There aren't many videos on UA-cam for transfer students. I mean there are some that talks about transferring from a university to a university. There aren't any talking about the BIG adjustment it takes to transfer from a community college to a university. Tips would be great like breaking down transfer process, what to expect and how to cope and etc. How it's extremely hard to get scholarships/grants because your transfer, etc.
I lived in a similar dorm setup my freshman year and nobody really left their door open either. Not saying it's impossible to meet friends that way but it's much harder than living in a traditional dorm. Good luck with classes and you'll meet plently of people soon enough!

my college move in day, i literally went and moved everything in bc we had to, but we still had a day before classes started so that night, i didn't even stay there. i went and moved in and then went back home for the night and then went back the next day(its only like a 45 minute drive). then, ny first night there I literally cried bc i hated my roommates and was so upset. i ended up switching rooms and being with my friend which was cool but i still never really liked living there so now i live at home and commute to my classes. honestly, i recommend to anybody that has the ability to commute DO IT. its so much better living at home AND you'll save sooo much money.
I live close-ish as well! I will definitely commute the coming years, but I was able to convince my parents to let me do one year dorming, and I love it so far! I think it's all up to the persons preferences!
Kaylin Jo yeah! there were aspects of it that i liked but i mainly didn't like that you were basically never alone. like, even with a single room it just never feels like home(at least to me) hopefully u do better than me bc i made no friends lmao maybe thats cuz my friend and i had each other so didn't make much of an effort
I move in on Sunday because I have to do this Science Major bootcamp thing. It makes it harder because I only have 20 min to unload my stuff then I have class until 11pm.. I wish my move in was more timely like yours. LOL

Findlay Holbrook There's actually no single dorms in Manzy but those dorms are actually newly renovated and really nice! As far as I know, my dorm is the only one with singles but it's not at the Tempe campus..
oh okay! because i talked to a friend who's a freshman on tempe and he has a single in hassy and was saying that there's singles in manzy too so I just assumed!!
