I wouldn't say there are many pro minecrafters playing this, there were maybe 3-5 really good minecraft players and the rest were decent as this was the 'underdogs' version of this tournament that excluded a lot of the best players
This team was insane to VOD review. They added fresh, new perspectives to the typical MCC streams we'd usually see of Minecrafters already knowing many of the game mechanics. The fact that this team almost won MCC 27 was nuts. Funny thing is, I had already watched that Fall Guys video and heard of 3/4 of the team prior to the tournament lol

I know this is like an old video, but I’m still amazed by how the fact that they’re not even a minecraft pro but plays this like its a daily thing. I think playing games like this is not how long you play it for and/or if your good at it or not. It’s just a battle of strategy and teamwork wether your good at the game or not. And they played both of that very impressive I could say so myself!
What's crazy is how both teams in dodgebolt were the teams predicted to do the worst; mostly due to Toast's team's inexperience with Minecraft, and the other with two new MCC players who were also the oldest competitors. Either way it was going to be an underdog victory.

I was part of the MCC community back then when this event went down. I personally was one of the people who said they were sure to get 10th. We knew these guys were gamers, and that they could pick this up pretty quickly. But this event and it’s roster were announced weeks beforehand, and all the other teams took the time to practice Minecraft and study the gamemodes. Some teams took it way more seriously than others and spent weeks practicing and VOD reviewing beforehand. But Toast’s team didn’t do any of that, and we noticed. As the event got closer and closer we were sure that they were going to go in completely blind. But then, the day before the event they got together and did a group cram session on stream, watching VODs, studying, and getting advice from Pro Minecraft streamers that had played in this before. After just that one session, many of us in the community were starting to change our minds after seeing the way they absorbed all that information dump and their natural gamer skill. Still though, we thought the knowledge and experience gap would just be too much, and even if many of us no longer thought they would get last, we still thought there was no way they had a chance of actually winning. We were glad to be wrong.
