9:50 the recording that you talk about is jorge cardoso himself playing this piece. he adds those notes in the live performance.
Yes, Cardoso himself encourages focusing on the feelings and harmonies from the folklore, rather on playing the piece like a robot exactly as it is put on paper. Of course, first, we have to be able to reach all the basic notes. Cardoso himself (see UA-cam) has added complex bass notes, and tries to go by creativity and feeling rather than getting through the notes like a robot.

"The next section" at 5:54 of Your video You say: "I think the main thing here is to make sure that the rhythm is correct..." YES. EXACTLY, except that You play it completely WRONG! It suddenly becomes somekind of a tango or somethimg, but remember, this is a MILONGA! andt this schizophrenic acceleration is not only very annoying but complčetely ruin the performance!

Roubik Abnous thanks for letting me know. I have to sort that out for the next one. When I listen in FinalCut it sounds fine, I even maxed out the gain for this one just in case... will research.

It is just the guitar's voice that seems to overpower the human voice when played simultaneously. With no guitar I hear you quite clearly. I appreciate your info on "tonal variations"....something for me to work at more often. :)
