No lie, Isaac Clarke is probably my favorite horror protagonist. It’s just amazing how they took a reactionary silent protagonist and made him into a sort of dry wit proactive everyman. Showed what true care can do but what I love more than anything is the man responsible for just mere grunts, screams, and huffs was brought back in the sequel and turned out to be an incredible actor. Gunner Wright just feels so real as the character and I do hope if they do anything they at least bring him back in the remake and allow him to speak. Maybe we can finally tie those loose threads left undone throughout the series too.

Finally someone acknowledges Dead Space Mobile. Many Dead Space fans seem to ignore the importance of that game. Wow dude. These are some fantastic videos. Very awesome to watch and see everything chronologically from all the games like this. I can imagine that these took you a fair bit of time and effort and I applaud you for the effort and thank you very, very much for the extremely worthwhile content. I will be eagerly awaiting whatever Dead Space content you come out with next. Wonderful!
You have to understand that they are also a people in a relatively hopeless setting where they are running out of resources. They are likely very nihilistic and depressed so any ray of hope will make them fanatics.
Great video, you somehow kept me interested for more than an hour waiting for downloads. Never knew about deadspace 2 dlc/extras with the guy trying to save his wife, now I got to replay it. Gonna marathon all the vids now lol
I will be doing the tau volantis timeline video after a couple of lore videos that will help people to better understand a few things within them as some things that happen within dead space 3 don't happen on tau volantis like the luna colony outbreak and the events of dead space liberation along with the succession wars.
Dude I genuinely love your work, you’re really good at constructing things and organizing them in a really well made timeline! I hope you get more subs soon!
You know I really like Tidemann as a villain, he was genuinely reluctant about killing clarke, and he cared for the people of the sprawl ordering the evacuation of the public sector. Also when you reach the marker, he gives a speech in wich he said that they were close to understand the marker power source, and I kinda believe him, with earth so starved for resources that understanding could have turned things around for humanity. In the end it was unitology memebers that fucked everything up, and Isaac leads the whole horde to the goverment sector triggering the convergence event.
I love this video for one reason - it paints a good picture of what truly caused the Sprawl to get overrun by Necromorphs in the first place - the Unis sending their faithful down deep into the mines to commit suicide to build up a collection of bodies for use, and the betrayed use of Vandal to sabotage important points and unwittingly unleash the necrofied bodies of the Unis. I never got to play the bridging games, so learning about their involvement in bridging DS1 to DS2 was very helpful in understanding how Isaac wakes up in a new hellhole
As someone who is fascinated with the story and lore of Dead Space, but is also a huge wimp, I absolutely love all your videos! It makes me feel like I get to experience the story firsthand, but without the horrifying nightmares that (possibly) come with actually playing the game
Anyone else think that Gabe killed himself? 51:18 I think it was hallucination made by marker. I think that Bartlett was dead already and Gabe just had hallucinations of him, blowing himself up. It's pity that he lost only one leg. Because of this sentence: "Goodbye Lex".
Isaac clarke is a badass hero of all times he survived the alien attack on mining ship kill both corrupt government and religious fanatics And now he kills the moon
Jeeesus, that volume differential. One second I'm straining my ears to hear, the next my eardrums are being blown. Damn. Aside from that, this is fantastic.
Honestly I would've loved it if in dead space 3 your co op companion would've been Gabe. It would've been cool if he was actually rescued at the end by Ellie and Issac. Like maybe Ellie knew of Gabe and maybe they were friends. But sadly Gabe died :(
Lol cash grab can't see why you would support this get your nostalgia and fanboy tendencies out of here and look at this from a business standpoint specifically EA's view of the game industry the same people who ruined the dead space franchise and shut down visceral for their mistakes.
Dead Space just makes me think that all space faring vessels and stations should be compartmentalized and detachable. Homeworld Cataclysm/Emergence taught us well that if there's an infection breaking out on your ship, if you can just detach the deck in which it's happening, you can save so much of the rest of it. Titan Station would've benefitted from the same design.
Wouldn't help in this scenario even though yes you can get turned by certain necromorphs its all caused by the marker so unless your willing to throw your energy source into space your fucked
Thank you for a great video, really well done. One small thing, the volume change between the in game content and your narration is a bit off. Had to mash for my phone to turn the volume down a few times. Still really appreciate the content and your time
Great documentary style video on the Dead Space Lore and connecting the dots on the Sprawl. I find it so interesting and fascinating of how ambiguous and realistic/grounded of the Dead Space universe is.
Technically, the first time Isaac would've seen the Ubermorph was when he let the Necromorphs into the Government Sector where it can be seen leading the charge.
One thing I appreciate is the moment you get to the apartment section of the station. Its fucking gut churning, with the Ishimura, it was easy to tell something was fucked from the get go, Isaac and the others went in somewhat prepared. But this is a civilian center, a place supposed to be safe. And now you have to watch innocent people get butchered by monsters that shouldn't even be there
Mate i love lore videos like this one but you should seriously tweak the audio..gameplay clips are so loud while youre not i had to constantly increase and decrease volume from start to end of the video But besides that good job really well done
👏👏👏👏👏 No way that's impossible. You put all timeline in Dead Space 2 and Severed begin before outbreak. The truth about Dead Space mobile and Ignition are completely overrun by necromorphs on Titan Station. 👍 You were get smart moves and awesome history about all Dead Space series. 🍻 Wants some drink with me?
I have a personal theory, maybe Lex was manning the gunship that killed Dana and was after Issac because she was blaming the facility for Gabe’s death and assumed Issac was a Earth Gov officer
again, a job well done. I really enjoyed this one, as well as the aegis 7 one. again, the overall volume of the gamefootage in the video need to be taken down a bit so it doesn't get too loud.
I still don't understand one thing about Issac's relationship with 'dead' Nicole. I mean, back in DS1 he knew at the end that Nicole is a threat and tried to persuade him to trigger a convergence event by bringing the marker back to the Aegis 7 colony. But why in the hell would he think that 'dead' Nicole in DS2 would help him destroy it?
All she said was bring the marker back to the pedestal never once talked about convergence where people get that from is dead space 2 the pedestal expands the markers dead space field and any necromorphs within that field will cease and fall into dormancy basically immobilized without dismemberment. In a nutshell original team had one idea team behind ds2 had other ideas and just went with it without thinking of the continuity.
@@TheBritishRunner they actually do clarify that in 3, detailing that the few copy markers we made did get altered, so the Dead Space Signal could be expanded and so that it could disable the Necromorphs. It's clarified that the Original Markers do permeate the Convergence signal whereas these ones more or less have that as a side effect, which leads to Necromorphs while active
@@lezionscorner4376 If these markers could be controlled. You could build a community that ends just before the dead space. And pull a death stranding by cremating the corpses as soon as you could. But the markers only have one master. The brethren moons. If awakened is truly considered canon, one can hope humanity might still have a chance. Though danon destroyed many a colony due to his demented zealotry. Screw you unitology.
thanks for this great lore documentary! Thank for your great work. But would you kindly balance the audio volume in next video? Every time when the in-game video plays it breaks my ears.
In the second game there's a major spoiler for the USG Ishimura during chapter 7 when you're realigning the solar array if you look down while floating through space at the sprawl you can clearly see the ship. It also puts into perspective how insanely massive the sprawl really is that it completely dwarfs the ship.
Great video as usual but I have to say the audio balance needs to be improved, your voice is incredible quite in the mix but the second you go into gameplay I have to half my volume because of how loud the game is towards any other audio in the video
That was the problem with some of the music from downfall it will be at ambient level for most the track then at somepoint it will spike to a whole new level however I believe that I have fixed the issue with my later uploads so have no fear.
@@TheBritishRunner thank you for the reply! Ah fair enough then my dude, all the same amazing video and glad you could figure out what that audio issue was
They said they would change a few story elements to implement later LORE elements (like hints and easter eggs about the brethren moons and what not, rather than a rewrite). They also stated they would removed some of elements of gameplay that players didn't enjoy (I hope that means a change to the zero G section) and one continuousgame like dead space 2. Other than that, it's supposed to be a faithful remake with one camera angle through the whole game.
Hey man, love the videos, I've watched multiple times because it's just a good source of information from the deadspace universe. One question though, not sure if you covered it or not but, how exactly did the ishimura survive the explosion from aegis 7? Seems like since it was destroying other ships when they were recovering marker fragments, how would have it survived that? Or did they get the ishimura before they tried to recover them?
The explosion of the continent impacting the surface of Aegis VII slingshot it back into space propelled by the blast. The force was so great from the impact that marker shards impacted the hull so had to have been quite a considerable amount of force to throw it into deep space.
As much as I enjoy the lore and collective storytelling of each Dead Space title...the video has some glaring issues that need adjusting for the future. For starters, it's quite tiring to be sitting for a minute straight of listening to Dead Space horror music while scrolling the same five/six images, just for a title card of the next scenario. Recommend just putting up a title card for a few seconds with the images flashing in the background...not for a minute or more - I understand you need to increase video length for the algorithm at times, but perhaps instead of empty, wasted space...you fill it with more commentary, such as suggestions, questions, to lure the listeners/viewers on? Second, the audio is a blaring 1,000% (even at 10% UA-cam video volume), while your own voice is quieter than a Church mouse in the dead of the night. I would highly recommend adjusting audio tones so the music and sound effects of clips provided aren't so ear-splitting loud, that induces deafness in your listeners/watchers should they be headphone wearers, whilst keeping your voice near tone deaf - I get that Dead Space is about horror...the video does not have to be jump scare central.
Agreed. The transitions are pointlessly long. This is leafy levels of padding. Audio levels need some work as well, as you stated. Otherwise I think it was fine.
Awesome, but might wanna work on the audio mixing. Some of the in game portions of dialogue you added are super loud compared to your audio. Other than that the video is great

52:14 he say goodbye leg as his lost his leg and he love his leg. Lex she misunderstood.
Thanks for making these really awesome incredibly in-depth lore videos. I love deep lore. Please keep up the amazing work.
The quality of these vids is awesome, and you can tell how long they must take. Thanks for putting out great stuff
My mind has been blown by this collective story telling and the way you've set it up, HOLY SHIT.
At 56:48 i once read a good comment, the person Stross is referring to is the player, since we play the game and we are staring at stross. Not sure if it's a easter egg, but thought id point that out.
I thought that as well because he’s not looking at Isaac when he says stop staring, he’s looking directly at the camera.
Finally someone acknowledges Dead Space Mobile. Many Dead Space fans seem to ignore the importance of that game. You can still get the game in android devices via apk but I would like to note it can be a bit buggy in terms of the necromorph models being stretched out in some occasions blocking your view.
That's the same as the first game though.
Played it on the original android Motorola razer. What a wonderfully laggy experience lmfao.
Played on iPad 2. Pretty much the best console like single player experience one can get on mobile.
@@pkdeathrow3142 what's worth acknowledging
You know what I realized, where’s the guy who had to chop off his own arm in extraction? I would assume him and lex would be together
He turned into a necromorph at the end of extraction and Lexine kills him.
@@TheBritishRunner ohhhh thanks man
And the British guy let her fly through space and all but neglected her. Why did they get married?
Wonderful!
Well all I can say about the next one is "We are hungry, We are Coming".
I was really really inpressed that you actually covered the mobile game. You are the only person I've seen do that lmao. Thank you.
Reminds me of my Samsung S3😭😂
Make us whole again, Marker: i'm just a WiFi
Strongest wifi ever
Kinda odd that people want this infection to spread willingly, even under alien influence they should recognise mutated derpness
That's fanatics for you...
Man I love the dedicación you put in these!
Are you gonna do timeline about Tau Volantis and DS3?
I will be doing the tau volantis timeline video after a couple of lore videos that will help people to better understand a few things within them as some things that happen within dead space 3 don't happen on tau volantis like the luna colony outbreak and the events of dead space liberation along with the succession wars.
@@TheBritishRunner Your videos help me sleep! Thank you!
Once again, great work tying things together as best as possible! Super enjoyed this. Dead Space 1 & 2 are my faves. 3... uh... um... still great job!
Three, while adding some interesting lore, was a mess.
@@ArbiterofTruth wish the whole game of 3 was like the dlc awakened
@@Ashhley_the_shawty I could not agree more.
Dude I genuinely love your work, you’re really good at constructing things and organizing them in a really well made timeline! I hope you get more subs soon!
The dead space mobile game was the first one I've ever played
You know I really like Tidemann as a villain, he was genuinely reluctant about killing clarke, and he cared for the people of the sprawl ordering the evacuation of the public sector.
Also when you reach the marker, he gives a speech in wich he said that they were close to understand the marker power source, and I kinda believe him, with earth so starved for resources that understanding could have turned things around for humanity. In the end it was unitology memebers that fucked everything up, and Isaac leads the whole horde to the goverment sector triggering the convergence event.
Amazingly done as always!
Very good video. Everything about Dead Space from you is plasure to watch. Greetings! :D
Beautiful video. I am currently working my way through the dead Space stories and I found this video to be excellent. Thank you, bro.
Just discovered your channel while looking up dead space content. You definitely deserve more subs, keep up the good work!
Isaac clarke is a badass hero of all times he survived the
alien attack on mining ship
kill both corrupt government and religious fanatics
And now he kills the moon
Jeeesus, that volume differential.
One second I'm straining my ears to hear, the next my eardrums are being blown. Damn.
Aside from that, this is fantastic.
Honestly I would've loved it if in dead space 3 your co op companion would've been Gabe. It would've been cool if he was actually rescued at the end by Ellie and Issac. Like maybe Ellie knew of Gabe and maybe they were friends. But sadly Gabe died :(
With the new dead space remake maybe we can have a whole new universe.
@@antoine121 I hope they change some things but not everything. Hopefully new ending for the game?
Lol cash grab can't see why you would support this get your nostalgia and fanboy tendencies out of here and look at this from a business standpoint specifically EA's view of the game industry the same people who ruined the dead space franchise and shut down visceral for their mistakes.
@@liccasinocomfreespins7337uhh, the remake is pretty good so far so yeah, you were wrong
Watching the opening scene for dead space 2 is just chilling. Hearing the screams and watching their health drop.
The lore behind dead space is so beautiful. The best I've ever came across
Bro this was amazing I hope you do a video on dead space 3
That will be one for the next season along with some lore videos in the meantime.
Do you have any plans for detailing the events of the S.C.A.F. forces on Tau Volantis?
Maybe...
@@TheBritishRunner I'd love to see it too
This is insane good. Well put together !
Thanks for these awesome videos! I have been looking for some good lore videos on the Dead space series and these are great.
Still really appreciate the content and your time
Damn, i didnt know such a chad like Gabe existed
Great documentary style video on the Dead Space Lore and connecting the dots on the Sprawl. I find it so interesting and fascinating of how ambiguous and realistic/grounded of the Dead Space universe is.
Technically, the first time Isaac would've seen the Ubermorph was when he let the Necromorphs into the Government Sector where it can be seen leading the charge.
Great job on covering the entire dead space 2 sprawl timeline.
Amazing coverage of the game well done.
One thing I appreciate is the moment you get to the apartment section of the station. Its fucking gut churning, with the Ishimura, it was easy to tell something was fucked from the get go, Isaac and the others went in somewhat prepared. But this is a civilian center, a place supposed to be safe. And now you have to watch innocent people get butchered by monsters that shouldn't even be there
This was great! Keep it up my man!
Mate i love lore videos like this one but you should seriously tweak the audio..gameplay clips are so loud while youre not i had to constantly increase and decrease volume from start to end of the video
But besides that good job really well done
👏👏👏👏👏 No way that's impossible. You put all timeline in Dead Space 2 and Severed begin before outbreak. The truth about Dead Space mobile and Ignition are completely overrun by necromorphs on Titan Station.
👍 You were get smart moves and awesome history about all Dead Space series. 🍻 Wants some drink with me?
Dude : your videos are fabulous !
I have a personal theory, maybe Lex was manning the gunship that killed Dana and was after Issac because she was blaming the facility for Gabe’s death and assumed Issac was a Earth Gov officer
The ios game should get a HD remake
again, a job well done.
@@TheBritishRunner ohh now i see. Thanks!
@@sausagedancer1712 no worries dude
This is a wonderfully informational video!
Great video. Just watched them both back to back. Will have to see if you’ve gotten round to DS3 yet!
This is a masterpiece goodwork subscribed !
Great job!
I love this content, man. Take my sub, you earned it and so much more.
Very well produced, good content.
Isaac in the straitjacket intro was so fuckin sick got me hype for the game
Haven’t heard the necromorph sound in a min. Shit is terrifying I love it
thanks for this great lore documentary! Thank for your great work.
But would you kindly balance the audio volume in next video? Every time when the in-game video plays it breaks my ears.
I love this I always had wonder how the outbreak started Imagine a life action movie based on the outbreak on Titan
No lie, the sequel game started off so well!
One of the ships name was Abraxas, thats the name of a demon, I wouldn't ever work on a ship with that name.
5:26 wasn’t there a 3rd person ? The guy who cut off his arm ?
Nope he turned.
@@TheBritishRunner oh.
this was pure fantastic loved loved this thank you soo much great job
In the second game there's a major spoiler for the USG Ishimura during chapter 7 when you're realigning the solar array if you look down while floating through space at the sprawl you can clearly see the ship. It also puts into perspective how insanely massive the sprawl really is that it completely dwarfs the ship.
Good video. Looks like I'd like this content. Subscribed. 👍
Ah fair enough then my dude, all the same amazing video and glad you could figure out what that audio issue was
Man i wonder how the Remake is going to change things around. I hope not much. DS1 was perfect.
Seriously- the plot was so deep and detailed. I wish 3 didnt muddle things up
They said they would change a few story elements to implement later LORE elements (like hints and easter eggs about the brethren moons and what not, rather than a rewrite). They also stated they would removed some of elements of gameplay that players didn't enjoy (I hope that means a change to the zero G section) and one continuousgame like dead space 2. Other than that, it's supposed to be a faithful remake with one camera angle through the whole game.
@@parkerschnepf9514 makes sense, probably have Nicole say convergence every so often or at least mention it.
@@TheBritishRunner ahh okay. That makes more sense, must've missed if you said that in the aegis 7 video then. Thanks for clarifying!

I have hard time to believe those people would still be alive even though there s that giant necromorph running around.

Books man, books and graphic novels... not bad horror sci-fi. The novels are bettef than the books.
Your videos are beast
You're doing good bru
More of a reason to see Unitology as a threat to mankind… And I will stand by it.
Where those two voices at the end of the dead space 2 credits those oracles from severed?
Not even 1 ad! Thanks :)
That means his video was demonetized and he's not making money off the work he put in. Not really a great thing
@@jeambeam3173 great thing for me cause I don't watch any ads 😂. He may have chosen not to add them in either

Awesome, but might wanna work on the audio mixing. Some of the in game portions of dialogue you added are super loud compared to your audio. Other than that the video is great
