Hi, the margins are reset daily. Based on your positions, the MTM obligation will either be blocked or reversed. MTM is collected only on losing positions and not on profitable ones. For your example, if the price goes down from ₹500 to ₹450 at the end of the day, you should have 50 rs on your account to fulfill MTM obligation in MTF position.

Till how many days can i carry this trade
Hopefully yes. Shares are in your demat and pledged to zerodha. So you are eligible for dividends
Hi, you can hold shares purchased using MTF as long as you want. support.zerodha.com/category/trading-and-markets/margins/margin-trading-facility/articles/margin-trading-facility-mtf-faqs
If i have 5 Lakhs cash in my account, and if an MTF trade is taken for 1 Lakh, i would still have 4L cash Capital in my account. Though Zerodha financed the remaining 4L in MTF, my account still has 4L Cash. will i still be charged interest for MTF, given that 4L cash is sitting idle in my account ?

1) Do we need to have certain amount of margin available for trading in our account, which would be automatically debited at the end of the day of the trade goes down from 500 buy price to 450 at the end of the day?
Yes I have similar questions.
Also isn't there a maintenance margin etc type of concept in leveraged positions?
How does this work
Hi, the margins are reset daily.
