The question 'why did you do no fire prevention yet" is a very important and good one, I just watched a video from someone in Portugal, he was filming someones land completely burned down. Al the trees, the wine yard, fruit trees.. Everything gone. Just 3 weeks after they bought it. Keep it. In mind
Luckily the rain fell in enormous amounts last 2 weeks so we can make a plan for next year. Then we have actually have some time instead of 3 weeks without even having the keys😜🔑
The terrible rain continues 10-18-24. I even have some mold growing on my walls in my home near to the Coimbra Stadium. UA-cam didn´t tell me anything about your new vid!. You answered a question about stats of UA-cam vids. I embarked on this issue in Argentina back in 2018, but my topic wasn´t good. I didn´t even came close to monetization. Lots of views is nice, but (there is allways a but)... The subscriber ratio has to be between 3% and 7% of the views, at least. I had an enormous amount of views, but very few subscribers > dumped the proyect. Looking forward to your video IN the house, I suppose with winter time already. Greetings
Hi Teodoro! At the end we make the videos because we like to do it and we will see what happens haha ;). But you are right I suppose! Lots of views and no subs is not so nice, but I am very happy until now ☺️. Yea the rain was A LOT! The video IN the house will come soon I guess, we have the keys tomorrow 🎉
Wij hebben vorige week een huis in midden Portugal gekocht, wij kunnen niet wachten om te vertrekken uit NL! Ik snap heel goed dat jullie deze stap genomen hebben en wens jullie alle succes. 👍
I watched the videos because they are interesting. The house has a lot of land and it's different to where I live and I like nature. I'm interested in seeing your ideas and plans, then seeing how you progress. Btw, one of the trees near the house is a small walnut tree. They grow very large so it may be best to relocate it while you can I'm curious why you didn't back the vehicle up to the cut wood after cutting down the tree? Ensure you wear adequate eye, ear, feet, and other safety equipment, especially when you live remotely
Thanks for watching Tasty🙏🏻. Hmm you think the roots of the walnut tree can damage the house? Uhm because I didn’t want to put the car to far down because it has some starting problems and apparently it start worse when it’s not flat. (Also I don’t know how strong the manual brake is😜).
@@Quinta.Ivonne I had root damage to my house from a cherry tree. The assessor said you take the height of the tree and measure that distance from the trunk in a circle and that is where the roots can reach. If it's 80-100 feet from the house then it should be fine. So, will we be seeing you repair the fuel line/fuel pump/filter on your car?
I notice you guys saying you picked up the dog in Montenegro. Did you ever consider living there? We visited in 2023 and loved it. We enjoyed the coastal areas but also really found it lovely inland away from a lot of the busier places. Lovely country and lovely local people to which I will also say I found in Portugal also 😀
Yes that’s right Vi is from Montenegro. Hmm we found it a beautiful country also but I think for the climate Portugal is a lot nicer 🌞. We traveled in the end of the year in Montenegro and it can be cold and a lot of rain.
I am impressed by your courage. But please watch more videos on felling trees before you cut another . . Don't stand under the fall, be precise with your cut. Get some practical advice from someone that knows how to use a chainsaw. Get some practice cutting already felled trees so you get a feel for the saw's bite and power and you don't trap the chain again - keep em coming though.
Thank you. Yes I watched some videos BUT as you say: would be best if somebody teaches me in real life. On the other hand: I think I already learned a lot from this practice because I got great tips and now I have more feel for it. Ofcourse I’m still very much a beginner but I think doing it also makes it goes better. Thank you!
Well done on your purchase, but get yourself on a basic felling course, otherwise you will be in serious trouble , that was an awful attempt at felling a tree, apart from that what an amazing property you have landed, we look forward to watching your adventures x
You can probably have portuguese lessons in your local municipality, but don't worry so much, it will take time. For example, I know that in Coimbra University (uc.pt/en) they have intensive courses, normally in September and February of each year.

@@Quinta.Ivonne Even in summer we experienced some torrential rain but Iwould agree also. Portugese climate is more suiting for me at least.

Do you advise me to buy a property in Portugal?
You should do what fits your aspirations I think 😉

Ps if you need any advice on felling or anything else tree surgery give us a shout
Thank you!
I think I’m going to search for some online coarse OR maybe a friend is visiting in a while and he can teach me :).
@Quinta.Ivonne there is plenty of stuff on UA-cam, however its always better to get some tuition, also invest in some chain saw trousers 👖 😉
Yes I looking to buy for some protection 👖 ;)
What does PACO stand for?
PACO was the name of our first campervan and PACO means “free man or free spirit” in Native American.

When you video, can you slow down when you pan around with the camera? So far, you have made me dizzy watching.
Yes you are right, it was an experiment but we not going to do this again 😬
How do you make money to live?
Renting out our appartment + savings.
