For Frodo’s cloak, I recommend using the softgoods green cloak that comes with Toybiz Frodo and Arwen horse set or even the softgoods elven cloak that comes with the Aragorn and Brego horse pack. The latter may drape better on this taller version of Frodo
I agree, the fabric capes would work nicely! I don’t know how this happened, but somehow I have like 4 plastic cloaks I can spare, but no fabric ones, though! 🤷🏻♂️
If only Diamond Select had kept the ToyBiz scale, I am sure I buy it complete, but honestly a 7 "average height figure is too much. Also, this scale allows freedom to articulate even the fingers of the hands (like toybiz) but not They did. Of the rest, it is more fun to improve the toybiz figures by matching them to the Diamond select ones in my craft workshop. I much prefer the iconic figures from Toybiz.
Are there any 6-7 inch Legolas figures that have double jointed elbows? I know with my DST Legolas, I’ve been able to get some good poses with him aiming the bow. It helps if you separate the fingers on the right hand and use hot then cold water to get the left hand to hold the bow better. Plus, the daggers and arrows from the ToyBiz Legolas work pretty well with it.
Hey do you think you could shape the nazgul sleeves? like cutting and maybe with some heat power. Maybe is not perfect but ut wuld be could to remove that so it's more functional. Just an idea :).
Diamond Select “Nazgul” is 7&1/8 inches tall, ToyBiz Fellowship witchking (with stabbing action feature) is 7 inches tall, so just 1/8” difference. ToyBiz Nazgul that originally came with the horse and was later released alone is 6 & 5/8 inches tall, the rare ToyBiz Nazgul on fire 🔥 is 7 & 1/4 inches tall (not including the flames so actually taller than DS), and the Witch King with crown from Return of the King is 6& 7/8 inches tall (not including the spikes on his head)
I think the Nazgûl would look perfect with fabric sleeves instead of plastic! Maybe if you cut off the plastic ones, you could fit the cloth robes from the Toy Biz figure overtop so you don’t have to sew your own robe/sleeves.
@@noskillcustoms yeah 100%. Thing is the robes might be a little small due to nazzys size difference. I've already chipped off the plastic sleeves up to the hands and I'll have to say that alone freed up soo much articulation. The hand can swivel 360 and tilt updown, This figure isn't a statue, it has a lot of pose potential locked behind hard plastic, it can even turn head, torso and sit on a horse. The back Cape will need to be replaced for sitting on the horse. Put a sting or something around the waist and attach the hilts so he can wear his morgul dagger and longsword. This fig is basically a good base for modding potential
@@noskillcustoms well I did it and I can say it turned out just like I wanted to. I havent even sewed anything yet and can already can see some improvements. trying to figure how I can show you it
Here’s a little spoiler about the new Aragorn figure he’s only missing the bow and quiver as I have a the new Aragorn figure pretty awesome please make a review of Aragorn it also comes with Anudril too, ranger sword and elven haunting knife minus the bow and quiver. Also it comes with torches

Every diamond select lotr figure has been light-years better than my toybiz counterparts
Toybiz still kills it in comparison. I do like the hair sculpt better on the new Frodo, but these don’t even come close to the old ones
They’re getting there, but yeah, I’m not necessarily going to buy everything from Diamond Select
Yea, not getting the harsh critics out there. They still all make toybiz figures look shit. I have both
For Sauron's cloak, his back has a 'V' shaped piece that comes off and you loop the 3 holes through that piece into his back.
Thank you so much! I was never gonna figure that out!

I was thinking of doing something like that, maybe replacing the sleeves with fabric…
@@noskillcustoms Please do a tutorial or something
could you please check if the toy biz witch king and this figure really is EXACTLY the same height??

@@noskillcustoms The sleeves on the DS version are pretty crazy
Im thinking of customizing the nazzy with some cloth sleaves which is probably going to require me to saw off the plastic ones 😅

I just got mine and I’m working on the video!
Which boromir figure is that in 0:55?
He is officially called “Super Poseable Boromir” He was available in the smaller Fellowship of the Ring packaging in 2003.
