For me the plane that takes off and lands smoothly is more important when I chose to fly any airline. I can tell based on years of flying which pilots good and which are not. I miss the 747's. Their take off and landing hardly feel a thing.

How about doing true comparison. Yes, Quantas has a bigger fleet thus is likely to have more incidents/accidents than smaller airlines. It is nonsensical to compare aspects in the manner that you do.
True comparisons will compare popular flight destinations and compare airlines with length of time to reach, number of layovers, etc. and should not focus so much about what movies a person can stream midflight. A lot of flyers turn to their tablets if inflight offerings aren't up to par. So why not compare the ability to re-charge electronics or the wifi-capability of the aircraft?
