So glad to see you are back. I appreciate your videos a lot and because I learned so much from them that my build went very smoothly thank you again and looking forward to start watching your new build. Best of luck
Good to see you back and with another Promaster. The options are great, the rear view mirror is new to me and awesome, the bigger 10" screen. I like the paint and the cost of only $200. I have a similar 2021 2500 but not with those great new options. I remember reading many of those standard and options lists untill I found one with the best package for me. I had to have a tow hitch so that eliminated a lot of them. One thing I noticed while driving is you have to be careful lifting up a drink container directly below the shifter. I learned after knocking it out of drive once. Thanks for the good video, I look forward to following along with another build.
I was going thru the factory options last nite and had pretty much landed where you did…. I rented a WB Solis PM 159 this summer and it had many of the premium options…. Rear view digital mirror is a must…..
@@BuildingVanLife what's your take on the 2023 promasters with the super high roof option, all electric model? I was thinking about getting one and putting 1500watts of solar on the roof with 20kw of batteries with a split phase 240v inverter and never have to buy gas again. Can that be done you think?
@@swexplorer It looks cool. I don't think i would get the extra high roof model they are still making the standard high roof model and I can already easily stand up in that so i wouldnt want it to be any taller. As far as the electric goes, I'm not ready to pull the trigger on that. After a full build and putting all that extra weight in there I don't think the range would long enough. Especially if you are frequently taking long trips. They are probably 5-10 years before they make it make sense on a camper van. Not sure how you could fit that much solar on the roof either? I can only fit 400 watts with the two fans, if i got rid of those, maybe 600 watts but i wouldn't want to get rid of the fans. I'll be interested to see if you can do it though.
@@BuildingVanLife with the super high roof it only comes in the extended version. That's 160 inches, I can fit 3x 455watt solar panels on the roof with a max aire fan all the way upfront on the roof. I could also get 2x 10kw server rack batteries with a 240v split phase so I could have on board level 2 charging. Also the reason I want the super high roof, I want to put my bed in a rear loft so I can basically have a full walkout garage for my motorcycle. It can be done because there is a 2nd upper cross brace around 30in down from the super high roof version. I would have to use a thinner mattress, like 8in but it be worth it to gain an incredible amount of space by lofting my bed.
Totally amped for this build…… this is super timely…. Based on ur last series I decided to build out a PM and I’m shopping to place an order in the next week…. Expecting a long lead time…. How long did you wait to take delivery from order?
Ugh…. I was planning on 6…. Would love to have it to start the build in the spring (east coast) - but if it’s later I’ll deal…. Looking forward to you build!
Love all your build series and especially like that you respond to peoples comments. One question - why did you decide to go with the 159 vs the 159 extended ?
Thank you! For me it’s just the perfect size. I like the promaster over the mercedes bc it’s wider and you put the bed east west without having to use flare outs. Putting the bed that way gives so much more space inside that the extended isn’t necessary for me. I like this size you can still get in a parking space
Pumped to watch the Build!! I just started on a 2500 today!!!
I'm so glad you finally received your new van! I'm excited to see more of your videos.
Thank you!
Starting my conversion this week! Looking forward to this build!
Nice good luck
Congratulations! Looking forward to watching your new build. Thanks for all the great information you’ve provided with all your previous builds!
Thank you!

Thank you! I didn't mention it but the 2022 has a new different shifter too. Not sure if that changes what you're saying.

@@swexplorer sounds cool. Yeh i actually use a 6'' memory foam mattress in the van, it's plenty comfortable.
Nice, looks like my Silver Witch 2017 promaster

Nice man. They said it would be 6 months it turned out to be more like almost 10 months. Pretty frustrating but at least I have it now

Why did you get the 2500 vs 3500?
It’s less money and the only difference is the suspension. I’ve always had the 2500 and it worked out well
Wow she’s a beaut
you don't know how to park i can see lol...
