In singapore housing is over priced and total control of govt. Its a 99yr lease hold meaning one never own it rather take a lease aggreement from govt. A small 3bedroom (4 room type) under 900 sqft cost 370k to 420 k above now.
People are taking huge mortage for 30 yrs and making sg banks richer. Banks will have the last laugh . Jobs in sg are increasingly unstable. Many has left sg for good i mean who ever can or better circumstances.. thats the dark reality of sg properties
Where as usa one can live in landed property but i dont like houses made of oak woods mainly woods and very little concrete hence u need fire and other insurance. There another big lobby behind this insurance and property..
Ever wonder why huge sky scrappers are not built using wood.. earth quakes /typhoon are not credible reason
I worked as US mortgage underwriter..it was hell job your detailing took me back to that bad memory 🤣🤣🤣.. Sometimes when i review sales contract i used to see bible notes in malayalam..

As per my understanding outsiders are allowed to take buy land/house in USA and also can take loan as long they meet the eligibility requirements of the bank. Foreigners can invest is USA even if they are not staying there.
