Still can't get over how good this song is
There are so many different elements to this song. When I first heard it, I was like, "What the heck did I just listen to?" But, in the best possible way because i went back and listened to it over and over. I love the lyrical tribute to "Turn, Turn, Turn" by the Byrds, and the vocal melody of "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles. The second verse sounds like Ariel Pink covering Brian Eno covering Ariel Pink. I hear moments of Industrial, EDM, and, even a little Gothic thrown in for good measure. All of this probably should not work; but, they do. This song is incredible.

Mature Themes has grown to be my favorite. Almost transcendental in quality. I wouldn't know how to describe it otherwise without sounding corny but it just tickles my soul. As if it was the soundtrack of my previous life

Pre-Before Today is kinda choppy but 'House Arrest' may very well be his absolute greatest album, especially that version (really chaotic release history!) that has 'Netherlands'/'Higher and Higher' as the 2 last tracks.
