Learning To Memorize a Random 80 Digit Number in Under 15 Minutes? || Max’s Monthly Challenge

- In this episode (my 20th challenge) I try to learn how to memorize an 80-digit randomly generated number in under 15 minutes AND perhaps even more difficult I try to remember 60 names & faces in under 20 minutes!
This is one of those challenges that starts out feeling impossible but was super satisfying to learn the tricks & techniques along the way. Specifically the link method, major system & memory palace which are discussed throughout this video.

He is capable of memorizing a shuffled deck of cards in less than two minutes, and over 100 random digits in five minutes!

I did it!
One of my favourite books is "How to Develop a Perfect Memory by Dominic O'Brien" and it totally changed my perception of numbers. It's so awesome. Congrats on this challenge - and when did you get to SEVENTY SEVEN THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS? Crazy.

Great video! I enjoyed it more than most people since I am a competitive memory athlete myself and have been doing this exact same thing for 5 years now. Hi Max. I know we've both read Max Deaustch's Month2Master. I really like the process of seeing you learn and challenge yourself, even more than the final results. its good to see how you go from bad to kinda okay to good. would love to see more intermediate clips! but great vid as always!
It’s a tricky process choosing what makes the final cut! This edit took us over 60 hours... and it was a good 20hrs of footage. Sometimes the intermediate content really slows down the story telling so we edit it out once we watch it through. It’s difficult decisions! 😊

Speed reading is really cool. I did an online course and every time I'm reading something for uni I apply it and it's really so helpful, it's insane. And it's also very interesting the way the strategies got developed I think. Good luck!

Hey Yaro, I actually announced I was doing this challenge last month and have been planning in for 2 months and Mike only posted his memory video a couple of days ago. Also, my challenge is quite different. He remembers a static number once and my challenge is using only 15 minutes to memorize a random number + it had the name aspect making it quite a different challenge. Hope you enjoyed the video!
