- The SuperMotocross World Championship rolls on with Playoff Two, the 2024 Fort Worth SuperMotocross. We climbed to the top of the tower at Texas Motor Speedway during Friday's Free Practice session and captured clips of the 250 and 450 Class riders as they put in laps on the massive track.
ET3 is lookin like he’s ready to bang bars with Jett, could be a nail biter, CW2 is lookin in fine form also.
That first Triple on that Double after the sand Deegan hit wide open was MASSIVE
I just watched it and went... wait, WHAT? That was huge.

That corner speed at 2:17 is absolutely silly. The kid is fast and works extremely hard. The best always attract negative attention from some fans, but from what i see-he uses that as fuel.

I like these questions because everyone’s like “65s are fine” until some kid breaks their neck trying to hit the big jump and ends up in a wheel chair then it’s like “he shouldn’t have done that” and “where’s the officials when you need them” I hope and pray everyone racing goes home healthy but where do yall draw the line and how do you enforce it?

Close your eyes and listen to all the random noises from those 4-strokes. If you take that away it's not worth going to the races. It's 90% of the experience.
Yea I went to the Birmingham race this year and it was a cool experience but I’d rather watch it on tv personally. You see a lot more
They said the the same thing when 4 strokes first came out because they sounded like tractors or wet farts in a bag. I think it would be cool to hear the riders talking shit and yelling during a moto

They will have each bike send a signal, based on throttle input, to an external controller which will convert that signal to a programmed “sound” and have it piped over the speaker system.
Auto manufacturers already do with some electric cars at lower speeds. I think Dodge has something similar to make a lame ass sound on their electric Hellcat Charger.
That's what I thought about 2 strokes when you stepped in the door at the race that smell and sound was part of the whole experience I still think it was a way better experience, going all electric for a race and I'm out , they would be great for riding at home and you always have neighbors bitching .

Yesss! I've been hard on the camera guys for years about being way too close trying to get action shots, and how being a bit further away is better because you can see more and really get a sense of scale when they're pulling a quad through a rhythm section, or railing a berm. You see the technique better. But I knew it wasn't as "actiony" as the closeups and knew that would be an issue, but I think you guys just solved it! That overhead drone like tower shot in the beginning is perfect 💯 it's far enough away to be able to see everything I mentioned, but flying the air still gives it that action movie feel that I know they don't want to lose. I'm not saying every shot has to be the, but that is definitely a shot that's used from here on out. And before you say it, yes I know they have had drones for awhile, but I've never seen it used on practice or press day like this. It's definitely a win for the camera crew 👏🏼

They should have brought in a lot more sand, some burms are right next to the tarmac, so if someone falls off the track, they hit the pavement, not very bright. Deegs will go 1 1 again, he looks smooth , while Levi is over riding the track and going much slower. Chase will have to ride well just to make the box, as the other riders look faster.

I won't be surprised if Deegan's lap times are faster than the 450's.
This happens often, RV, Dungy, Reed, Stewart all those guys and them some were able to post times on 125s or 250f faster than the big bike class. It's because the weight of the Bigger and heavier bikes make them harder to ride, hence the reason they are the premier class.

This looks nothing like the track map at all. It looks like they had one day to dig the dirt, throw it on the grass, and add sand. Now, this track is one lined. Deegs ran the scoop tire today. I don't think that's actually a great choice, but it's Deegs he was p1 he said today.

Chase came in with the points lead, Jett came in 6th and Eli came in 11th...
SMX Reset starting with Chase with 25 points, Jett with 16 points and Eli with 11 points...
Jett won the overall in round 1 with 25 points, add 16 and you get 41 points.
Eli got second overall with 22 points, add 11 and you get 33 points.
Chase got third overall with 20 points, add 25 and you get 45 points.

IF Jett wins the overall in round 2 he will get 50 points added to his 41, a total of 91 points.
IF Eli gets second he gets 44 points added to his 33, a total of 77 points.
IF Chase gets third he will get 40 points added to his 45, a total of 85 points after round 2.
round 3 just add 75 points to the overall winner, add 66 to second place and 60 points to third...

its wild how shit (yes im being harsh) the 250 field is when compared to Deegan and i think the split east/west has a big thing to do with making people think the 250 class is more competitive then it really is as they have 2 championships and crown 2 champs when the fact is which ever coast deegan isnt raing on may as well be for the fake championship... Everyone thinking Macadoo, RJ, levi and the likes might be able to bring it to deegan and they have failed. He has no competition, even look at him in the corner, gets in a rut then goes nah im gonna hop out of it now and pops right out, everyone else is just sticking to those lines that are made in front of them, they aint ever gonna win shit if they keep that up.
I cant ee any 250 rider in the current form they have and think "Dam they gonna be sick going against jett,hunta, chase inthe 450s" apart from Deegan.
Not a fan of tracks that don’t have an advantage to jump bigger lines to gain positions/time. The one thing this series needs to have is a “big boy line” to really crown smx champ

I feel like the sounds coming from the bikes sounds terrible, reminds me of that cheech and Chong movie bit where they had a bike inside their house with the exhaust going out the window and would just rev it all randomly for fun 😂 obviously 2 strokes were better sounding but I'm almost looking forward to electric bikes after hearing these lame noises today 😢
