I remember when Electronic hit the scene when I was 15 years old. Hearing this songs brings me back to that magical time and this magical music. Other great singles are "Dissapointed" and "Get The Message." Great Great music and a big part of my 15th year of life! This is what I was listening to back then and it's still what I am listening to now; although, this is the first time I heard this song in 10-15 years or so and boi did it bring back the old feelings of being 15 years old. :)
This album is still on regular rotation on my playlist. I have seen New Order once and Johnny Marr once live and they both hit Electronic songs in their set list. I hope to catch Pet Shop Boys at some point as well.
This song is gorgeous. Those synths , guitars are Amazing. .. I remember buying this album on Tape ....I played it ....forever ...on my Aiwa surround sound Walkman ( it was Amazing that . Japanese built .) Anyway this song is beautiful. Thanks Bernard and johnny ....by the way johnny looked fine didn't he people lol ...
Electronic is definitely one of the best collaborations of two of the most iconic bands of all time - New Order and the Pet Shop Boys. I just wish they made more albums; their music is definitely timeless.
@vincenegra2612 You're right, Johnny Marr is from the smith's, not pet shop boys, my bad! Thanks for correcting me. They did however worked with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of the pet shop boys in some of their tracks.
Remember playing this tune for hours until I got sleep. Then I woke up in the middle of the night and my mother RIP had turned off the stereo and cover me in my bed. 😢😢 Electronic.
i never had much of a chance listening to my self or others... i heard them but i just never listened. even myself. damn adhd, or add or whatever they wanna call it. but now and then i come out like a beast and get things done. glad i got electronic in my memory bank.
Have you ever been a victim in a violent fight When you know it's not true and you know it's not right Got not one ounce, inch of control You got lust for blood runnin' in your soul You know if every person upon this earth Became the image of the mother in a violent birth We could sow the seed, toss up the sand And heal this brutal beat-up land If there's a place to be, why don't you come with me Listen to your father, listen to your brother Take every chance that comes, maybe you'll find someone We don't need to argue, we just need each other There's a mirror on the table, if you feel you could use it Don't be ashamed, go ahead just do it Protect your cranium, let it explode Put your faith in the mother lode Now if all this seems to be eccentric Be aware be sure I meant it The tunnel of love has got no end I'm well received, but I don't send If there's a place to be, why don't you come with me Listen to your father, listen to your brother Take every chance that comes, maybe you'll find someone We don't need to argue, we just need each other
I bought tickets to see them in concert in LA. Was bummed out they canceled because not enough tickets were sold. That would have been an amazing concert 😢

Used to love this whole album in the summer of 1991, a great track as an outro, happy times, simpler world.
I wish Electronic would form again, even for just 1 more albun🔥🔥🔥🔥
Excellent tune, 1991! Johnny Marr can certainly play guitar, and Barney is some rapper!

Michael Lubeck That makes me feel old. And I thought being 28 when they hit the scene was young. LOL
Guess yr 40 odd lol like me .😄
Electronic debut album was Amazing.
Think I was around 16/17, brings back memories also. The first album was excellent and the 'Disappointed' single with the PSB was amazing.

@@Darth_X0 thanks 👍
Aiwa was a Sony sub brand at the time. Like a budget/feature stripped brand but with the same quality parts. Odd situation.
1992..i bought the vinyl....still own the vinyl...
best track off that album ...just goodness!

Electronic.
Que buen tema. Tengo el cassette electronic, en serio, excelente. Atemporal, muy drogo los temas
I think this was their best song for me, one I only heard recently in 2020.
i never had much of a chance listening to my self or others... i heard them but i just never listened. even myself. damn adhd, or add or whatever they wanna call it. but now and then i come out like a beast and get things done. glad i got electronic in my memory bank.

Very happy monday esque
love this song
I bought this cassette in 12th grade. After seeing the video for "Get the Message," I just had to buy it.
great Song. .the Electronic. ...
I bought tickets to see them in concert in LA. Was bummed out they canceled because not enough tickets were sold. That would have been an amazing concert 😢
Wow. People have ZERO taste. I can't believe they couldn't sell enough tix. So damn sad.
Thank you so much love it

Wow the feels, are still here. Who played the Keys??
Bernard Sumner played the majority of keyboards on the first album, including this track.
sound and structure and genre of song reminds me" One Thing Leads To Another" by Pet Shop Boys
Do you mean by The Fixx??
@@loganflatt no, psb
@@dmiruzanov9917 Holy cow, I’d never even heard that PSB song before! But, you’re right - it does sound a lot like the Electronic song. 👍🏻
@@loganflatt I wouldn't mention this psb song, but half of psb collaborated in Electronics, so I guess they could

I REMEMBER THIS SONG
It amazes me that Electronic can be uttered in the same sentence with the depraved X-crememt Factor karaeoke show ...let's stop this NOW!
2021 anyone?? fine bit of house in there too....
Does anyone know where I can get this version of the song, like with the quiet staccato synth stuff in the verses...can't find it anywhere.
BUT MOST IMPORTANT...WHAT VERSION IS ACTUALLY THIS SONG ????????
yes.
Gemüse
a+

What has happened to this track? It differs from the original version on the debut album, which was much better.
This must be the dance mix, or something.
Yet another case of gilding the lily.
@katakisLives I'd forgotten I'd posted this comment. Who are "The Corporate Puppets" are they a new band? ;)
I'm not a big fan of Barney rapping, but the song is great nonetheless.
ElectronicFunkMusicQuality
load... load... load...!!!
allez l'om
@flintsteel That's the difference between real artists and corporate puppets.
Taquepilé
Raps better than John Barnes. 😂
You usually listen to the sound only. Not the lyrics.
mr tembo
10 people don't feel the beat.
"10 people don't feel the beat "...wtf does this mean?
Beastie Boys?
Album version is better
This is not a good song but I can feel my pores clearing listening to it and I love it but it sucks and I love it!
original version was much better... this one tries way too hard
Who cares?
I skip this and Get The Message....the album would be a 10 without these two songs
bad shit - get a job wankers
