Alan's country music is different than you will hear on today's "country" radio stations. They won't play traditional country music. He has a beautiful new album out! You can find a lot of the songs on UA-cam.
Alan is one of my favorites. Country Music is known as 3 chords and the Truth. I was born Country and will die Country. Alan is a living legend IMO.
When I was 19 I thought I knew everything.. No one could tell me anything. Now I'm 60 and writing the last chapter of my story I've come to the conclusion I don't know shit. things I thought were important mean nothing at this point. Alan Jackson did an entire album of old gospel hymns for his mother as a birthday present to her. It's called precious memories. The very last song to that album, we played at my dad's funeral , its called "I want to stroll over heaven with you" he did it so well. If you guys like Alan alot. My grandmother passed away 6 years ago from Alzheimer’s. Even when she had days where she couldn’t put together a coherent sentence, we could put on that Gospel cd and she would sing with it word for word. Such a beautiful memories. Music is the pathway to the soul. ❤

I hope you get to meet Alan Jackson or get a chance to go to his show. The older I get the more the more I love being in love with my wife. I'm 62 ,my wife is 65, we've been married 26 years and I can say I love her more everyday. Seeing smile fills my heart up with joy and hippieness. I could fill up the entire comment section about how I feel about her but I think you get the picture.

Married 2 his high school sweet heart:) every time i have seen him in person i am moved & brought 2 tears at how amazing he can sing & hit home! Luv luv luv luv him! Hes "right on the money" a song he sings about his girl & upbeat;) even though he is right on the money;)

He just has that special something when he sings his voice, the lyrics, the way he delivers the song just all come together so perfectly it always hits me right in the feels so I totally get it girl. He always reminds me of my family members so I've nicknamed him Uncle Alan 😂. Saw him in concert and he's amazing! You need to check out Randy Travis though. He is another artist that has that special something. Try the songs "I told you so", " Three wooden crosses", and "Forever and ever Amen" just to start 😊

Such a wonderful reaction to such a great, inspirational song from the one and only AJ! You struck a chord with me Half when you mentioned Survivor's Guilt - I had a sister that was two and a half years younger than I am pass away from Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 34 (January 2009). She was diagnosed with the disease at the age of 5 when she was hospitalized for pneumonia while we were living in Hawaii (Dad was stationed there in the Army), and the average life span for a CF patient back then was only 13! Thankfully, the treatments and medications improved over the years so when she died the average was up to 31. She received a double lung transplant at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC which allowed her to be with us for five more years...God knows we still miss her each and every day!!! Peace & Love, Y'all.

So Alan played live from his new album at the time and out of nowhere he played the song Choices for George and walked off stage. I think it was a 1997 award show. I’m commenting on this a year after y’all put out this reaction, so the likelihood of y’all seeing my comment is slim I know. I wanted to say that within 20 seconds you can see Jai almost fall to pieces when the song gets to the part about praying. That reaction is more than just country music touching your soul. It’s a gratefulness that there is a God above that loves us and watches over us even though we don’t deserve His love and mercy. It’s a conviction that we haven’t honored Him with our life the way we should and then you get that slap in the face and then we feel His presence.
