Dr.Bright is a perfect game protagonist for any SCP single player game xD
not necessarily the playable character, but definitely an eccentric support character if written properly! Oh and he'd need to 'die' at least 8-10 times during the course of the game's story
With his ability to replicate, he could even be a unit in real-time strategy :-P
Also, he could become a villain, that went mad because of his curse and needs to be contained.

“That’s it, you’re on keter duty” carries a slight amount of whiplash and I’m not sure why.
I wonder if Dr. Bright ever considered, or would be allowed, to take over the body of a D-Class and then once his mind bonds to that body be allowed to perform D-Class tasks. This way, you'd have a very intelligent researcher on the scene trying to figure out the SCP rather than some scared random individual whose only purpose is to take a snapshot before they die.

He certainly must have struggled with body dysphoria and other identity issues as well, right?? He would have to get used to a completely different body, with a different metabolism, different skin type, different hair type, different eyesight if he or the other guy wore glasses, new pains and aches he's not used to, and just in general feeling like he doesn't belong in his body (because he literally doesn't) I can't imagine that's a simple issue to get through psychologically, having a sense of unalignment to your own body

Ok, there is plenty of stories in the SCP mythos that would probably warrant this, but I would kind of love an entire show centered around the Bright family and it's various tragedies. I mean, five siblings, 2 of them SCP's, two of them decorated Foundation employess, and one of them a member of a group trying to bring the Foundation down. There is an entire gold mine of drama there
Almost all members of the Bright family have something to do with healing. Dr. Bright can't die. His brother can heal people. And his sister can heal herself
So if Dr. Bright is already practically immortal, does his book from Alexandria Eternal stay the same thickness or does it become a book with endless pages?

Without a doubt, Dr. Bright is one of the most overpowered beings in the entire SCP universe

@@pineappleproduction795 It is a curse, it does not seem like it at first glance but it is. Each day that passes by will matter less that the previous. Eventually years will feel like they are nothing to you and nothing makes you feel any emotion. Similar things repeat all your life until it all becomes meaningless, after all nothing is important anymore because there is nothing new in life, you will have done everything you can possibly imagine and will still live on. You will start going crazy just to satiate and give yourself tiniest amounts of emotion even if it means killing people. Eventually killing and destroying will also be meaningless and you will only wish for one thing - death yet it shall never come to you.
I feel like Dr. Bright will become classified as an SCP one day because he’ll lose his mind from all the years of outliving the council and his colleagues. With all that death taking a toll on his mind or learning something that’d send him over the edge is bound to make him insane at some point.

The whole idea behind "Things Dr Bright isn't allowed to do" is because he's essentially a mad scientist with a very good reason for going off the deep end. In some stories, he's portrayed as someone with a complete disregard for mortality to the point that he considers death the punchline to a joke. The idea of dying is just funny to him because he has to die once a month at least, it just routine for him.

It is even more depressing when you realize he has probably "died" and been brought back hundreds or possibly thousands of times. All because of an accident that gave him immorality he didn't even want.
When you think about it, it is no wonder why he is so crazy and takes so many risks, he is probably hopeing his next death will be his last.
I will say this: Bright's family may have had it rough , Be he is one of the few, uh, "Bright" Spots that Foundation has in their ranks. Insanity is just a consolation, but the side effect of duplicated consciousnesses is a very risky part. As mad as he is, he believes in the Foundation. That is dedication and ambition. If only hopeful

Does anyone else remember that really messed up story when Dr Bright and a team of agents got captured. Instead of killing them, the hostiles put the medallion of Dr Bright on all of the agents one by one and then killing Dr Bright in those bodies over and over again until he was mentally broken???
Some new things Dr Bright shouldn’t be allowed to do (That I think should be added):
- He should never let 079 attempt to terminate him.
- He should never challenge 096 to a fist fight.
- He should never be allowed to give D-9341 any form of weapon. Or any D-Class for that matter.
- He is not allowed to put SCP-963 onto SCP-966. Or any humanoid SCP.

so essentially hes a character within an epic sci-fi horror story, i feel like you could take any of the immortal, insanely powerful or downright mythic/highly advanced entities/characters and objects and practically make an epic book about it, and if you left out the scp foundation nobody would question it due to how insanely fantastical it is already even without the foundations involvement.

This guy was harder to beat them than all of 'em combined. We lost good men that day.
