I can't help but laugh every single time I see baby Yoda leap. I know it's sometimes practical effects but damn when he jumps he looks like he's been thrown by a pissed crew member.
Something that always bothers me about this show is how the practical effects don't really work for Grogu. He seems weightless and whenever anyone picks him up or holds him it's like they are picking up a styrofoam model with no real weight. His movement for walking is robotic and there seems to be no real physics applied to him when he leaps or lands. The more Grogu is used, the less he seems like a character and more like a piece of scenery the crew is tossing around for laughs.
Disney Star Wars props seem weightless - a lot of the time because they’re cheap, vac-formed plastic shells when ILM and Lucasfilm used to build props out of real world objectS. Look at Chewie’s bowcaster in Ep7, which even Han can lift with ease, and it shows (after bowcasters were specifically described as too heavy for humans to wield) and that big, ugly blaster Finn get in the same movie, with the glowing blue barrel. Without Roger Christian, Star Wars looks rubbery and hollow.
It's because they don't love the show\\concept enough to put the effort into making the thing not trigger your suspension of disbelief. The could easily put that little bit of effort in, but don't want to. And just as with Mark Hamal they likely are getting the actors feedback, and saying "Look, if we wanted your input, we'd have written it into your script!" The result is the Actors just doing what it takes to keep a paying job because those that had a mind of their own, are no longer on set like Gina Carano. I'm not excusing anything but saying it's very likely the tyranny of the company and writers is likely why it isn't better. I mean if the main character is being side-kicked for the female plot element of a past episode and the rules of the Blade are only the Way whenever it can be a plot device, then that's out of the Actors hands, and a paying role over the moral or principled objection by not taking the role only leads to someone else doing it for ill or for better. And turning down a role is likely bad for their business n'kay, even it it means being so woke you look like fools - it's just a character right? The fans care and the woke fans have no taste but see their talking points put before them and think they're winning and show up so the beast is still fed. It's not as glorious as it could be if they stopped catering to the BS and just made the show without the politics because the fans would have seen them through any woke backlash - fact too many companies aren't realizing. However when you have made the mistake of adding the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to your company, the CEO's and such have put a writ out on themselves in the effort to be woke, that they can't seem to figure out how to undo - signed their soul away so to speak. They should just go down with the ship and disband the department and stepdown, but it likely is considered career su1c1de and they won't brave the attempt and see where the chips fall. HW is too "progressive" to allow heresy to go unpunished, and the people don't rely on their fans to support them likely they should and make that plunge. Only the biggest stars can do that - but they don't realize that death of their industry - fan fiction and films are done better that what HW is producing and the only repost is to send cease and desist demands to them for making better product as "unauthorized." And the Star Wars universe before and after Disney is a perfect case in point. Anyone seen Star Wars Theory's fan film, FXitInPost's SC38 Reimagined or Darth Maul Apprentice? Any one of these and there are likely many more put the Studio made stuff to shame on budgets that are probably too small to show up on Imperial scanners and rock the screen harder both in terms of trueness to the spirit and origin lore, and second story content and production. Hell even the HR representative if a flipping awesome character that could should have been brought in for a "guest" appearance she's that good and it would tie back into the fandom in a whole new PR way. But no, instead we get pissed on and told it's raining and that we should have brought appropriate gear if we don't like the shows content, direction, etc. They could have fixed this long ago as the show started strong, but they let the taint in and Cara's fight was the taint making it's push for dominance which clearly won. All bastions without wokeness are being systematically consumed and destroyed by the caretakers of the IP and no one truly fights back. It's Luke's line about the Empire when Ben wanted a ride to Mos Eisley and he was trying to refuse - he was copping out until he had no where else to go because he became a surviving victim of the Empire - that's what this is. It looks like only when the executive decision is made to flip canon back to what it was before the purchase of the IP and they start making content based on the origin lore and rid themselves of the Diversity BS and get down to some real Sci-Fi work will the natural order of the universe be restored. But I ain't one to gossip... .

This is a good point that many small details are taken care of like a B2 being destroyed easily by being shot in the back as that is where their vents are and a weak point. YET the actual plot and story still sucks nuts despite having oddly caring minor details like that

Not really, just they didn't have enough character models and reused 1-2 for those who removed their helmets. In comics, Rebels, EU and season 7 they are quite diverse.

I loved bo katan more as a corpse when Jack Bauer put the bitch down in 24 Season 8.
yes it is very unfortunate. s3 arc Mando & grogru traveling the galaxy in search of mandalorians & unconventional allies alike for the eventual retaking of mandalore. so much potential for character development wasted
