Hey Guys !
Today i'm checking out the changes made to the Dasp.
It took me a little bit to get used to it but once i did, i realized the Dasp is now a very scary thing.
I hope the fans of the Dasp will enjoy this video, i honestly didn't want to stop playing it but if i hadn't, the video would not be coming out today lol :-)

Dasp is packing some heat now. Not that it didn't beforehand, but I see it becoming somewhat of an apex hunter now. That hit and run strat, and power like that means to me that slow tanky dinos are going to be ideal since they can't chase you and you got the power to muscle through their high CW and health.
Not alone, obviously, but a mid-size pack or even a pair that's been tyrant roar boosted will be a force.
Even alone it’s a force to be reckoned with, I learned that the first time I played it like half a year ago lol
Yea I'm pretty sure the reducing stamina recovery is only a buff if it says "reduced stamina recovery time" meaning the time taken to charge to full is reduced. The way it's worded here is that it just reduces stamina recovery, which means stamina recovery takes a hit.
They really do need to figure out a different way to phrase that stuff, maybe just put a plus or minus next to whatever it's helping or hurting. - Stamina recovery or + stamina recovery.
It basically means it will be longer for u to recover your stam
nah, the problem isn't that it's worded badly, it's worded perfectly fine.
the problem is that people don't know how to read things correctly anymore(nor write, really, i mean, just look at global chat any time you play official)

Dasp is one i heard was tough going solo (pre update) for what it is and i am usually solo, but the hit and run playstyle is really appealing, i may have to try it for myself.
Cera i was apprehensive because pre update cera was my favorite, but being able to troll a pachy earlier made me fall in love again. Everything is changed up but its really interesting, and even more interesting to watch your perspective 👍🔥
I'm liking how your videos are turning into sort of tutorials on how to play these dinosaurs.
And the fact that you tend to play dinosaurs other than whatever is the meta it shines lite on the less played dinos and shows that they are also good choices.

3 pieces of advice from me:
1) Speed or Balanced dasp is preferable for it’s new stats/abilities.
It’s more of a hit and run dino with the amount of speed and stam it was given.
2) Traction is a detriment, even with the new speed and stam it has.
3) Tyrant’s Roar only works in groups, so you’ve been wasting a ton of stam activating an ability that doesn’t even work.
Don’t mean any attitude from this, just want to help.
Guessing for hides, you want thick scales since everything does raw damage, but not everything does bleed or venom?
Wait so dont use traction?

Honestly I felt that rex when they said it was a play fight. When my friends and I are bored we play fight almost to the death or to test each others skill. We've even go to the point where we say we are on one thing and not in the area when in truth we are on something else in the same area as them. Usually the play fights don't end in death but sometimes we miss calculate and end up dead. Its all in good fun though. And we've had people like you in that scenario who show up when we're fighting and try to help one of us against the other until we confuse them with chilling next to each other.

Updates (maybe?) incoming:
-AoE abilities eg. stomp/tail slam
-Bleed/Venom buff/damage rescaling (dinos with bleed/venom will have a better chance to defeat larger enemies)
-Some abilities and ability icons reworked
-Lamb and Conc new kick ability
-More dinos with the solo ability

My Dasp is a speed sub species defense hide traction legs and increased tern speed tail I mostly play solo I’ve killed an adult Rex and spino as this build. Ps don’t do the roar unless your in a group it doesn’t work solo anymore 👍

@@gz9649I've killed a bar in solo with this same build. Standard and heavy bite are more than enough, you don't need bone break against a solo, heavy and slow apex.

Hi, i just wanna say the "Traction" reduces stamina recovery is a debuff ;p
It literally says “Decreases stamina recovery by 30%”. You want to increase stamina recovery not make it slower lol
Decreases stamina recovery and increases turn rate, its definitely worth it.
@@D4r1n_04 Yes and that is how i understood it the first time but someone had told me in a comment that it was poorly written and that it could mean that the time it takes to recover stam is reduced, which would have made it a buff rather than a debuff so i put an end to this confusion and tested it in the video but it looks like many people have skipped the testing part because they all point it out as a debuff even though i've already established that in the video.

How does anyone misunderstand "decrease stam regen"
Also FYI in fights as any Dino you can crouch to limit the amount of bleed damage you take as well as get rid of it faster, kind of like sitting down but not as punishing if the opponent gets close lol

Yak now I felt the exact same as you at first, I thought dasp would be much worse with it new cooldowns, but with the damage increase and ability changes it actually really fun, I use bone snap now instead of crushing bit and it’s still really powerful, if not actually better because of the fact that bite for bite it does more damage now plus the diversity in ability possibilities allowing more creativity for dasp players lol

Another great vid. I love your 'juvi to adult' series, but having them set a month apart is no problem if you have a couple simpler vids a week to give us gameplay videos like this.

I like dasp, it’s a lil Rex, but you can actually run if you don’t want to fight
You don’t have to charge your stam full way, with each dino it depends on how fast it stands up and it wil stil fill up all the way ;)
Traction is absolutely a stamina nerf. On iggy it reduces stamina recovery rate from 1.2 down to 0.9. Your friend is wrong.

Tyrant roar only boosts group dasps no longer self boost also I don’t know if anybody notice but regular bite says 1 sec cool down but there’s a delay feels like 2 sec cool down

Yes all the cooldowns feel like they're at least 1 second longer than it's supposed to be.

I did the test in the video, the 30 % in this case is a debuff or "penalty".

I’m running bone break with the regular bite. I sacrificed my tail whip and I’m able to turn on pachys much easier and I’m the balanced dasp. Only lost a 1v1 against a Rex so far. Lack of experience for me but I’m gettin there! I’ll have to try you move list

Noticed you used Tyrant Roar quite a bit in your video ever since the Night Stalker update Tyrant Roar only works when you are in a group with another tyrannosaur if you notice you don't get the buff timer above your health bar like you normally would

I just can't get used to it without crushing bite, Dasp has always been an ambusher, not a hit and runner, and I've seen loads of people say the same thing, all it needed was a stam, health and combat weight buff, not new abilities
You still can ambush I'm running a speedy dasp with tough scales normal bite and bone break and using traction,tail attack
Traction is only negligible on dinos like the kentro that have large stam pool and can run far. On the dasp its bad and you dont really need it since the way youll fight with the dasp now doesnt require turning alot.
Turning can still be useful for baiting attacks or faking a miss but turning into your target at the last second.

Krawll, what do you think i should play, im tossing up between allo and dasp.
A lot of people would say Allo but for me it's Dasp all the way without a second thought.

Simply because i odn't have many good memories from my time on an Allo but i do have many good memories from my time on Dasp so that is the only reason lol.
Nice to know that a cera can’t fully bonebreak a dasp anymore it was kinda rediculous I mean I was bone breaking rexes with my cera back then. If I wrong feel free to let me know
The Cera doesn't have the bonebreak ability anymore.
It has a charged bite.
Traction slows stamina recovery by 30%. It takes 30% longer to regen
I like the Cerato update but being able to jump over a Dasp is silly
It was on higher ground than the dasp in that case as it was on a hill

Yeah, they did buff the amarg a bit. It's gone from 600 health to 800, which is the same as a rex roughly I think. I don't think they increased its combat weight though, so pretty sure the damage is the same.
Amarg is pretty tough to kill, honestly, especially if it is smart and doesn't try to spend the entire fight running away; until we get the capacity to move and stomp, you wanna keep still and precision turn at your opponent and bait them to rush in to land the stomp. If you land it once or twice, they're gonna wanna back off; a hundred damage with very low cool down is NOT something you wanna be taking to the head, and that's not even including the head multiplier.
Basically, midtier carns (Allo, Sucho, and Dasp included) really should mess with an Amarg unless they have numbers. Otherwise, even if you kill it, you'll be VERY easy to kill due to how loud Amargs are attracting near everything around and how much damage you soaked.

I noticed this now but I think you should use balanced tail instead of tail attack since tail attack only does knock back now and balanced would allow you to turn a lot better and be able to keep your teeth towards the enemy
Ok I’ve been playing for a while and this is actually not right anymore I’d say a defence with bonebreak,heavy bite, and tail attack cause it’ll allow you to just about 1v1 a rex
Yes also a lot of Dino’s have hide that prevents 40% knock back now so the tail skill kinda meh
@@Louvenoire05 not for knock back cause it’ll still do some dmg and if I you chip them with tail attack inbetween heavy bites you’ll have almost no dmg down time
yo just a heads up, that call you kept using ONLY works in groups now. the only thing it was doing for you in those fights was wasting stam unfortunately

I don't know if it's the same one.
In my mind the other Spino was with a Sucho so i just assumed it was a different one, plus even if it is the same one, the other spino didn't attack me, he only tried to block me from hurting his Sucho friend.🙂

Yeah i know but at the time i didn't know because i had always worked solo before the nighstalker update.
Where can i see the dino stats after the nightstalker update ?

I know there are people who make spreasheets of their stats but i never looked for them.
Also if you own a server you can use admin commands to see how much damage you deal and stuff and how much HP you have but i don't own a server either lol.
So it's better not to take traction? I'm trying out Dasp for the first time.
In the video i had it on and i kept it on and it's not so bad even with the 30% longer stamina recovery.
It's up to you if you wanna take it or not, i did good with the ability equipped and i'm sure i would've done about the same without it.

Yes it's annoying , all cooldowns are annoying but i'm pretty confident that their intention was to abolish face tanking.

@@Quigleybro I've never tried the other subspecies on Dasp so i can't really speak for the other subs but i really like defense.
I still felt like i had decent speed and i can certainly take a hit.
