I feel for you, orc dude. I had a month between sessions once. Never again. The memory loss is real, brilliant plans go flying out the window, and the dice gods curse you with Nat 1’s.
Either you or the people you play with don't actual care to play D&D. Easy assumption since 2020 is you're just a poser that quite literally doesn't know what the DMG is
...just a month? only once??
@@alwynapril8618yeah, right? I'm incredibly jealous right now...its been one and a half month...and such a cliffhanger...
@@BLEBBLEB Yeah... my GM's an airline pilot IRL, so tell me about it. 😂
@@alwynapril8618 oh no
Oh I can 100% relate to this. Also the poor Orc, he even called them his friends-
How could they have done this?!
This, is nothing but a tale of tragedy.
this brings the question, who are the real monsters?
@@mynameusedtobelong the real monsters are the friends we made along the way
@@galaxyo4618 For real!!
It's been what, two weeks now, says UA-cam?
I am still as bitter as can be!
How could they have done this?!
It's simply too much, too sad for me.
P-please exuse m-me.
@@oddestball5195 that’s because you only befriended murder hobos
The orc was nice entertaining himself waiting and after all that time he called them his friends he wanted to go for a hug because he missed the players... Really good fella
I dunno why but the orc going "boop" was just too freaking cute
Reminds me of the episode of Futurama where Fry's dog waits for him to come back.
Damn man, i rarely ever cry, but that one.....
That one still gets me.
It reminds me of Cash Back. It's a famous short about a store clerk who figures out how to stop time, so naturally be abuses it to undress the people.
@@joew8438 i would probably stop time only on days off, just so i have more time off.☺️
It's a reference to a Japanese dog who waited for his owner to Come back from work every day, he died at work (he worked at a factory), his dog waited for him every day, people would give him food so he wouldn't die and when he did, the mayor built a statue for the dog
No no, just got a little something in my eye... *sniff...* Who's in here cutting orc onions? 🥲
Did someone say there's ornions being cut? I was just passing through, and totally didn't just whitness something sad. 🥹
Oh it was the onions all along. that must be why
those guys are cutting orc, not sure about the onion
Orcians
They have layers.
"My friends! You came back!"
... words I'll never say
Too bad the DM didn't give the orc a magic marker. "Let's doodle on them!"
Oh man, way to make me feel sorry for the random orc. Poor guy.
Awww, the ork booped her nose, and then she killed him.😢
Sniffs the bards hair
I really can't wait for the next official episode. I'm always checking UA-cam for more from Deerstalker.
Image the dm telling them they lost Chrisma for killing an unhostil ork welcoming them back and they now have a bounty on their head by his grandchildren
YESSSSSS!!!! He was so kind and peaceful and changed his ways too. He protected them while they were afk all these years and built a hut nearby to have his family. etc etc.
Imagine he had started a farm and a family while waiting for their comeback
My german ass thought she asked if it was 3 o'clock (pm) because otherwise the screaming would've had her neighbours on her doorstep
Why would you punch an old man? Thats not fair!!!
and hes wearing glasses now
Old people in D&D are the ones you have to watch out for. It means they're high leveled/experienced.
murderhobo gonna murderhobo
It was a good death.
I can't wait for my next game session either.
It's the same thing every week. We play for 3 hours and spend the rest of the week waiting to meet up again.
It's a shame he didn't draw mustaches on them.
Touching the paused still burning ball of fire and getting burned
Sometimes your greatest enemies can be your greatest friends
That would be an interesting mechanic to put in your DnD games.
You and your party blip out of existence whenever you aren't at the table and, when you return, your party have travelled forward through time for however long you were away.
The bad guys and bosses would kill the afk players, take over the lands, and enslave the free world.
Bbeg can't kill them while they are out of existance but can surely take over the world in the time frame.@@RabiezDeWorgen
he should have been leveling up while they were away
I felt this as a player and the DM wanted to leave mid sesh. I became the DM so no one would ever have to feel that. Now once every Saturday, we stay around 8pm and usually run until about 1 to 3 am. Most the time the whole party stays and sometimes have gone passed 4am, that's 9 hours minus whatever time for breaks. Never have they been left in the middle of combat but cliffhangers however...... 😈😈 Last we left off, someone's kitty was stolen by an animal killing cultist, will they make it in time..... Who knows?!?
When the orc called them his friends just to be brutally murdered by them- 😭
Is it just me or has Nixie's lisp gotten even more adorable?
Perhaps trade for losing a lot of her pinkness
Which is why we always finish a session by finishing combat.
As the forever dm I can relate to the orc just playing with frozen PC's because everyone is busy :c poor guy
The ork had so much character growth. Sad to end it like that.
"Man, I can't wait to be murdered by these guys once they come back..."
Me: This orc had, while you were gone, became good friends with a powerful dragon. Now, this dragon is hunting you
The dragon’s buddy will be avenged
That got me thinking: what if you (as a dungeon master) describe some events that happened between sessions, like, maybe there was a rampage in the N village or a revolution in the capital, perhaps a horde of undead brought havoc in the N town, or some goofy stuff, like this very short, you come back to an old orc warrior who found peace in life after waiting for so long that you can give players the option to not kill him. Or maybe give an item that warps time around the party while players are gone, or something like that.
They run the session the turn the orc a easy opponent removing his strength. Such a strategy!
Vc por Aki, tá parecendo o Chapolin kkkk
@@The8Wolf8 me esforço pra estar presente eu todo lugar do UA-cam de RPG.
If you're confused, why the orc didn't go and leave is because he would have gone to far and unloaded.
nixie's player is pretty like super pretty. i really like your outfit
I can relate - Neevara - Human Champion Fighter - still unconscious, after the arrows and exploding diseased dinosaur. Myer - Human Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer - sleeping in the tavern. Zerif - Yuan-Ti Vengeance Paladin - just 1v1ed a succubus. Smoke - Tabaxi Dhampir Swashbuckler Rogue - just battled some thugs, and is about to interrogate a captured one.....
You know, I could create a party out of them......
6/14/24 - Good news, Smoke's back in action. He's multi-classed into a Celestial Warlock.
It’s been 6 months since our last session. It was also our first, I should mention.
This is the best one I've seen lmao
why is this so sad? xD
_Lord Eriks Eshteross has left the chat_
This is why if my session has to end mid combat (and the session doesnt resume within the next two days) I'll drop my players' health and probably break some of the items to make it seem like they lost a difficult fight and had to retreat in order to survive. I'm not killing them, but if they are already low health, they will probably drop to one hp.
“I wish I had more time” hits deep… for dnd… and in life in general
Sniffing his hair and going "mmmhh" caught me off guard I can't stop laughing!
Well it's been 5 months and 7 days since the last session, and by the new campaing ideas I'm starting to think that we will never end that story
Seasons Change, Time Passes by, as the Weeks become the Months, Become the yeaaaaaaars...
I love you guys binging every episode
You guys just gave me an amazing idea. Next time my party leaves like that, the game will continue running no matter what. Unlucky for them if they come back at the next session and find out they are all dead 😂😂
I'm gonna make it that the evil temporal Arch-Wizard shows up and freezes the party when the session leaves
The more time you spend planning, the more time the dice gods can spend playing and waiting for that nat1 to come
I wish I could give a hug to this orc
falling in love with frozen people and thinking that makes them your friend as this poor orc has done should be called the "Wal-E Effect"
I loved the Twilight Zone quote at the end.
I kinda want to put in my next campaign something like this.
Where the players freeze, can't be harmed, moved, or any of the such, but the world goes on.
this just reminds me of the pain I faced when first trying to get into dnd. I spent 3-4 years trying to find a single game
This could be a good DND idea. An orc who was trapped in time where he is the only one ages and talks with the still bodies of the adventurers and actually changed his ways
One moment of silence for all the session that will never be resumed...
"Boop" lol. This was so cute
all those years and not once did he stop to reconsider the choices that led him to this point
The orc went in for a hug😭
Last session we ended on our mind-controlled paladin about to murder all of us. Now I'm just thinking about our NPC companions all freaking out in a time-stop before shit goes down(we have three, four if you count my familiar but my familiar is also currently dead because Strahd)
Curse of Strahd?
@@TrueFlameslinger Yep! We actually just finished the campaign(our fighter dealt the finishing blow to the bloodsucker and it was amazing!) and it was a great ending and epilogue! (Also, on a side note, I found out there was a bit more to my familiar than meets the eye and I loved the twist there!)
@@spiderFern Oh nice! My table just started, and from what my DM told me I think my character is probably the most likely to get mind-controlled, so that's gonna be fun!
Did your DM take control of the paladin like an NPC, or did he let the Paladin play it out as a PvP type thing?
@@TrueFlameslinger Ooh have fun! But yeah, our DM let the Paladin play it out! We had a whole pvp fight with us versus her and some zombies that came along. So a lot of the NPCs were fixated on the zombies while the party was fighting the paladin, who btw had all of her lay on hands still while the fighter was at low health and my warlock was saving his one remaining spell slot for healing purposes. I did roll abnormally well on eldritch blast, though. Anyway, we finally knocked her out and tied her up until we managed to break the charm. And she only broke out of those restraints once, while she was in a place my PC physically couldn't go. (Hallowed Ground affects fey too!)
In my opinion, the very beginning of combat is a great time to end a session. If it looks like a combat will start too close to when the session is supposed to end anyway, I like to let the scene play out up to rolling for initiative and placing the minis on the board. Then I take a picture of the board and save the initiative for next session. When we come back, we do a quick recap of what happened leading up to combat and then go directly into turn 1.
🤣 Awe he was so lonely and he was just happy to have them back…
This... is actually a great idea for a campaign.
Whenever your players leave the table they're frozen in time but the rest of the world keeps going.
Depending on how long they're gone, jobs could be finished, allies could be slain... so many possibilities.
Wow perspective really changes the way you look at things
The fact he started with a "boop"
Alt title: how to win every fight (answer: wait for enemy to die of old are or just fight them when they grow too old)💀
I like the idea that time still passes when the players leave but if they encounter somebody that person is forced to stay with them until they return and all because of a curse
Love the dudes mjolnir necklace
First few seconds of music here and the ork's armor remind me of the animated movie Mulan :") I don't know if it was intentional but well, I really like the clip!
Bad DM prep, end a session at the begining of a big combat. And next session IS combat
Pink hair girl is too cute 🥰
Ohhh... I like this! Make a Narnia world style campaign, where the time keeps running even though players aren't playing
Bro was so happy to see them and they just spit on their face, orc lives matter 💚
You know what that's the first video I've enjoyed
Poor orc, had to wait several in-game years. Think if this happened for real and the same time would pass between sessions as in reality.
That used to be how it worked, I think
The bad guys and bosses would kill the afk players, take over the lands, and enslave the free world.
Omg we love ending in the middle of stuff way to much. It works out fine though cause of our game style.
We ended our last session mid combat with our boss fight boss casting “dominate person” and telling us to “drown”
Hard to believe, but my last session was 2 years ago...
Imagine next session where DM punish players and breaks 4th wall by saying something like: "while orc been waiting you for the battle, he trained a little bit" and then give orc a massive stat up to make that encounter at least really hard, if not lethal
When I replay my game for the 10th time, some of the enemies feel like old friends, and I miss them when they don't respawn...
I'd love for a DM to do this kinda thing? Imagine time still passing between sessions.
At least they came back.
I plan on doing this now. Thank you for the idea.
I am that busy mj who lets YEARS between two sessions 🤣
I feel that, we always have 4 weeks between every session because of peoples works and stuff. It sucks so bad
When you had a log off break in Skyrim
My inner DM has a plan, leave after initiation of combat gives the opponent opportunity to hire npcs of every class to study and examine each player who left they and their minions can then train to counter and deal with the pcs group
There is an anime that holds a plot around this. Everytime they get sent back to that world years have passed. One of the main characters falls in love with a character of that world. When he goes back she is already a grandma. Still thirst for him though.
How is it called?
Reminds me of the book series NPCs. Great audiobook too. Love the skits guys!
When an anime villain or Power Ranger villain is waiting for the hero to power up.
that would be an interesting concept, every time a session ends time freezes for the characters but continues everywhere else
It’s impossible for someone to ruin that campaign because in between sessions you just have time pass and “oh there’s a new bbeg after you accidentally shoved the previous one off a bridge!” And the new bbeg is the old ones right hand man who took command in the time the heroes were missing
Or a child they saved is suddenly a old man who has been “caring for them all this time, making sure no dust or dirt tarnish their still figures”
Literally our party. Three of players, including me, got sick this week, one is in the hospital. And the week before was too busy, so our DM was working the whole time
He may be an orc but he has enough honor to wait that long, what a chad
If I ever make a D&D campaign, I'll have to remember to do this. Just make it canon that the amount of real time passing between sessions is also passing in game, and stuff happens while they're off at work or something. Like they're about to enter battle but the party has to end the session, and when they come back they would start off from a hospital because the enemy took pity because the party just froze up and the enemy thought that they were having some kind of problem so they took the party to a hospital
If you look into this it's an actual feature of the older dnds. Basically if you leave in a dangerous place, you will suffer some consequence. Also, time passes at the normal speed when not playing, but while playing you can speed it up by doing things like short/long rests, etc.
Nice mjolnir
A truly tragic tale he even called them his friends
Stopping at the start of combat is better than stopping mid combat
Party of three. Damn. Recalculate those CR's again
One person in our group is notorious for showing up late and being the first one to leave so yeah we had something like that happen as well it was a messy session anyways because he rushed in a fight without thinking and he brought another person along who was interested in becoming a DM so our DM gave him a few enemies to fight as and well it was a very boring and lengthy session (we didn't get far because DM in training did nothing but wait with his enemies) and the next time we played our DM decided to reset the whole thing
goes from baddy to poor innocent soul because of breaks. that would make things even funnier if there was a long break and perceptions were changed. "the orc whom you thought was your enemy has aged decades while you were frozen in time, and now thinks of you as friends as he stood watch over your frozen bodies for decades wondering what great power you had to make the gods freeze you like that."
I feel really bad for the orc.
That's enough internet for today.
