Honestly this is the best painting tutorial around here. Great job Vincent1989 :). Hope you won't stop working on tutorials about Middle Earth figurines.
I know right, this is the first one I've painted, I've got probably 1000 points of minas tirith sat in blisters and they're been bumped up on my list of things to paint after this one. Might get to them before retirement!
They really do look dull don't they! But the thing is, they're really easy to paint in an effective way. I've always found that if a model is easy to paint and looks good at the end... then you want to paint more :p
Hi S7 Studio, still reading, just struggling to find hobby time, let me know what things you'd like tutorials for, I'm always open to video ideas, can't make any promises about when they'll get done though :/
Superb painting, that bit of the face was just excellent. Now, if only he had a string to his bow...but maybe you will add that when basing. Love to see more. Thanks
Great painting tutorial! I have recently started my Hobbit Hobby (about 1 year ago) and I am having trouble finding great painting tutorials on UA-cam for LOTRSBG. Keep them coming please! :)
Thanks for taking the time to comment and glad you liked the video, I agree, there aren't many painting tutorials around for SBG which is why I started doing mine, hopefully I'll have a bit more time in the new year to do some more :)
I miss me too. It's been a while, my phone broke, then the new phone I got was rubbish for videos, now I have a phone I think I could use again but time, with a young family, a house to maintain and a career to build and exams to pass doesn't leave much time for videos. Ive got some plans for a few things soon. Maybe around Christmas when I have some free time.
That's a good question, the shield I would paint black, but colours largely depend on what tone of black you want, if you wanted a 'grey' black then you'd use the likes of codex grey and fortress grey, using nuln oil to help bring to colours together. If you wanted a more 'brown' black then my wring wraith tutorial should give you some idea how to achieve that. Then I'd use the same silver as for the armour on the banding top and bottom. Finally a very light, targeted, drybrush of ceramics white across the tree should bring it out nicely, being careful not to get any on the black of the shield.
sorry for taking some time to reply, been a bit bogged down with studies, I believe I say in the video but I use Windsor and Newton Series 7, typically either a size 2 or a size 0.

Awesome work ! made me want to repaint my 15 years old Warriors of Minas Tirith
I always thought these guys look boring to paint, but this tutorial really makes me want to have a go!
Great job!

Lol, no doubt there will be something else to distract you and stop you ever finishing them.
nooo...That'd never happen...

Vince, if you're still reading this, please make more tutorials, you're the only one that's worth following!

Just got here from your painting Blue Cloaks video. Loving the lighting and Mic upgrades.
Great paint work, impressive details!

Thanks very much. Basing is my nemesis, I just don't find it as fan as painting haha.
Great painting tutorial!

Awesome man
Hi, do you think you'll do a Rohan painting tutorial in the future ? Hope to see you around. By the way, really great job !
Brilliant.
Awsome video is there any fell beasts on the agenda by the way
awesome tutorial, can you make a painting tutorial on how to paint a rohan warrior?
I'd like to, maybe when I finish my studies, I'm a fan of the Rohan aesthetic but I've always found painting them to be a bit of a slog!
I can't buy those green colors for the robes anywhere near me. What are the citadel equivalents?
nice tutorial have subscribed
Thanks very much!
What paints and order of application would you recommend for the shields of a shield unit? Great video btw, very helpful!

Does it matter what paint you use??
What brushes did you use, especially the one for the face?

Were you not paying attention or are you joking? If not, go back and watch the video again, take notes and never worry again!
Minus tirith 😂😂
