Hi KFG, so here's a hypothetical about this infamous "dreison". You get on the subway to go get food, and while the NRQ line pulls up, the letters turn glowing red, you get on anyway. The subway jolts into motion, some oddball starts yelling Roald Dahl. After several minutes of irate passengers booing him the subway lets you out and it looks like 1972 Hong Kong. You suddenly notice a person yelling in confused terror, you run to the area to find Bruce Lee just kicking the daylights out of this person's car all hopping on it and breaking things. You go to speak to the victim to ask what's up and you notice his name-tag says "dreison". Do you; a) intervene to help this person from peril. b) join Bruce in destroying this dreison's car with your own wild variety of kicks and cantankery. c) do nothing but laugh out loud. d) sit in Bruce Lee's fantastic Red Barchetta or whatever that thing is, laugh during the dreison car escapade, then drive off yelling to Bruce that he should worry more about the papers than his fancy red rumbler.
@@TheKungFuGenius they didn't either when they went to land in NY and fund themselves in a time warp, every time you drive through a tunnel or get on a subway you teleport to like 1970. I'd be confused and not know what's going on either.

I think a good argument to the artist statement "they use those vertical fists and positions for ease of drawing/sculpting", never spent any time around fighters. The fighter modeling for the artist would insist on taking the positions they are most proud of and have great resistance to be positioned in a way drastically different than how they train to fight. So I believe the old artifacts from eras past really do reflect the fighting style and mechanisms they used.
Enjoyed! Your the Man! Nice work as always! Your first episode appears this coming Friday and Premieres at 8am. Hope you can join in for live chat on the premiere!

Hey Alex, Thank you for answering my question. I understand what you were saying about Tai Chi and Ba Gua having a narrow focus. There are far to many internal folks who think that push hands and rolling hands is the entire game. When we are doing rolling hands I always remind my students that it is a piece of the puzzle not the whole puzzle. When it comes time to spar, yes, we do spar quite a lot, I remind them they must now utilize the skills they have learned from the drills in a way that adapts to the situation at hand. I started in a hard external style, I understand the need for sparring which we do a lot of, I have settle on Ba Gua and Tai Chi because of their approach to the core concepts which you spoke of. But I still like to look at how other styles approach those core concepts even though I will always be a Ba Gua guy. Again thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Keep up the good work.
There are those ( RealFightBruceLee ,Beerly) who treats Bruce like a Demi-god or Not a martial artist but, an actor!! Whenever a guy called Bruce Lee out, Bruce answered the challenge. Bruce was a fighter, a warrior & a great martial perceptior who saw" his "problems in martial arts 🥋 without defeat!! That's GREAT martial perception
Maybe for the weapons, but I’ve seen the open hand stuff and this is encouraging hand chasing and nonsensical 4+ move combos. Great for Instagram, but not for a system with a core idea of 追形不追手 (chase the body, not the hands).
Anything that comes out of the mouth of a Bruce Lee skeptic is utterly worthless because they haven't put the time in to research the fighting background of the Little Dragon. A condensed narrative would involve the following... During his mid-late teen's, Bruce was trained by the legendary Wong Shun Leung; Lee was a feared street fighter in Hong Kong; he had a number of rooftop fights; Yip Man called Bruce "fighting crazy"; Lee won the 1958 Hong Kong high school boxing championship by defeating 3 time defending champion Gary Elms; Bruce moved to Seattle WA and began to recruit students (e.g., Jesse Glover, Ed Hart, Leroy Garcia, James DeMile) with fighting backgrounds; Lee had several no-holds barred fights in Seattle and all of them were witnessed by 1 or more of his students; Bruce had the famous fight with Wong Jack Man in Oakland; he trained 4 of the top point fighters (e.g., Louis Delgado, Chuck Norris, Joe Lewis, Mike Stone) in the United States; he regularly sparred with 2 of these point fighters (e.g., Delgado and Norris); Bruce introduced full contact body/sparring gear at the 1967 Long Beach Internationals; he was using that gear to spar all-out with his students a full year before the 1967 Internationals; and he got into not 1, but 2 no-holds barred fights on the set of Enter The Dragon. Bruce was not unbeatable, but he was a tough and highly skilled martial artist who probably had more real life combat experience than most of the point fighters of his era and most of the fighters competing in today's UFC/MMA matches. A top 60's point fighter stated that, "Nobody talked shit about Bruce when he was alive. The fighters who talk shit about Bruce now are the same guys who used to tip toe around Bruce at the big point tournaments."
"Dear Shun-Leung, Jan. 11, 1970 It has been a long time since I last wrote to you. How are you? Alan Shaw’s letter from Canada... ... As to martial arts, I still practice daily. I meet my students and friends twice a week. No matter they are western boxer, Taekwondo learner or wrestler, I will meet them as long as they are friendly and will not get angry. *Since I started to practice realistically in 1966* (Protectors, gloves, etc.), I feel that I had many prejudices before, and they are wrong. So I change the name of the gist of my study to Jeet-kune-do. Jeet-kune-do is only a name. The most important thing is to avoid having bias in the training. Of course, I run everyday, I practice my instruments (punch, kick, throw, etc.). I have to raise the basic conditions daily. Although the principle of boxing is important, practicality is even more important. I thank you and Master for teaching me the ways of Wing Chun in Hong Kong. Actually, I have to thank you for leading me to walk on a practical road. Especially in the States, there are western boxers, I often practice with them too. There are many so-called masters in Wing Chun here, I really hope that they will not be so arrogant as to fight with those western boxers. I may make a trip to Hong Kong. I hope that you will live in the same place. We are intimate friends, we need to meet more and chat about our past days. That will be a lot of fun? When you see Master Yip, please send my regard to him. Happiness"
"During his time living with Ip Man, Cheung introduced a then 15-year-old famous child actor, Bruce Lee" - William Cheung bio "The kick, especially to the Northern clans of Gung Fu, is a best means of attack; however, they too warn the danger of using them recklessly. It is a fact that the legs are much more powerful and have a longer reach than the hands, but we must consider also that when we lift one leg and kick, our whole balance is involved. "In training, kick as high as you can: but in combat, kick as fast as you can and don't pass over the belt." This is a saying I often teach to my students. In my school, our kicks seldom pass over the belt, and the so called high or flying kicks are never used. - *Chinese Gung Fu* page 28 by Bruce Lee published 1963 Born November 27th, 1940 - LaSalle Catholic prep high school 1954-1956 - St Francis Xavier's private prep high school 1957-1959 - Cha Cha lessons - Fencing lessons - Wing Chun 1956-1959 learning Sil Lum Tao and half of Chum Kiu. The Chinese Pacific Weekly January 28, 1965 The Overseas Chinese brother who fought with Bruce Lee is actually Gu Ruzhang’s lineage descendant. Wong Jack Man talks with this paper about his fight experience. Wong Jack Man, who lives and works in this city, admitted that he is the “Overseas Chinese Brother” that fought with Bruce Lee at an Oakland martial arts school, as formerly reported in this paper. He related that he is a lineage descendant of Gu Ruzhang, and that he studies Northern Shaolin. His report of that fight is almost completely different from the report that Bruce Lee told this paper. (This paper did not have a reporter at the site, and can only [write] based on their recollections.) Mutual Communication Wong Jack Man admits that he was not there when Bruce Lee was on stage “challenging the Overseas Chinese community”, but says several of his friends were eye witnesses, and all say that Lee did indeed invite the Chinese community to “come when they will to ‘research’”. Because of this, he wrote Lee a letter asking him whether he had indeed said this when on stage, and inviting him to come to his San Francisco training hall to talk. Lee replied that he would not come to San Francisco, but instead chose a set time and invited Wong to come to his school. Actually Not Six People Wong Jack Man says that he went with a Mr. Chen and another friend to Lee’s studio. At that time, there were three others who also went along, but they were coming out of curiosity - only there to see the hubbub-‐-‐ and had no connection to Wong. He says Lee’s studio was about 30 feet long and 20 feet wide, with few chairs or stools, like an empty store. After they walked in, Lee’s assistant instructor closed and locked the front door. At the beginning, Mr. Chen stepped forward and introduced them to each other, had them shake hands, and then explained that their intention in coming was to have a friendly visit. According to Wong, Lee made it clear that this was not an exercise in creating friendship, and that he “wanted an ending”. Wong took this to mean he wanted to find out who was the best. About 20 Minutes Wong Jack Man says that at about 6:05 Lee stood in the middle of the school and asked him to step forward. Wong says that, according to the rules of the martial arts world, he extended a hand of friendship, but Lee started attacking. According to Wong’s estimate, Lee punched at him about sixty times, using eye-‐poking techniques, and kicked at him about twenty-‐five times. He [Wong] also defended and counter-‐attacked (he will not say how many times he punched [at Lee]), and altogether the fight lasted until 6:25, using Mr. Chen’s introduction as the beginning. Wong says that neither man ever fell to the ground, but both participants swayed, and both “grazed” their opponent. Wong says that one time he used his left hand to entrap Lee’s neck, and both of Lee’s hands were down with his waist bent, but he did not use his right hand to deliver a serious injury. No Admission of Being Taken Down Wong Jack Man denies that Lee knocked him back until he was against the wall, or that he was taken down to the ground and forced to plead “mercy”, or that after being injured he didn’t return to work for three days. He says that in the future he will not argue his case again in this newspaper, and if he is forced again to fight, he will instead hold a public exhibition that people can see with their own eyes.
DW Forum - Lately I've heard things like "Bruce Lee could hit seven times in a second"...I personally believe it is crap. I mean how could anybody test speed of punches without todays fast-cameras and all that stuff?I'm told my wing chun instructor punches seven hits on a second (in the air of course).Have you heard of it? I guess it's a proof of a quickness....maybe Bruce talked about it? Joe Lewis - Please, drop all the stuff you've heard. Martial arts is full of nonsense. Only believe what you have seen or can prove. Show me more than three real punches in a second and I will kiss your butt. ON film, Ali's jab took 7 frames to complete, and Sugar Ray's took 9 frames. A second of film takes 24 frames. Simple math guys. Three real punches per second and that is it. Less talk and more proof. Let's get in the ring and show off some of these secrets. They pay millions of dollars. That beats eating rice all your life and teaching martial arts forever anytime? DW Forum - There is a fellow from India who always calls Bruce Lee Master Lee',and capitalizes any words referring to Him'.He has also put some rather unflattering remarks on his Indian fan club website about you by taking quotes of yours out of context and saying that you are essential insulting Master Lee'. Can you tell us how Bruce Lee would respond and treat somebody who would call him `Master Lee' outside a formal class setting? Did you or Chuck or Mike Stone ever have to call him sifu or such?Or did Lee tell you to call him by his name? Joe Lewis - Bruce Lee always called me "Joe," and I always called him, "Bruce." Bruce told me he was not a master but rather a student master. He called himself this because he felt he was always still learning. He joked about some who called him "sifu." As far as what some of these uninformed people from foreign websites say about me or Bruce, I wish they would exercise better judgment. DW Forum - You have said on numerous occassions that Bruce was not a fighter, but at the same time you say that Bruce was the first Ph.D in martial arts fighting? And you have also written about how when you first met Bruce you were really prejudice in those days, especially of little guys as fighters, what changed your mind? You also write that in those days you didn't care much for talkers, you say, "don't tell me how to fight if you never fought", you go on to say "I was a doer in those days, and I didn't care much for talkers. In other words, don't tell me how great you are, how great your style is, or weather your stuff works or not. Let's simply get in the ring and I'll find out within a matter of seconds". What was it that changed your mind and become one of Bruce's students? Why were your classes private, and were Chuck Norris, or Mike Stone taught privatly also? Lewis - Bruce told me he did not care about competing. He had no interest in it, and he said he felt there was nothing to gain by him doing so. Little guys, in my opinion, have always been the best trainers. This is because tactically very early in their careers they figure out how to conquer larger opponents. Mike Stone, who I respect, convinced me to study with Bruce. *Martial arts does not have a long history as does boxing* Bruce Lee was a wealth of knowledge. *No one knew what he had*. *Bruce Lee was proud to be the instructor of three world champions, Norris, Stone, and myself* With private lessons, he could customize each lesson to fit and compliment the attributes of the individual. I teach this way also.
Ya, your right about the animal style thing too . Ya, because we have a lot of hands from those sets .. Ginger fist ..the jarns, the palms, he's right we already have it . I use a lot of snake n fook sao in my stuff so I call it viper but viper is just a mode ..
Need to listen to this but the base of Wing Chun is derived from the Snake and Crane fist of traditional South Shaolin Kung Fu, which was essentially Hung Kuen. This is what Sifu Guy Lai and Sammo's team were showcasing in Warriors Two and Prodigal Son. In Prodigal Son specifically they were highlighting the transitory period from.the Shaolin roots to Wing Chun as is recognised in modern times Traditional Southern and Northern Shaolin Kung Fu should not be conflated with the nonsense that's spewed from "Shaolin" in recent years.
Ya, structure wise, we occupy center n they destroy and do athletic structure spending extra energy so ya, not the whole style but maybe a move or two . And injuries? Wrists definitely
I took Pak Mei for 4 years and it is similar to wing chun except the stance is a hybrid of a boxing stance and wing chun!! And it has pak Sao, lop Sao and tan Sao!!!

As to BL's ability, consider the range: Actor - Actor/Stuntman - Stuntman/Martial Artist - Pure Martial Artist - MA/Fighter - Pure Fighter. I think BL could be considered something between Pure MA and MA/Fighter.
I'd like to learn more about Wing Chun's history and philosophy. Which resources would you recommend and why? Wing Chun Kung Fu by Ip Chun was a decent start, but I'd like to go deeper. The More You Know 🌠
Blending animals with wc could be used if it's being understood as relative to distance from an offensive point of view. Wc- grappling/close range and maybe an animal- mid/long. Less of a melding of contradictory 'styles' which is incoherent and more of circumstantial adaptation. Or it could all be bs
Sifu Alex, exactly my point we are more connected than we humans can ever care to realize. There's so many similarities in different martial arts . Let's say Bruce Lee had lived and, for some reason, had a Jeet Kune Do school in New York. Would you pay to have him as your teacher and, secondly, would you set Wing Chun aside to focus more on JKD?
Hello KFG! We have all heard the story of an almost unbeatable, exceptional grandmaster. I was wondering if you've ever seen one in action? Or at the very least, a really awesome master, you were thinking about: "Wow! this one is really formidable!" Love your podcast!
KFG have you spoken on the podcast about Qi La La or have you heard about him. Really fascinating guy to watch. Would love to hear your thoughts on his Wing Chun and what you think makes him different in regards to other Wing Chun Sifus who have been embarrassed by Muay Thai/ Mma guys. A podcast with him would be a great listen!
Isn't Wing Chun is based on the encounter of a snake 🐍 & crane being viewed by Ng Mui in a forest? Even some of the ✋🤚fotms in Wimg Chun suggests that case
Is a system of fighting based on a fairy tale encounter between two animals? Wing Tsun, like most southern arts, has its roots in white crane, but this does not confirm legendary fights between avians and reptiles.

Die A violent death 💀? Sifu😄?? A story of martial arts goes as far back as African & Roman empires. An Indonesian , Malaysian or Handi monk showed the Chinese the value of meditation. Great podcast this wek. But personally I would've told 70's Bruce Lee to hit up his doctor on what pain killers to take with his meds. He most def wouldn't have died that day.
He was unbeatable because nobody bet him. But he didn’t fight everyone on the planet so of course we don’t know. But I feel that the most important teachings of martial arts is not ever brought up and that is the peace of mind, inner strength, the love for all life and all of the qualities that we need to posses in order to demonstrate in helping to create a better world. But the only question is always who can beat who. Who is king of the hill. Yes Bruce was the best fighter I have ever seen by far but he sure would have loved to ease his temper and not let things bother him like it did. And as he said that the most difficult thing in life is to be yourself. Bruce was a busy body with nonstop energy but were all different. You are being yourself better then anyone on this planet. You seem to have more peace of mind then Bruce had so it all depends on what yardstick we are using when we compare ourselves to others. Great job your doing.

Oh yeah!! Sifu Alex Wing Chun practitioners who call themselves trying to "re-create the wheel ". However , with a creative individual can find a cohesive blend on just about all martial arts 🥋 . It's the ever creative human being who's boundless without traditions! Liberated without Geographic values.
That’s a beautiful sentiment in theory, but when you look at how people actually mix things, they do it without rhyme or reason or purpose. Technique collecting is not development.
I would like to ask if in your opinion and in your experience, Bruce Lee had any weakness at some point in the battle. If anyone knew, maybe they could beat him. In other words, something that he was less effective. Was there such a thing?

I think a good argument to the artist statement "they use those vertical fists and positions for ease of drawing/sculpting", never spent any time around fighters. The fighter modeling for the artist would insist on taking the positions they are most proud of and have great resistance to be positioned in a way drastically different than how they train to fight. It's just started raining 😁
Thank you kindly!
I like your views on martial arts. This podcast is fun to listen to. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, that’s very kind!
California’s In and Out Burger reference from English-Dre! 🤙
I wouldn't say Beerdy treats Bruce like a demigod as much as I would say he makes up stories entirely for views.
How to deal with an enraged Bruce Lee? That's the neat part.....
You don't. XD
Rattan poles in the dummy is great they flex and move. If you put rattan poles in the dummy it works well for the knives and empty hand.
The fighters who talk shit about Bruce now are the same guys who used to tip toe around Bruce at the big point tournaments."
well put!
"Dear Shun-Leung, Jan. 11, 1970
It has been a long time since I last wrote to you. How are you? Alan Shaw’s letter from Canada...

As to martial arts, I still practice daily. I meet my students and friends twice a week. No matter they are western boxer, Taekwondo learner or wrestler, I will meet them as long as they are friendly and will not get angry.
*Since I started to practice realistically in 1966*
(Protectors, gloves, etc.), I feel that I had many prejudices before, and they are wrong.
Happiness"

"The kick, especially to the Northern clans of Gung Fu, is a best means of attack; however, they too warn the danger of using them recklessly.

The Overseas Chinese brother who fought with Bruce Lee is actually Gu Ruzhang’s lineage descendant.
(This paper did not have a reporter at the site, and can only [write] based on their recollections.)
Mutual Communication
Wong Jack Man admits that he was not there when Bruce Lee was on stage “challenging the Overseas Chinese community”, but says several of his friends were eye witnesses, and all say that Lee did indeed invite the Chinese community to “come when they will to ‘research’”. Because of this, he wrote Lee a letter asking him whether he had indeed said this when on stage, and inviting him to come to his San Francisco training hall to talk. Lee replied that he would not come to San Francisco, but instead chose a set time and invited Wong to come to his school.
Actually Not Six People
Wong Jack Man says that he went with a Mr.
About 20 Minutes
Wong Jack Man says that at about 6:05 Lee stood in the middle of the school and asked him to step forward.
No Admission of Being Taken Down
Wong Jack Man denies that Lee knocked him back until he was against the wall, or that he was taken down to the ground and forced to plead “mercy”, or that after being injured he didn’t return to work for three days.
I look at knots with ropes and I see alot similarities with locks, grabs and arm wraps in martial arts!!
Ya, your right about the animal style thing too . Ya, because we have a lot of hands from those sets .. Ginger fist ..the jarns, the palms, he's right we already have it . I use a lot of snake n fook sao in my stuff so I call it viper but viper is just a mode ..
Great episode !!
Thank you!
I love this LMAO/Educational
dope
Glad you like it! You’re part of it.
Nice shout out to Gary Lam.
In Prodigal Son specifically they were highlighting the transitory period from.the Shaolin roots to Wing Chun as is recognised in modern times
Traditional Southern and Northern Shaolin Kung Fu should not be conflated with the nonsense that's spewed from "Shaolin" in recent years.
Dam!! You read alot KFG!! About martial arts 🥋!!! Very good 👍!!!
Ya, structure wise, we occupy center n they destroy and do athletic structure spending extra energy so ya, not the whole style but maybe a move or two . And injuries? Wrists definitely
Saludos al Genio de Kungfu! Esta chingon el podcast amigo!
Haha thanks
I took Pak Mei for 4 years and it is similar to wing chun except the stance is a hybrid of a boxing stance and wing chun!! And it has pak Sao, lop Sao and tan Sao!!!
They are all Hakka in origin so it makes sense they share common techniques.
Sifu alex i missed the livestream but i heard wang lung wei mentioned. Hes my all time favorite shaw bros actor. Side short story an uncle of mine who competed in alot of karate tournaments in the 60s. He met chuck, bruce, jim kelly, bob wall etc. He said they were all gentlemen. Looking forward to the next episode.
No problem - oh and the episode isn't actually live, it's pre-recorded we just "premiere it" on Mondays so we can get together and chat when the premiere first goes on. We will eventually do proper live streams.

thank you!
One of the most fun and interesting of your podcasts! Thanks!
I appreciate your feedback!
I believe Ted Thomas did a radio broadcast interview with Lee in late 1971 after The Big Boss premiere. There are b&w photos from that event. Great podcast as always Alex. Thanks!
Thanks for the info
As to BL's ability, consider the range: Actor - Actor/Stuntman - Stuntman/Martial Artist - Pure Martial Artist - MA/Fighter - Pure Fighter. I think BL could be considered something between Pure MA and MA/Fighter.
Great comment
Looks like I have to find a job in Orlando 😎
I'd like to learn more about Wing Chun's history and philosophy. Which resources would you recommend and why? Wing Chun Kung Fu by Ip Chun was a decent start, but I'd like to go deeper. The More You Know 🌠
Great question.
If Bruce felt he wanted to" kill "the name Jeet Kune Do & I'm in his presents ,"Sifu " may I suggest" Man Can Do ". It's an American art & should have an American meaning
Hey Sifu Alex great episode ,I like the way you answered if Bruce Lee a real fighter. Sifu Adam chan said similar facts, his source was from Jesse Glover.. much respect..
Thank you very much!
It was a wonderful episode full of knowledge, stories and time travel of course! ☺️
Haha
Love the Bruce Lee time wrap scenarios. Keep it up 👍
Thank you!
Like bruce said, u have to honestly express yourself, not find a personality and duplicate it. Every human being is different, maybe similar in some ways but the individual is more important than any style. Killer podcast my friend keep up the great work 👍
You're wrong, Vic Moore calls himself a great grandmaster, which works great when getting the senior discount at the Golden Coralle, which also looks like where he's been hanging out

When the interview comes out and then hopefully you'll have a go at Vic Moore on podcast for a second time. 😅
Let's see what he has to say about Bruce and the time during the demonstration. That's if it's mention of course.
Keep it up with your podcasts!
Nugget of advice? I'd tell em to just do it every day and plan days off but you'll still end up studying or light trapping anyways . It's like, "Hunny come here real quick I'd like to try this trap combo" at supper you know!" Lol
The problem with old school martial artist is they try to establish their art is THEE art & trash 🗑 all others by showing how superior their art is
Thank you for your unbiased Bruce Lee content
Thank you, I try my best.
You covered 3 of our intended future questions in this episode. Awesome. The only question left this week, Are you vegan?
no, but my butcher is...
I'm in Boston n have nothing but time if you ever wanna meet n go over stuff.. 🤟
Time is something I have less of day by day! Envious of you.
Adding elements from the animal styles and other southern fists in general could benefit Wing Chun greatly. Maybe some of the Lin Gung from these styles could help prevent injury #ChiSauSurgery
Depends on the practitioner, but bolting on car parts doesn't necessarily make a car better.
@@TheKungFuGeniusAgreed. A tree shade mechanic might make the car worse. Then again, a qualified mechanic might also be able to help your car perform better off the line and down the stretch. Having a strategy and method to the madness are key.
Side question. What are your thoughts about WC practitioners combining different elements from different WC lineages to better suit the practitioner? Thank you for your time and content.
Competing truths go ..
Hi Alex I have an inguinal hernia just awaiting date for surgery will probably be next year. How long did you have to lay off training after you had them fixed. 6 weeks? Also did you have open or key hole and did you have the mesh ? Just wondering thanks . Love the shows 👍
I had the mesh and the recovery is very individual, both sides healed at a different rate. Best of luck to you!
@@TheKungFuGenius thanks
NO Chiansaws or Bellyslaps in WT? Damn!
Hahaha
Let's say Bruce Lee had lived and, for some reason, had a Jeet Kune Do school in New York. Would you pay to have him as your teacher and, secondly, would you set Wing Chun aside to focus more on JKD?
Great question!
Hello KFG! We have all heard the story of an almost unbeatable, exceptional grandmaster. I was wondering if you've ever seen one in action? Or at the very least, a really awesome master, you were thinking about: "Wow! this one is really formidable!" Love your podcast!
Thank you! In my opinion, Grandmaster Flash is pretty unbeatable.
I'm saying , we don't struggle in a wrist lock cuz we would already have a flying hammer on his Chin..
Unless you've already agreed to said wrist lock because the guy is responsible for getting you jobs.
@@TheKungFuGenius 💡right! Lol
Thanks for the suggestion.
Wing Chun is smart ..an old lady can clean your clock? Now that's a real martial art.. Madame wing Chun is soooooo serious
Great Episode, by the way the blue sneakers that Bruce Lee used in Longstreet. Hector has a replica them in his collection.
That’s right!
Rotator cuff huh.. bong sao injury
I live in north Florida
Congrats
Isn't Wing Chun is based on the encounter of a snake 🐍 & crane being viewed by Ng Mui in a forest? Even some of the ✋🤚fotms in Wimg Chun suggests that case
Is a system of fighting based on a fairy tale encounter between two animals? Wing Tsun, like most southern arts, has its roots in white crane, but this does not confirm legendary fights between avians and reptiles.
@@TheKungFuGenius So it's mythicalogicial theory based the encounters Ng Mui "saw" Between 2 animals battling each 4 survival? ( In The Wild it's kill or be killed or run to live another Day)
The number of Kung Fu styles attributed to watching animals fight is comical and suggests plagiarized fiction and not actual history.
@@TheKungFuGenius I got what you're saying Sifu. If Some Chinese Martial Arts are based on movements of animals , & it's effective we can choose to ignore the history or acknowledge their history.
All Chinese martial arts history is nonsense
That's a relief.. I've been really sticking up for you n backing you up cuz I think you want the best for everybody in the truth of light though that is . So hiding the Bruce lee thing? I couldn't have done that either. Also glad to hear the democratic freedom thing as far as guys expression coming out differently.. smart podcast
Vic Moore? Grandmaster? Lol
Die A violent death 💀? Sifu😄?? A story of martial arts goes as far back as African & Roman empires. An Indonesian , Malaysian or Handi monk showed the Chinese the value of meditation. Sitting on the ground started to bore his students, he came up with the concept of "meditation through motion " watching 4 animals Tiger 🐅 Snake 🐍 Leopard 🐆 & Crane 🦩. Dragon 🐉 came perhaps from the Mystikal inspiration! As I learned that's how Chinese martial arts became
The Bodhidarma story as the “start of Chinese martial arts” is not historically feasible nor does it make sense.
Great podcast this wek. But personally I would've told 70's Bruce Lee to hit up his doctor on what pain killers to take with his meds. He most def wouldn't have died that day.
Pain killers did not cause his seizures and edema.
Fact . Nobody is unbeatable.. Bruce was tough though . He could fight.. indestructible though? Ofcourse not .
Johnny legend
Ya, we get trolls constantly..even though I did mma and wrestled in high school ..jui jitsu early shoot fighting? Lol
Bui gee cheung choy jarn ja-jeung -chang-jeung goon gee Kune, CHUNE KUNE, pak sao lop sao tan sao bong sao huen sao tok sao fun sao FAK sao GWOH sao gor sao fook sao kao sao quan sao ping choy Jin choy gau choy .. all based out of a two hands in quan sao STRUCTURE..
Have you seen this Gabriel Varga video on a breakdown of Bruce's skills? ua-cam.com/video/m1j3jLmkk_c/v-deo.html
Haven’t made time yet
I would like to ask if in your opinion and in your experience, Bruce Lee had any weakness at some point in the battle. If anyone knew, maybe they could beat him. In other words, something that he was less effective. Was there such a thing?
Great question
