Yeah, Sec 156 (3) cr p c is ok but if the police in the court says that they are conducting the enquiries and investigating the matter then the magistrate also considers their request and allows them some time. This actually takes the heat out of the matter and further more gives the accused/criminal to tamper with the evidence. I feel that there should be some strict guidelines in place for such things and our legislators/lawmakers should repair or amend the section.
