One time I saw my brother hop onto somebody’s Minecraft world on console and he saw or told me he saw some glitched out blocks and freaked out and left, I thought it was just some old dream that I had a long time ago didn’t know these blocks were actually real
I remember that you could "pick block" those blocks and replicate them endlessly on creative. Some people had jailbroken friends that'd join their world and spawn invisible blocks and other things so that it could be duped wherever wanted. ...Not including what kind of skins they'd wear. Weird ass skins, and even some that are a repeated image stretched as far as the render engine could go.
u can get a few of them when u updat your xbox 360 world to bedrock. As well as keep your modified superflat worlds like one I made of entirely green and pink terracota like a watermellon
Frosted ice was also obtainable via pick block in TU53 but they remvoved this in TU54. However in TU54 they added the ability to get farmland via pick block like on Java in 1.11. For some reason they removed the ability to obtain farmland via pick block a few updates later.
@@Aluminum.K My intent wasn't to answer the question. It was simply to provide a possible explanation as for why it happens that way. This was during a period where 4J found themselves simply trying to catch up to Java Edition, so they were throwing out features and practically porting the game as 1 to 1 as possible.
Ah. Console edition. It's such a shame that you got replaced by a laggy, predatory, disappointment. Some day I'll screw around with the old Xbox360 and sever connections so I can pop the old disc in and actually access your spotless, creative halls.
For one update, placing a ladder directly on top of tall grass created a barrier block. Edit: I also discovered this accidentally, and when the big console minecraft youtubers started showing it off at the time only months after, I felt cheated.
In later versions of the game on PS4, the pickblocking with a skull glitch still works, if you put one of the glitched skulls on it turns your head invisible. You also forgot to mention being able to pickblock waterlogged blocks and breaking them to get the water block.
Neat video! As someone part of the legacy r&d scene, I really appreciate a well researched video that is NOT filled with misinformation about legacy console for once. A couple of things I'd like to add though! The "grass" texture on the transmutated block is one of the crop stage 1 textures (probably wheat) but it can be any of them. And just to add to the fun, some obtainable items via inventory editing. Command Blocks (repeating, impulse, and chain respectively), minecart with command block (but only spawns a normal minecart), barriers, the dragon fireball (firecharge with a damage ID of 1), and the mysterious "debug_fourj_item" (which has a barrier texture and has all functionality stripped from final release). This is actually what the barrier item is pointing to on items.png. Great video. (:
Also, and this is odd, the lit redstone comparator is completely unobtainable in the final update. Powering a redstone comparator does not display the correct texture for the block itself.
I remember hearing that the command blocks actually had proper textures for at least some texture packs e.g. plastic and candy, is this true? always found it odd that unused blocks would still get diligently retextured for every pack
5:13 I remember in an official Minecraft map on bedrock edition you can find an old village structure but all the half stone slabs are quartz slabs (this map also released after the village update)
Back in these versions, there was a kind of "damage value" system that got around numerical item values. If a block has a different value, it cant stack despite being functionally identical.
Omg I remember the glitch with the portals! I had an Xbox 360, and still do. It never updated past the fish update. I remember a lot of these updates, actually. Especially the glitched stone slabs, I always wanted those slabs!

The metallic looking block is probably the texture for the enchantment glint. I’ve done texture packs before and the enchantment glint texture is grey, which might explain it.

With pick block, if you place seagrass in water and then use pick block as soon as you break it, you get a water block. This can be used to place water in the nether, which actually has a unique color
There was also a golden music disc. I don't mean 13. I mean it was fully golden. I very vividly remember getting it when my friend and I loaded a world on xbox 360. We spawned on a beach which was attached to open ocean and was under a cliff face and there was a cave right where th cliff's corner was. He walked in because we heard SO MANY zombies. After killing all the zombies and breaking the spawner he got it from the dungeon chest. I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIND PROOF OF THIS ANYWHERE. He said it disappeared when the game got updated too.

I remember there being a glitch with skulls that could make you appear headless. I can't remember the exact setup, but you had to make like a ghost sword and then pick up any block that CAN break blocks in creative (like a pickaxe), such that it overwrites the ghost sword. You then have to break a skull and on top of where it was you place a sign and then pick block the skull, it will give you thousands of glitched skulls and, if you wear one, you will be headless. The thing with the glitched item (the sword-pickaxe hybrid) is that with the same method you can essentially combine any 2 items. For example you can combine a fishing rod and an ender pearl and, since fishing rods don't have cooldown, you can use the ender pearl as soon as you want. The sword-pickaxe hybrid also has some very interesting properties. Since in creative swords can't break blocks but pickaxes can, you can break any block and if you exit and join the world every block that you broke with the glitched pickaxe will reappear. Also, when you break blocks with it, the game will still "think" the block is still there (its why all blocks reappear when you relog) and if you break a stone block and place any other block where the stone block used to be, the block will get instantly replaced by the stone block. Any items "linked" to a block (like ladders, nether portal frames, vines) won't break if you break the blocks they are linked to with the glitched pickaxe. Be careful though, if you at any moment change the block you have selected or open your inventory, the glitched pickaxe (or any other item hybrids you made) will stop working as expected and instead work like a normal pickaxe.
5:59 it might've been named that because it was probably going to be a replacement for when there was only Oak but just never came to be, even after it seems they updated it after more wood was adding afterward.
You can actually obtain petrified slabs in the Xbox one edition via the the first tutorial world for the Xbox one edition. This contains petrified oak slabs in some builds of tutorial world.

That bit at the end about "book banning" is interesting to me, I was on Twitter not to long ago when I found someone that made a redstone contraption that would crash the game consistently. Since I can't send videos, basically all you do is place a door, then place a stone block one block above and to the left of the door, a button to activate the door, SPECIFICALLY on the ceiling apparently, then place a piston facing both the door and button. Once you press the button the game crashes instantly. Though sometimes you'll get a couple frames out before it crashes.
Im surprised you didn't mention the water block, which you get by water logging oak leaves, and continuously breaking and picking blocking at the same time (and replacing it if it doesn't work, obviously)

What about command blocks I had a world in my 360 with command blocks (no they didn’t work) In fact I may still have the world It also had potions of resistance and other fun stuff
the creative mode torch is actually something that persisted on bedrock edition. they can be grouped together, but it's a noticeable issue in MC education crafting recipes. i'm still 90% sure it's related to charcoal/coal shenanigans. p.s.: the xray block is stage 1 wheat seeds, the metallic block is enchanted item glow, and the Weird leaves are all the leaf textures before the green coloring applied, because the green color depends on biome (I think so, at least)
I remember joining someone's server in xbox 360 minecraft and seeing loads of pig spawners and portal blocks placed everywhere, not sure if they would fall into the essence of this video since they were most likely modded in but I am curious how they did it back in the day.
You could also get barrier blocks in one the Tutorial Worlds. Thy were placed in a cave to stop Lava from flowing. But they later Updated the Tutorial map and removed the barrier blocks. But if you had them in your inventory you can still use them today. And by modding it was possible to get everything xD. I mean thats obvios. I had a World with Mini Armorstands and Stuff like this.

I had a world in my 360 with command blocks (no they didn’t work)
In fact I may still have the world
It also had potions of resistance and other fun stuff
Fun fact: you can get a skull that when you wear it your head dissappears
I really love your classic tv!
Man this is fascinating. Im definitely going to try out the glitched chest on my xbox 360 sometime
the creative mode torch is actually something that persisted on bedrock edition. they can be grouped together, but it's a noticeable issue in MC education crafting recipes. i'm still 90% sure it's related to charcoal/coal shenanigans.
p.s.: the xray block is stage 1 wheat seeds, the metallic block is enchanted item glow, and the Weird leaves are all the leaf textures before the green coloring applied, because the green color depends on biome (I think so, at least)
You could get barrier blocks from the tutorial worlds by pick blocking them
Reminds me of SwimmingBird's minecraft zoo with the piston head blocks
What a hit of nostalgia.
real ones remember the golden apple found on gargamel seed before it was possible
Underrated channel.

One time a long time ago my brother and I were watching our friend play on pocket edition. He was in creative flying through a snowy biome i think. Then we found a like, slanted rectangle thing leaning against a tree. It had a purple and black gradient i believe. This was before add-ons too, so i dont know what this was. If anyone has questions or answers lemme know

I believe you could get frosted ice in survival using a Silk Touch pick
