First c5 is my favorite design, beautiful and so elegant from every angle. One of the most unique designs.

J'ai une C5 phase 1 de 2003 ( 2.0 hdi ) et j'aime tellement son confort incroyable ..
Finally got the styling right with the X7. Truly an elegant machine in both sedan and 'Tourer' configuration after the 'ugly duck' of the original 2001 version. And a superb car that has stood the test of time well.
proud owner of c5 2.0 -2008. i am thinking of changing it to c5x when it comes out.

Everything you wrote about the second generation was wrong. The 2.2HDi replaced the unreliable 2.7HDi. There were two minor updates, and not on 2012. In 2011 the car got LED headlights and in 2013 in got the softer chevron grill and the word "Citroen" on the boot moved from the left side to under the badge. In 2015 we got a revised 2.0HDi with 150 or 180hp and a much better power curve, so the 2.2HDi was cancelled.

My dad's C5 has the 2.7HDi, fortunately he had never had a problem in 12 years

My dad had a metallic silver 2006 C5 2.0 HDI Exclusive with hydractive suspension and unfortunately sold it because of a faulty turbo too expensive to repair which was a shame and now we have a 2015 metallic silver C5 1.6 e-HDI Business with the conventional suspension unfortunately.

At 3.33 the outer rear lights look like they’re saying “C8” !!!
It’d be good to have those on my brilliant C8, but they won’t fit ;)

c5 from 2001 to 2004 was the first generation then from 2004 to 2008 the second generation, from 2008 to 2017 was the third generation, then was c5 air cross the now the new c5 x
You are wrong. Second generation is from 2008.from 2004 is facelift of 1st generation. Like a VW passat b5 then was facelift b 5,5
