I used to be self conscious about my new york accent (Brooklyn to be exact lol) but I'm slowly starting to accept it. It's not as thick as "dis guy" but some words come out so new york-y lmao. I can't help it. And no I'm not Italian. So many people think the new york accent is only an Italian descended one 🤦♂️
