The Endless Adventure guys I know I keep bugging you to come to Leicester but you’ve got to, my friend has a double-decker bus that he converted into an awesome cafe. His name is Joe, the cafe is “the mashTun” look it up on Facebook. Hope to see you soon, keep up the great vids! 😃
Just looked it up... so cool! We won't get to Leicester this time around but we'll have to visit next time :D
snentz yeah we’re north Leics so Notts isn’t far, sounds like we’re planning the next adventure for them 😂
Hey guys, you really missed a trick when you visited Brum . You should have visited the Black Country only a few miles from Birmingham www.bclm.co.uk/visiting/surrounding-area/460.htm for a real Spit and sawdust pub you should try here and check out the crazy menu, www.madorourkes.com/history.html or the local connection to the Titanic, www.nationalgeographic.com.au/engineering/forging-the-anchor.aspx or the glass blowing historic town of Stourbridge, www.stourbridge.com/stourbridge_glass.htm
And this isn't to far away either www.svr.co.uk/Default.aspx
I attended the university of Birmingham and I miss Brum! It's been 4 years since I've been there. I miss the Christmas market...awww. This video is nostalgic for me
+SisiYemmieTV so glad you enjoyed it! 😊
I was at the Uni too! Although i graduated in 2007, so the nostalgia from this was really great! Love Brum
SisiYemmieTV Yeh the German market is cool I live 30 miles outside of Brum we go every year.
I live there
I appreciate you pronouncing Birmingham the correct way. #rolltide!
As a USAer, and watching many of their videos, these two do try to pronounce correctly!..and they really try to use British terms when in the U.K. Good for them! I am from the central U.S., and was raised in a suburban housing development in which all the street names were U.K. cities and towns.or districts. I grew up on North Chelsea, the next street was North Brighton, North Leeds, North Manchester..etc..but when it came to North Birmingham..we pronounced it clumsily, as 'BirmingHAM'...just as wrong as my pronunciation of the Worcestershire sauce I loved as a child. It would hurt U.K. native ears to hear how we pronounced it!
it's birmingHAM not birminghum
Carl Chinn is a Legend of Brum and he knows everything
Carl Chinn.......what a legend, really knows his stuff lovely bloke 👍
Absolutely. Chinny is the heart and soul of our city.
He really does, so legit!
Professor Carl Chinn MBE.Renowned Birmingham historian and as down to earth as ever.
What?! Carl Chinn! He was my history tutor at university! Legend.
I'm watching all your England videos (i'm English) and loving seeing your reactions to our food and well, country. You're really honest and lovely, it's cool to see how you adapt to even 'small' things like the weather! That steak looked incredible by the way. Makes me so hungry when you guys have a real mouth-watering looking dinner. Enjoying your travels, thanks for sharing them!
If you’re from Birmingham like this comment - where the Birmingham squad at 🧐
no squads here lol
Love watching your vids and as a Brummie it's nice to see you visit our city!
Hope you enjoy it!
Loved the video! I'm a student at Birmingham Uni but I'm studying abroad in Canada for a year so this was a nice reminder of Brum, and the curries are definitely the best in the UK!
Ye Birmingham invented some curries
So it makes sense that it’s the best
Carl chinn. He’s the man to go to if you need to know anything about Birmingham. You chose the best tour guide possible. Ever!!
So glad you were able to come to.my part of the world. So many great parts to Birmingham it would be impossible to see them all in a short visit but definitely come back in the spring/summer and experience our amazing canal network plus you have to do Cadbury World
Go to Black Country museum ;)
Perfect pronunciation of Birmingham well done!
phuckerby although they separated the ‘ham’a couple of times. Need to watch the series a bit more. 😂🤣
Im glad you enjoyed your visit to the Second City. You only scratched the surface though. Theres soooo much more to Brum. It has a fantastic history and heritage. Britains most underestimated city.
# I❤Brum
I am from Birmingham, Carl Chinn is a local celebrity, he's cool. Great you enjoyed my great city, loved this vlog so much
To refer to Carl Chin as a tour guide does him a disservice. He has an OBE and an MBE and also a Professor at the University of Birmingham
That steak dinner was amazing!! And I love Crème Brule. OMG. Good job you two! You deserve a fancy dinner.
You two make staying alive worthwhile for months or years on end, THANK YOUs!
Allison, that crème brûlée is what is known as a 'face changer' and your reaction proved it. I really hope you enjoyed your time in Birmingham.
Great video guys! As Dominic Cadbury said “ the public perception of Birmingham lags way behind the reality of what is going on here” fantastic city & glad you saw that! 😎
Carl Chinn is a legend! I'm so pleased you're in my beautiful city. Welcome x
Peaky blinders is a brilliant programme ,as for meeting Carl Chinn, wow he's amazing .
So inspired to travel. Keep up the amazing content!
Hi guys! I've just discovered your channel and subscribed. Love the videos, and I look forward to catching up with your past adventures.....and your future ones too. Enjoy!
You've captured Brum really well - the city I grew up in (though I live in West London now). Carl Chinn is a great character so brilliant to see you met him. The Balti houses in the Sparkhill district are amazing - I first went to one of these restaurants back in 1982 and was totally hooked. Great vlog - looking forward to see what you do next in Brummagem! :)
Hey guys,I work behind the scenes on Peaky. Great vlog. 👍🏼👍🏼
your tour guide was Carl!!!!!!!!!!!!! how awesome is that! ive lived in brum all me life an never got to meet Carl, you had the VIP treatment xx
Really enjoyed watching it!!! It was awesome. You guys are amazing 😃
Hehehe Carl Chinn, basically anything Birmingham and he's all over it :D
Carl Chinn, alongside several others, is Brum’s top celebrity, a more passionate and energetic man about local history you WILL NOT find!
I really enjoy your videos so it's nice to see you getting spoiled by Visit Britain with the hotel and the dinner, hope you enjoyed it as you both deserve it for bringing such interesting content to your subscribers. Hope you get a proper curry and get some real ale. Mild beers are a specialty in the Birmingham area and as you like Guinness you should try a pint of mild in a good real ale pub. It's not stout but a a roasted malt beer with a lower alcohol content and bags of flavour.
Thanks so much for the suggestions!
That Peaky Blinders tour guide was Proff. Carl Chinn. He is one of the best historians of Birmingham. He works for the BBC and is the best historian of Birmongham.
Birmingham not Birmongham.
I graduated from UoB last year - this video makes me miss living there! If you’re ever there again, look up the Digbeth Dining Club, it’s an amazing food market with local artisan food stalls, and with a great bar inside. And there’s SO many good pubs and bars including my fave little gin bar
Great video as ever, I always enjoy them. Especially the drone shots. When you said the steak and creme brûlée were so good, I thought...yeah they are two things hard to get in Asia😋. I also enjoyed the “jello” burger!
Carl Chins a living legend of Birmingham :D
ahhh my home city, live in vietnam now so great to watch. Has anyone quizzed you on which of the two football teams you support yet?
great vid!
Absolutely love your vlogs. Take care guys
Carl Chinn is the most knowledgeable person about brum history
Go on with your good self Chinn! Best wishes from Dubai!
Lovely restaurant😊👑😊 i could watch that for 12min.
nice editing skills! ive just discovered your channel and am watching them all! my favourite british food is beef wellington, you should see if you can find that, its truely astounding!
When I go to gigs at the O2 Institute, or Mama Roux’s, in Birmingham, I usually park on the area where Court 36 used to be. 😊
That was professor Carl chinn , what a star.
Love the video as always. Just wondering if you guys are around in STL, we should do meet up in Pappys/Sugarfire.
Wow you got the rough-end of that skating session, so many grooves, they need to run the big buffing machine across it.
tour guides name is carl chinn. theres literally nothing that man does not know about Birmingham. i grew up in Birmingham either seeing him on TV or hearing him on the radio talking about local history. top bloke too
Hello !!
Me too i was in birmingham in december 2018 for christmas and new year.
Thanx 👍
Beautiful days!
Cool music at the beginning! 🎶💃
Ha, nice to see that coffee shop had Dip's sauces, they're a small company local to Brum, and their sauces are amazing.
As for off-roading, it's a great experience! Used to go to the courses around the Wyre Forest with my dad when I was a kid and loved every minute of it. Mum, not so much, a lot of screaming on her part.
Looks like a blast guys! I feel like I have to relearn to ice skate every single time I attempt...well maybe I've never really learned haha. Thanks for sharing and have a good one! - Shane
Peaky is filmed at the Black Country Museum worth a look , apparently it's also filmed in other locations as well but they don't matter . And it's Jaguar not jagWaar .
Jag-U-a
Haha Carl chin local Brummie celebrity remember listening to him as I was growing up he is a encyclopedia of Birmingham:) also Marco Pierre whites a fantastic restaurant with food to die for. Keep up the great videos really enjoy watching them.

😂
Matthew Griffiths great comment 🤣🤣
Shurrup Artha.
I love how you love Brum.
Carl Chinn is fabulous! A very knowledgable man! x x
Your tour guide Carl Chin is a real local celebrity. I believe he may be a university lecturer or professor. Anyway, as you said he know his stuff. On another point my stomach turned over at the thought of the fried egg and avocado bun, ugh!
WELCOME To My HOME CITY!! Your Guild is The Famous Brummie Carl Chin ( People from Birmingham are called Brummies). I'm so happy you didn't just visit London As England has so much more to Offer!!Hope you have a Great time. XX
Great video, top choice going to Yorks, the place is great!
It's good to see Eric's feeling better, he did look ill at the end of the last video. I've seen your tour guide on a couple of TV shows and he does seem to know his subject. I haven't had a steak for ages, and I watched Eric and Allison eating theirs with envy :-)
great video guys love your british videos
hi guys your so entertaining the bloke you met mr chan his very knowlegable about the blackcountry ,if you wanted to learn more of the past and if you come here in the summer i would take a trip to the blackcountry museum in dudley as thats where some of the peaky blinders was filmed mainley the boat yard scenes and takes you back 1940s and working down the mines and how the blackcountry got its name ,the working chip shop that is in there get a bag of chips mmmm ps love the stuff you do
Really nice you came to brum folks ✋....channels really cool nice one .
Come to Bristol guys, it's a great city. Would be happy to show you around the harbour and awesome food places!
11:36 - Exactly my expression when I eat a good Creme Brulee (Check out the Lion D'Or in St malo)
Was just randomly watching your videos and this one freaked me out a bit lol I'm an Aston Uni student and I literally walk those streets like everyday, I went to the Christmas market and the same ice rink last December I didn't expect that all to be on here haha
You’ve gotta try a Balti! Take a trip to Ladypool Rd, Birmingham’s Curry Mile.
I don't trust the hygiene in most of those places on ladypool road
No way, you met Carl Chinn!!! Legend round these parts 🖒
That Peaky Blinders tour looks pretty rad!
Wish I knew you were going to Birmingham. Would love to have met up with you guys. I love watching your videos. I only live about 10 miles from Birmingham.
Carl Chinn??? Legend in these parts. You are so lucky to have him guiding you around Brum.
hahah Carl Chin gets everywhere
I love it there ❤️❤️❤️
Where u from? And is it good city?
What's the whistling music sample at 5.34 when you both take to the Penguin?? I recognise it but can't remember where from!! Disney? Or maybe a British Indie band? Please somebody help meeee!!!
How long u planned u trip, traveling?
almost 50k subscribers! go go go guys!
That steak and creme brulee looks off the scale amazeballs!
Aww a shame your only an hour and half away from my home county of Herefordshire maybe next time ? Brum is nice as is Stratford upon Avon been there love the architecture there .👍🏻
So glad you got to see the Christmas market at Birmingham, I didn't realise the German stalls stayed in the UK so long ?
The man who gave you some Birmingham history is Carl Chinn MBE a Birmingham legend.
Professor Carl Chinn eh? He lives by my sister.
My lovely home town. Ah the places I could show you.
Love the uk videos guys.you should do loads more.and more food videos they are brilliant. You should go to a city in the midlands in Staffordshire called Stoke on Trent and try a proper Staffordshire oatcake! That would be fantastic if you did.il keep tuned 😁

Sorry got carried away and forgot to say live your video's 👍👍👍👍👍
Question for you both, if you were to live here, where would you pick?
great video guys
A meetup in Birmingham would be perfect !! I live there !! :)
Heya guys. How are you both. What was the name of the restaurant you guys went to looked fab x
like this couple good video
I'm not really a city person at all but Birmingham is probably the last city in Britain I'd want to visit, it would literally never occur to me to go there, but tbh It didn't seem that bad thanks for showing me it.
You should give it a chance good shopping and plenty of great places to eat
Devonian I live and work in Birmingham and I didn’t like it before. But there’s billions of investment in the city centre. Sometimes reminds me of a Chinese city - constantly in construction. Not there yet, but it’s getting better. Not an advertisement to my Instagram, but I have pics of recently developments if you are interested to see. See Liemleo.
@@Incurablecurious Birmingham is still a dump and hated as a city not safe and people are rude ignorant and unfriendly.
@@marked8327 Haha you are brutal! 🤣
Next time you are in England, try to visit Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. It was the filming location for the BBC's longest running sitcom "The Last Of The Summer Wine". It ran from 1973 until 2010. Very beautiful location and try to watch a few episodes to get you primed.
Wow you are in Birmingham!! I am studying here omg
Could you guys add the prices for the excursions in future videos ? That would be super helpful ! :)
You got to meet Karl Chinn he is a Prof
You have no idea how hungry I got watching A chow down on the fillet side of her T-Bone this morning. Also got a pop up ad! Trust the revenue starts clicking soon!
Carl Chinn - Brummy legend! You should come to England in the summer. Stratford upon Avon is a beautiful and historic town, my son lives there - well worth a visit.
What are you guys, mind readers?? I was totally going to plead with you to stop in Birmingham and next thing I know ... BAM... videooooo 🤗😜😁❤️💕 You guys are the best !!
Why yes... we are mind readers 😎
I love Allison.
It's weird seeing the places you see all the time on a video!
CodeDaily I know. I watch tgf bro and see places I know all the time
