Thank you so much! i had a bulging capacitor on my monitor, I had an old dell LCD monitor out in the garage that didnt work, so i took that one apart and found the same capacitor and swapped it out, works like new again!
I used this video to help me repair my Samsung SyncMaster 953BW, Very similar. I also had this same problem with my SyncMaster 204B. Crapy caps. Change any swollen caps and any others of the same brand. These caps are junk.

I replace 3 capacitors in the hot zone and the 3.3 volts out is only showing 0.5, the rest are 15 volts ad 3.3 volts perfectly. I have no video. Any ideas? thank you.

The repair guy titled the circuit and threw away the metal, the monitor still worked fine for a few days then went back to how it was and after I opened it and fixed the bent the monitor won't display anymore, it turns on but it doesn't display and I have no idea what to do, I used to hit it hard to force to display, now even that won't work.

There are High-Voltage Fluoroscent tubes in this model, not LEDs. First try bypassing the "protection circuit" (search on internet) If you cannot pinpoint the cause of flickering, just convert it to LED (unofficial kits are available)

You need to check if the lcd and the glass are not like a single combined module. If the problem is only in a few spots then it is better use it without tampering much as it can get worse. Namaskar: I went and opened the monitor. In my unit the lcd is separate from the glass. A polarizing film is there stuck to glass. This film has lots of mottling. Trying to find polarizing film or a surplus glass with good polarizer.
I believe that switch was not yours they're was nk inner peices that stand was made not from. Yoi that red color not yours it matched somehow but not with u that red see thru ring what a shot from the dark it did light up from the sun we knew Sam he always sung a victory tune of you
Where js our part of the deal it wouldn't work stand talk or the reason being the noise when turning it on to know when you was t taking something out and not putting it in from behind the church little white house

Sorry for the late reply. You can try repairing, and if that doesnt work for you then go for a new one.
