How did you know where to put the DC current?
I solved my pb making a jump start charge of the S8 battery. Remove the battery (see change battery videos). Unpeal the thin flexible adhesive tape at the top of the batt. Mesure voltage at the two aluminium bands going from batt itself. I had 1.8V instead of around 3.8V. Charged 10min at 500mah in NIMH mode, then half an hour at 1.5A in li-ion mode. Remount phone: works.
Finally no it did not solved to manually charge battery. The charging IC might be NOK. Even with new battery, won't charge. As this phone is "dead" maybe I will try the video process.
Nooobody is going to take on this repair on their kitchen dining room table. Nooobody! Probably best left to professionals.

great video!! my S8+ if i let it discharge passed 0% it will not charge or boot. If I leave it dead for a few days and place it on the charger then it will charge and boot up fine. i downloaded a battery performance app and it says all good but this is false. any ideas brother or sister??

It seems the phone cannot charge that lead to won't turn on. You can connect your phone to DC power, if it boots up normally, your phone has the same faulty as the video demonstrates.

Hi I Wonder if my problem is the same. After turnong my s8+ off, It doesn't want to turn back on nor charge no matter what I try. I can only turn it on in Doanload mode (recovery mode or Android doesn't boot : if I presse power alone, the phone is unresponsive, it only respond to booting i to download mode (volume down + bigsby + power).

Hi Aaron, reballing is a really daily used repair, it fix a lot of issue when repair logic board. Yes, reballing sometimes fix the phone, because the chip is having a faulty soldered chip, so reball it and get it back to work.

@@cazman9467 open phone, remove board, remove shield, cut little bracket over chip off, if ur new too this, use tin foil to cover everything but the pmic, set hot air to 400 air flow to about 45% use an rma type flux, go around outside of chip, reflow chip, give it atiny jiggle to ensure u have infact melted all solder balls. this really isnt permanant, though ive done it about 20 times for friends whos phones are still going after years now. u can also repalce the pmic after its hot just remove it, i wouldnt do a reball as the chip is like 2 bucks and a nightmare to reball/ 2 dollars

its not about charging on my device but what happened was after a glitch my mobile restarted and froze on the samsung logo so i waited for 50 mins but still it didn't come to the home screen , i had to press volume down and power button to make it restart again but i didn't restart then i thought its something terrible and again waited for it to come back to normal but still after 30 mins it was still in froze state, so i googled and pressed volume down + power + volume up then it restarted and again froze this time my phone's back felt heated.. with scare i followed same 3 key combination to restart"volume down + power + volume up". this time phone got switch off and no response again.. later my fingers got numb pressing the buttons for 5 hours in intervels hoping something would turn on.. i tried to charge even though charging was not notified when connected charging cable on the switched off screen.. i tried all the combinations of buttons no use i think my phone died , is there any solution ??
Hi, Dinesh. According to your description, it is likely that some circuits on motherboard has been faulty, so it is useless to press the buttons. We have give all android phones not turning on issues fix ideas here:

It is caused by system update, so it is very likely it is the software faulty instead of hardware faulty, I suggest you should flash(run system re-installation) your phone.

@@josuecorona8292 lol classic insecurity. Name calling. I actually found a simpler fix for this on vacation swimming with my phone. Plug the power cord in. Perform a hard reset on the phone by pressing both buttons. It will restart normally and begin charging

This problem caused by the charging port which is 4 pounds from AliExpress you don't need to do this is very complicated the video is confusing the user I changed the charge port and the phone charging correctly this video is for technicians don't mess with ic and stuff 99% you gonna destroy a healthy motherboard he makes a kind of reflow on healthy motherboard the like this is gonna work for some months then is gonna cause bigger problems why tell me why dislike
We showed the removing of the wireless charging coil and the connection to DC power step, the phone booted up and the current was normal, which means its charging port is in well condition and the problem is in elsewhere
@@CINOTechnology anw i fix mine by change the charge port maybe yours having some more serious damage but the average user i dont beleive he can fix that you gonna need a lot of tools charge port is very easy to change and cost only 1 heatgun some guitar picks ans philips screwdriver and the port of course
