Special edition models are officially rolling off of the assembly line, as we recently took delivery of the 2023 Husqvarna FC450 Rockstar Edition. The popular model enters another year of production with some minor updates when compared to last year's bike, along with the Rockstar Edition bling. Swapmoto Live Test Rider Pat Foster and Donn Maeda spent a day on the white machine before giving us their first thoughts, check it out!
With its Japanese competitors offering actual porting and ecu changes to the motors along with changes in suspension, it’s hard to justify paying any more for the Austrian versions that are already expensive. Let’s think about this from a practical standpoint. Graphics, different suspension valving (which most riders end up re-valving anyway) a slip on and some split triple clamps. They can do better if the consumer is going to pay $14,000 out the door.
I just paid 10,850 OTD for mine, picking it up in 2 weeks, can’t wait.
@@kevinpilling3641 I also paid around 10k for a 2023 KTM (250XC) due to rebates since the 2024's are coming out. When the RE FC450 was first released, it retailed for $12,199 before tax/dealer fees etc so I would say you got a good deal. It's a great bike just wish they did more for the consumer, not just bolt-on PowerParts parts for these special editions.
@@reineherrera8897 for sure, but thinking about it, it comes with stuff that most people would buy anyway, and I know man dealers are crazy, I’ve seen the same bike going for 13k otd at my local dealers even after rebates, they want close to 14k without them, but I found this guy that sells them at really good prices, 24 sxf450’s are going for 10,750 or 10,850 otd too.
Totally agree and late to the party but picked up a 23 rockstar otd for 9,900 (I almost shit my pants lol)
rode one of these, and it was probably the most powerful 450 i’ve ever rode. Wish i had one, but im also happy with my 22 crf450r.

is the clutch cover the same on older bikes? has the hole for brake spring when it seems that it does not need one on the new bike
