- Several former students of a private Mississauga College reached out to Speakers Corner after their college program lost accreditation months before graduation.
Another scam💔💔💔💔💔, its a business, not an education
How would an ilterate like you know it?
If you think other community colleges aren't a "business" you're missing something. Major community colleges are partly funded by the government by the number of grads in any particular program. The more grads, the more money. Sounds like a business to me.
Yes, in Canada, these colleges are what we call “vocational schools” int he U.S. They are profit-driven, and many are fly by night. In the U.S., we have community colleges across the nation (that are publicly funded and run) providing vocational training, so the problem isn’t as pervasive.
Occasionally, though, private, for-profit vocational schools DO cause these devastating problems in the U.S., as well-like ASA College, NY Career Institute, etc.
The second I heard BizTech college I thought of two words.
Visa Factory
Yup
Yup
BizTech College, really? You didn’t think it was a scam “college” when you first heard of it? 😂😂😂
They not interested in getting education in the first place.
I’m studying sonography in Quebec and the program lasts 3 years. It seems unrealistic to me that you could work in this field with only 11 months of training.
This one is specifically for cardiac sonography
If you check certain boxes you can, same with Class 1 drivers licence.
It’s not. It’s a Visa factory
Why Canada ALLOW THOSE SCAMMER COLLAGE USING COLLAGE NAME TO SCAM.?
Canada has been off the rails for quite a while because of Trudeau and his sh*tty government, my dude. 😩
They are very effective and can generate a lot of new voters for NDP.
@@Hollyucinogen To be fair, this type of scams has been going on for decades. All politicians have been responsible and they have been turning a blind eye.
Just follow the money, and you got your answer
the program did want to pay in order to get accredited. In order to get accredited they would have had to improve their program, which would cost money.
how many uber eats drivers do we need?
Considering how lazy Canadians are, I think we need more of them
We need more Uber drivers than people like you.
5 million per year
What do u do for living?
@@dcdc8329Moan on social media apparently.
Can't Canadians just make their own coffee and pick up their take out? We'd easily get rid of 4 million 'workers'.
Or give the jobs to Canadian teens that need their first jobs.
We had enough people doing those jobs beforehand, now unemployment has skyrocketed
CLEARLY THEY CAN'T.
@@BrewsterPunkey-z8ewell they better start early.. at these house prices they can have their down payments ready just in time for retirement
Canadians DON'T WANT mass immigration; we never did! The government has spent decades badgering, guilting and brainwashing us about it. Who in their right mind replaces the founding stock of a nation????
Time to go home!
No. It is time to have a baby to make sure that in 9 months we have 7.5 million students.
@radioastronomy2001 💯💯😤😝😝😝😂😂😂☝🐖💨
We have called these " mall colleges" since i was in high school in the 1980s. Our high school teachers TOLD us the only thing to use these programs for were " certificates" like a microsoft application whenbwe were learning Word or Excel. Courses that ran a total of 12 hrs. Now in 2024 more of these non accredited schools grew, attracting foreign students, no accreditation.
That’s good to hear. I’ll use some of the profits I made pumping and dumping worthless meme coins 🪙 to open my own unaccredited college!
And as a way to say thanks, you’ll get to attend for free 😊
Can the knowledge gained be tested at another medical education institution and credited so these students can complete their post-secondary education ?
That’s hilarious. Private colleges are like scams.
So it means you only go to accredited true colleges like Sheridan, Fanshawe, Mohawk, Niagara and the list goes on
😂 so accredited
Pretty much plus if you graduate from public college you can transfer your credits anywhere not o mention they are a lot cheaper
Only Sheridan is legit
2:11 To be fair, the tuition was refunded, so not a total scam.
To whom?
Feds are handing out money for this and they leave with it.
They need to start checking refunds to make sure that money is going back to where it actually came from.
@@SnowmansLands Who said it was fed funded? My understanding from the woman was it was their own money. Most often unless you are attending one of the major colleges you can't get student loans.
What about time wasted?
East Indian being scammed by fellow East Indian.
🚩Okay so previous graduates are unqualified to be working in healthcare?🚩
Ridiculous that they do this during the semester IMO...
Surprised all of these in Scarborough aren't shutting down...
Welcome to scamcan
So what you're telling me is I should stop trusting people with diplomas in diagnostic cardiac sonography from Canada. Noted!
Pretty much any training in the past 25 years was poor.
Do it yourself heart surgery is safer than a so-called expert graduate from these diploma nills
That’s what you got out of it? Even if you were right, the cardiologist or other physician reviews the results. In other areas, it’s a radiologist doing the review. Many ECG operators now have a BSc too.
@@Sci-lives thanks tips 🙄
You get what you pay for in life , ppl always wanna take alternatives and then want you to feel sorry for them when it don’t work out
I don't think wanting an alternative per se is wrong. Let us be honest, we have all wanted and used alternatives in our lives, including yourself.
That face that the provincial government hasn't done anything to shut these called "colleges" blows my mind sounds like it was a diploma mill. The province needs to start stepping up and ensuring that these colleges are up to standard marketing to domestic students and meet the requirements of education of ontario and health canada ministry of colleges other wise people see this as a diploma mill l. The province needs to put a law to ban diploma mills schools and have an inspection if it's actually like a college or school
Don't be naïve. This is not about schools or diplomas. Nobody cares. It is about bringing people to Canada who will become citizens and vote. We have 5 million of them which is a major political power now.
How about ALL Universities and Colleges must provide student housing
@ USSR had this but it did not end well for them. Keep in mind that Canada is just a "starter country". Nobody is going to stay here to pay higher taxes and make less money. Why would you burden Canadian taxpayers so the USA can benefit from it.
The scam is finally over
No it is not. We have 5 million people who are not gong anywhere. Somebody has to pay them.
@@radioastronomy2001 Pay them what ?
They don't to school, they go to work 😂😂😂
PR scams much...
They didn’t bribe Accreditation Canada enough
🤣
Well thats the point, they pulled the accreditation before graduation as they didnt want students entering the pool that the regulator doesnt have any confidence that they have been trained to a sufficient standard to enter the work force.
I bet this was amongst the cheapest place to do this training, students should have stopped for a moment to ask why.
Tim Horton, MacDonalds warehouse worker college
Uber eats university 😂😂
Tim Hortons Technical Institute. Gooooo Hornets!!!😂😂😂
Title should have read:
Government doing its job, for once, and shutting down a visa factory. No deportations as of yet.
Ok they should go back. Who cares?
Looks like Canadian citizens have also been affected.
They will never go back
Literally no surprise. A "college" name like that should be a massive red flag; it screams fly-by-night. The "college" is in a building with no signage on the building, sharing a parking lot with a Pepsi bottling plant.
I wonder who the owners of the college were
That is a great question, but we'll never get an answer.
Harpal Dharna
Liberal insiders as always!
An Indian by the name Harpal Dharma. Indians always exaggerate and about anything
scammers
If you went to a place called Biz Tech college… I mean really?
I wouldn't want someone graduating from a school like that doing any medical procedures on me or my family. Sounds very sketchy.
ezy pathway to PR, come as student, work full time including your spouse dont attend college just pay fee get certificate apply and get PR
in some cases buy LMIA and get PR
Step 2: Bring rest of family, live in house with 20 "relatives".
Who would attend a college with that name tho….
BidNizzz Schoolz - is accepting new students, try that out too 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
really?! "Biz" tech lol
there needs to be some intermediary solution where accrdited schools can vouch for the accreditation of the impugned students after a 2-month assessment - it shouldn't be zero sum AC vs. unaccredited schools with noone looking out for the most impacted
‘AccrediTation’ NOT ‘AccrediDation’. Good Grief 🙄
This is your typical Canadian. Illiterate and Americanized
Another degree mill down
Only about 15,000 more to go. And 3/4 of them are in Ontario, particularly the Brampton area.
@@brandie-i8s That's Bramladesh to you.
@@tylerdurden8378 my bad bud, there’s so many third world countries forming in Canada these days it’s hard for me to keep track!
@ Yep, Bramladesh is now the third biggest city in Ontario purely due to the insane influx of these scammers over the last few years.
It is the Education business. This happens in several industries
When you try to take shortcuts in life......
Student said college or university obviously can’t read. Never take a course that says credited with conditions. I don’t wanna hear bitching when you should have known better, lol. Make sure it’s accredited before taking it not credited with conditions. Even our college/university students are getting dumber.
These schools should be closed, it is worthless. When i was 3 months pregnant, I went to get an ultrasound done, and they said that they couldn't see my babies. This ultrasound place was not affiliated with a hospital! I had to go to the hospital to confirm.
Dharna? Punjabi or Indian name.
Brown hunk huh? Are you Punjabi or Indian yourself ?
Ivy league of diploma mills
Its not a real college
But there’s so MANY of these colleges. Usually one or two on every block - above random laundry mats and check cashing places. Surely out of ALL of these you can find a good one to complete your educational needs!
Most of those don't even have classes, they're just visa and diploma scams.
My kid had to learn remotely. However, "students" have to learn in class in Canada. They can't learn remotely for some reason. This is what Gerasimov talked about in his doctrine. This is the prime example of how democracy can be weaponized against you.
What are you talking about lolol students in high school, College and University can take online courses.
@@BrewsterPunkey-z8e Why are there 5 million of them in Canada. Can't they learn remotely?
Students were refunded their tuition.
If it was federally funded is what I'd like to know.
They just said two months ago international students are fraudulently taking that money and leaving.
Sorry guys. Don't give up.
Good news for actual institutions of education, bad news for these diploma mills.
Feel bad for the students, but these diploma mills need to be shut down country wide.
The students are part of the scam.
If you are reading this comment Muhammad Tahir, then listen. You should have never gone to Biztech college, everyone knows it nothing more than a diploma mill.
And am sure you knew too.
Should have simply stayed back.
Pick a real post secondary school. No one is crying for you
What do you mean "It was all for nothing" .
In the end they got an "Education".
Education in being "scammed".
😄
Who knew that such a college was among the top tier schools in Canada ? Maybe because it isn’t ?
Also, pay very close attention to her own words , that she is unable to “ utilize “ her education , as though it is some how wasted. I think she confused the words “ utilized “ which she said and the word “monetized”. That she is unable to earn based on her qualification’s or lack there of.
It isn’t the first time such things have happened in this province. Hitting a dead end shouldn’t be even an option to consider. You gotta figure out a way.
A door closed, you have to look for another door that will open.
Reputation as it turns out, also matters when it comes to a good education.
Diploma Mill
Students before classes must to show English professiciancy with high score of passing exams such as TOEFL, and ESLE...not exceptions...College did not show standart for Canadian Education...😊😊
You fail at English proficiency .
we all know what this is all about
Back to France for Nicole.
Biztech - not heard of it
BizTech College, LOL
OxyMoron and there were a few of them who fell for that hook, this is not a collage, but the sucker got schooled...
