This is beautiful. I've experienced similar. When my daughter broke up with her BF and moved out, she had nowhere to go but my home. Surprisingly, she brought his Husky, Maiya. When I asked her why, she said her BF was abusing her and could not stand to leave her behind. I hesitantly accepted Maiya as I already had two chow chows. It did not take long for us to bond. When my daughter eventually moved out, I said to her that Maiya is staying with me! I had only 2-1/2 years with her, as she eventually succumbed to bone cancer. But what a wonderful 2-1/2 years we had. Today, I only want Huskies and have / had three since.
