Я 2009 года рождения. И у меня тоже такое же чувство. Меня тянет туда, в 20-ый век, в СССР. Но увы, мы можем идти только в будущее, правда не в светлое, а тёмное....

Оригинальная версия. В поздних вариантах вместо "не в райские края" - "в чудесные края", отчего весь смысл кардинально меняется.
In my personal opinion the original lyrics "not to heavenly lands" has to be seen in context of making the series "guest from the future". It was a movie series from the USSR. Regarding to my personal experience (I was born and raised in the GDR, but got a lot of friends in the USSR too) there was no belief in heavenly realms those times. But there was a strong belief, that we create the future by our own will and deeds (a wonderous and glourious future of course). So nobody should belief, that there is anybody (like god, king or luck), who will do this for us. That's why no heavenly lands were needed. But after the fall of the USSR and the Eastern Block, people started to belief, that there might be no such a wonderous future they hoped for, and only the heavenly lands of our past, our innocent childhood memories will remain. So the lyrics changed. That's my idea, and its a bitter one.
