if you don't know this is actually safe. sysmain is a process that open files, so when you launch a application it'll make it faster but sometimes it will cause more harm than good so it's better turning it off, but if you have a beefy computer or more importantly an SSD and if windows is running on it than it's perfectly fine to not disable it. HDD will make a difference tho
@@monkeyking2030a ssd is a solid state drive and a hdd is a hard drive ssd are faster but more expensive and hard drives are slower but cheaper is a 1tb hard drive would maybe cost around the same of a 512 ssd
Yes, it will use less cpu and memory, but disabling this will make your PC startup time slower on an HDD, idk about SSD tho but im using an HDD and it slows down my startup time, for me personally I turn it on cuz it slows the sh#t out of my PC too
Brooo all the service host things use like 40% of my ram should i do this (my ram use is at 69% rn) haha nice but really tho and all i have open is task manager Edit:i just checked and i have only 7.7gb of ram maybe thats why😢😢
Sysmain is safe to disable. It just makes boot times a bit slower at the cost of using less system rescources. It used to be called prefetch in the older versions of windows.
No this app is use to open apps faster but instead this app uses more resources in your pc and there is no role of this service and i am using it over a year So turning it off won't effect your pc it will just make it faster

i did it on an ssd, and you are completely correct. it's safe to do

Even with ssd sysmain is lame
I did on ssd my game always crashes so i disabled it
Wow, my PC fly out of the window, need help? Lol
Please dont do this... your laptop will get too slow..
У меня нормально всë работает я бы даже сказал по быстрее
After doing this my PC eat more electricity
Worked for me! I gained at least 200FPS and the craziest part is it’s so fast I get kills before I pull the trigger! This is a must try! Please upvote
What is the default set of it, is it Automatic Or Automatic (Delayed Start)?
it's automatic
@@handigame14 Thank you so much!

DISABLING Sysmain on my Laptop speeds up the performance. And it also lowers Disk Usage on my Laptop.
@@Darth_Vader258 trust me, eventually it will slows your PC down. I tried it before
@@steld4695 Well I disabled Sysmain using CMD. And when Sysmain was enabled, it's always 100% Disk Usage.
Thanks bro, now i need my recovery drive to reinstall Windows on my laptop :))

Does it look like we care? No 😂
I turned it on and gta 5 got less laggy and lower memory stutters

NAH BRO DID YOU REALLY TRY IT WITH NO RESEARCH MAN WHAT THE HWLL U DOING
Its just common sense when u hear sys main anyone would fist check comments bro u got no ip💀
If you do this you will brick your pc I tried this in a VM and that VM did not start
i think you instead disabled "system" 💀
Only for HDD
I’d rather not…
It's superfetch on hdd and sysmain on ssd. Also it's prefetch folder make cache for system run faster. Don't turn it off
Thank youuuuu
😄
This really only applies if it is taking a lot of disk/cpu. If it doesn’t just don’t do this. It will make your computer slower!
argeed with that

@@Gesmickim pretty sure it was "superfetch"
Please note that while this may give you more performance, it may reduce the stability of your pc

its ok you can turn it off
it is safe. windows only renamed it to sysmain so it sounds important and you dont mess with the defaults

actually no. it take less cpu and ram but disable sysmain it will mess with memory compression. search a little further

It definitely works
ok ima test it in a vm
You will go far my friend
Just use linux
This man basically tells you. It's way superior. If you need to game for Windows games that don't work under the Wine compatibility layer, use a VM.
sysmain sounds like something important
It’s not important though
the guy who renamed it to sysmain: I AGREE
This is fake?
Yes Obviously
Well, it does increase your performance, but it may reduce the stability of your computer, so you can try it if you want I just leave it on
