In this video I will be giving you step-by-step instructions on how I put up a new aquarium for my new yellow king kong caridina shrimp with a dwarf hairgrass carpet and some simple sponge filters. This type of tank is designed for high-end Caridina shrimps and includes some tips for a basic aquascape. Between the start and end you will see a 5 month transformation of the scape.

Just trying to get something posted every now and then so the channel doesn't die entirely haha
Once they Pennywort hits the surface it will take off. If you are patient and keep on top of it, you can get it to send runners under the substrate. Then difference in leaf size is amazing.
That's good to know! It's a tall tank so that'll be awhile here but it's also in a 20 long I set up so we'll see how it does long term
congratulations! youve almost hit 9k subs!
Thanks a ton! So close. Life's been super busy lately so I haven't been able to get anything done here unfortunately.

Thanks for checking it out and watching the entire thing!
It was beauty that killed the beast. Hahah love ur honesty on push notification bell shit
I have them disabled entirely so even if I hit the bell I won't get them. Such an annoying feature.
😮 it was beauty that killed the beast! Nice tank as always, but there are just so many more Caridinia shrimp that look so much better than the yellow King Kong... in my opinion that is. I was looking at some calceo shrimp , some Stardust and some dragonblood ones as well
I agree, there are nicer looking ones. However, availability was a big factor for me. I wanted to get a few kinds from one seller to save shipping costs. This summer I should be getting some prettier ones, hopefully.
Thanks for the tips...new sub
Welcome to the channel! Thanks so much for watching, hopefully you find some of my back catalog useful as well.
In your opinion, which shrimp are the best aquarium cleaners? & what do you think of skuds in the aquarium?
Probably Amano shrimp. The neos and caradina I keep don't really clean the tank at all tbh.
Scuds are harmless to shrimp but they eat the same things, so they can't limit your population size if they get out of hand.
@@BobMossNanoTankshow to reduce the scuds in a shrimp tank?
The plant you have doesn't look like brazilian pennywort (Hydrocotyle Leucocephala), it looks a lot more like hydrocotyle umbellata, which grows slower and creeps in the substrate rather than the water like leucocephala does
Possibly, I don't think either of us were sure and we're just going off what we've been told
@@BobMossNanoTanks yeah there are a bunch of hydrocotyle species that all look very similar
Hey Bob! Can I know what shelf units you're using? As well as how many gallon tanks they support on each shelf? I want to do a multi tank setup as well but I'm so afriad of shelves failing and tanks falling :O
Also, are u putting wood underneath or anything undernath them for extra suppoort?
They are amazon basics 5 shelves. They can technically support up to 30 gallons but 20 gallons is the safer option and still leaves you room for the 5 shelves. I have wood underneath the 20s but not under the 10s as they aren't quite heavy enough to cause any bowing issues.
MORE SPONGES TO THE GOD OF SPONGES!
What do you think, 2 more? Maybe 4? It has to be an even number at this point lol
@@BobMossNanoTanks Two Quadruples will make the god calm.
Be good and grow views!
