I just tried to watch some other person explain this in 14 minutes. You got to the point within 1:20 seconds (he was still advertising his GIMP book for sale at that point). Thank you so much. Very simple to do.
@@ArisAriawan657 hey! I really do not recall who it was (it's been over a year), but let me say I have mastered outlining an image (and text) thanks to you. So very much appreciated. Cheers!
Dude, Thank you, all the other tutorials were being extra with all these other steps, and I was like cmon, there has to be an easier way lol. Just know even three years later, you helped someone. Left a like thanks again.
I've always manually made a white outline behind my image and was always wondering how people make it looks so perfect. With this video it took me not even 2 minutes! Thank you!
Thanks a lot for this! I did this for one of my thumbnails and the toturial was easy to follow, up to date, and straight to the point! Amazing keep it up!
If you are outlining text, I highly recommend you select "Sharpen" in the right click menu after using "Alpha To Selection" to make the border hug the text more uniformly. Great tutorial by the way!!!
Very well explained, but the outline I get is not sharp, it's kinda blended out (and even into the image, cutting a bit into it). Any ideas on how to change that?
thanks i was making a roblox tshirt of shadow tabby in a bag and when i pasted it background was black and outline of image was black so i erase it and i needed to make the outline and this worked you should be more popular for this
Quick question. How would I make the outline hollow, and able to be separate from the main image as well. i.e. Using Spongebob, the outline we had made that we grow. I would like the outline on my image hollow.
