I have some pieces, too. Your story about heirlooms being made for each child. I am relating to you through my husband's Baba. When we married, his cousins came to me with a wrapped gift. The most beautiful handmade table cloth. I think bobbin lace. They explained that my husband's Baba made one for each grandchild to be gifted at their marriage. They said they'd been waiting 25 yrs to give it to him on his wedding! I almost fell on the floor. My favorite wedding present! Shadow Box: You can do it, but as you said it won't be air tight. I was thinking shadow box the whole time you were showing us each piece. My only idea is to include a photo of your Nonna. Other Ideas: You can put them under glass on tables or serving trays. Smaller pieces can be set in acrylic for Christmas ornaments or paper weights or coasters. Okay... I'm done rambling. This vid got me so worked up. LOL Thank you for bringing back the memories. ❤
