Awesome. Have for a long time used speech to text. Most times there were so many errors that spent as much time editing as it word to just use the old dictation method of playing recording, pausing, typing, and restart. With this I can easily find direct quotes or a concept saving time and frustration. Thanks so very much for sharing this😃
I copy transcripts for use in posts that I do, I want the timestamps so that if I use a portion of a transcript I can give the video link and timestamp to whatever it is I am posting in relation to. The problem is that when you copy the transcript, that the timestamps and text are offset from each other, call it ocd, but I don't like it, so I have been manually going into a saved RTF file transcript lining up the mouse cursor with the text under a timestamp hitting the backspace key and then the spacebar so that the timestamp and the text are lined up and a space between the timestamp and the text. Some videos can be over an hour in length, and for time sake I only line up what I intend to use, but it bugs me that it is not complete, that the rest is not lined up, I do not know why but as I have gotten older, I have become nitpicky or OCD about various things and this just happens to be one of those things where I want it to look right, as being offset to me looks sloppy.
Can this be done on an iPad or iPhone if so how? I can’t seem to highlight the transcript to copy paste. No three dots at bottom of video only on top of transcript.
Click share button, click copy link. Paste it on mobile browser tab and click search. Go to browse settings find " desktop mode" click it. Go back to browser page, refresh it, now the UA-cam page like like a desktop version. Now follow the same process the lady says.
That's so odd! According to UA-cam it is supposed to be for everyone, even if you don't have a premium subscription. Maybe try logging in on a different type of browser? Like Chrome or Firefox? Good luck!
