We thought she was just using Hololive as a launching pad to build popularity before branching out, but little did we know she's been one of the more solidly built in members to hololive (for the forseable future anyways).

This reminds me of how I listened to PHANTOMIME for the first time not as soon as it was released but while I was having a very stressful day. Part of that day involved temporary loss of Internet keeping me from listening to Neru's My Name Is Lovesong while doing day job things, and it piled on the stress I've been putting myself through as a VTuber fanboy. And frankly, I hadn't been into Calli's music as I much as I had been during her pre-Universal releases. What mainly motivated me to listen to PHANTOMIME at that point was pretty much "I don't expect much from this, but I don't want this haunting my backlog any longer." And then I heard the sound of catharsis for not only Madam Reaper herself but also for me. I felt like I revisited the days when she got me into hololive Production and VTubers, and I felt like we built on those days way better than we like to think, and yes, that's even while I still feel like we have to deal with an audience that's more usually into T&A and bigotry. And I gained a better understanding of my liking for her, a liking that was clouded by so much lust especially back then: Even if most or even all of those who perceive her like to think otherwise, and even if it doesn't get her so popular, the Grim Reaper named Calliope Mori lives not just for more than cheap thrills but also for things like healthy bonds. May the Lord challenge and guide me and my fellow fools through her as well, then.
I also had a phase where I had to get used to her new music tbh. I'd like to think she's exploring and experimenting in every song. Ironically, a good analogy for how things change, for better or worse. I love Calli for trying to always find new ways to enjoy life and, by extension, sharing them with us viewers. No other job will ever allow her to basically go MIA for months with not even a simply "Hi" as communication AND still pay her monthly+merch+subs+superchats. Mumei will leave because she's about to graduate and it is hella clear she streams only as a side thing while she finishes her studies.

To me Calli and Suisei is the type that need management and their friends/genmates to stop them from taking on too much work.
