I was married to a (physically sexually financially emotionally) abusive “man” for 10 years. I’m still scarred. The worst part and something I’ll never forget is the time I instinctively flinched when my current fiancé went to hug me. His face broke my heart. Excuse my language but fuck my ex and people like him and thank God (or whichever entity that you, the reader of my comment, believe in) Christina and many others have found the strength to tell their story so publicly.
Side note: I still wonder what I did to make him treat me like he did.

Its as if you see far and you feel deep with every word she sang and spoke in that clip. I see reactors react and share opinions here sometimes to gain views or just to have something to post and the opinions they share doesnt tell me much about how what they saw have made a difference to their day or life even. I can relate to this song, when I hear this for the first time I cried in my room like a baby, I felt so connected to her and the song, because I went through this in a very difficult time with my mom. Thankfully I was strong enough to be the woman I am today, it was not easy at all , and sometimes you follow in patterns but with a strong mind set in to not repeating this situation you can get out of those types of situations.
I have anxiety & depression .. I tried commitng suicide several times.. Its hard, but it does make you stronger.

my mom was in a situation like that with her first husband. my older brother witnessed most of the abuse and threats. and my mom still tells me stories of all the shit that she's gone through. and it makes me feel much more closer to her and more open.
she told me that her husband would give her death threats, to the point where he actually held a knife to her throat. and my brother probably would've been 6 or 7 at the time. so i can imagine the kind of trauma he went through. and his dad is the reason why he's so fucked up now. he's the reason why my brother has so many problems.
and just to be clear this dude wasn't even my biological father. i didn't find out who my father was until second grade. so now looking in the past, thinking about all the times where he pretended to even love me, pretending to be the father that i needed.. freakin pisses me off.
my mom divorced him and beat his ass after that incident.
that's what happens when you get your ass beaten by a women who grew up with a family who fought hardcore.
my mother is a strong, independent woman.. always has been. she does what's best for us and herself.
i love my mom and my two eldest siblings who had to endure all the pain that was thrown at them.
