What is the lie in delayed commissioning? I lived abroad for over 35 years. Most of the time massive projects like this finished beyond schedule. In as much as the contractor hasn’t down tools, focus on the day when everyone will enjoy the infrastructure. Rather than negative comments.
Oga calm down. Everything no be fight. I only made an observation, haba! In Asia and western Europe contractors get heavily fined for missed delivery. So I nono which abroad una dey! 🙄
@@Attihamconceptsplus that plan was drawn by Awolowo, he did the same for Ibadan, Jakande and Tinubu also added to Baba Awo’s plan, the Governor advisory council in Lagos oversees everything the governor is doing, that’s why Ambode was rejected for second term, even Tinubu get who e dey listen to, people like Baba Olusi
People dey lie o! They said it will be commissioned in 2nd quarter of 2024!😅 Let's be totally honest, we will be lucky if it's 2026 at this rate. Beautiful project though👌
The delay is not funding but the contractor and most especially, this type of project takes time. The contractor did not consider the terain they are constructing on. The area is a mash area which has to be reclaim with proper planning and design, because if is not properly plan and design which takes time. The project will be poorly design and implemented. The area will always be flooded during raining season, and the flood will distrupt vehicular movement, the contractor need to consider this. Give them time to do proper work rather than forcing them to do poor job and take the blame lather. one thing about Lagos government, if you do poor job you will have to correct it latter which will afect your profit, why not do the better job that will take time and give you rest of mind as a contractor. this is a food for thought.
@@dadakayode5517 pricisely. Better late than never. This is a stunning project that will enhance Lagos tremendously. Let the government/contractors please give realistic time frames. It was obvious that 2024 was unrealistic. However I am looking forward to it's completion and also the phase 2 which will go on to link Ogudu, Gbagada and eventually 3rd axial road. God bless Lagos.
@ I hope it is at least built to Nigerian standards. The standard road lane in Nigeria is 9.8 ft - similar to the UK. The standard road lane on most US roads is 12 ft. The US size is more reasonable and can accommodate heavy duty vehicles with wide loads. From the footage, it appears the road doesn’t have a shoulder for emergencies or breakdowns - that is a design weakness if you ask me. Having said that, we thank the Lagos State Government for building the road and thanks for sharing the footage.
The contractor is Julius berger, the project is massive in design and implementation.due to the area of the project which is a mash area that always full with flood during raining season. That is the reason for all the chanell they are constructing. This also contributed to the delay in completing the project in time.
Thanks for this lovely video I love your lovely efforts
Thanks, you are welcome
Love this project...
It’s a very good initiative

Very true... What if it wasn't done at all?.... Very good effort from the state government..
@@tekade4691 Thanks 🙏
A lot of projects are going on all over the state at d same time, data y sometimes projects delay.
There's no Lagos governor who won't work according to Lagos master plan.
I guess that should be the case but some might decide to do what they like.

This JB are so slow, imagine them doing all project in Nigeria, Nigeria will never develop then
Hmmmn, everyone wish to be engaged as much as possible although it’s not at the expense of the people
Road looks narrow and doesn’t have a shoulder for emergencies or breakdowns

Are they constructing a canal, doesn't seem to be Julius Berger doing the job?
