I'M canadian, came here 6 months for 6 years....Wounderful place, nice people, low insecurity, cheap bus fare available everywhere to anywhere, best fresh food, nice beaches, inviting cities and full of historic sites but the best....Sunny most of the time... Doctors come to your house if you need. Low prices everywhere except for gaz...1$/liter actually, kinda high for the salary they make.

It was a great short video. Only wish it was longer. visited San Miguel many years ago and loved it. I'm heading soon toward Merida and hope my paradise will be in the Yucatan. Bravo to you for taking the leap when you did. I'm 65 and just wish I'd gone sooner. I want to live my life by the position of the sun in the sky rather than watching a watch. Bless you!
Don't stereotype white people...Most of the people I know ,Love the Mexicans. But in our society we are taught by the different media outlets to make fun or dislike anyone that is different than we are. For example...most of my adolescent years, I watched T.V Westerns, and my mind was ingrained into believing that { All Mexicans Wore White Clothes, Drank Tequila, had Burros, and Slept sitting against an adobe hut, While wearing a Sombrero } And the News never had anything positive to say about Mexico either { and they still don't }
I'm glad you know why we miss our mexico we might not have thousands of dollars but we enjoy life.
Finally someone notices the same thing i did, and YES thats why i respect other latin countries like puerto Rico or Bolivia because they actually LOVE their people and culture
I have been living in Mexico for a year now and love it! The Mexican people are warm and friendly. Always eager to help those of us that speak little Spanish. The culture is different and not as fast paced as in America. Local food is outstanding and reasonably priced.
Indeed, there's a lot of that, But Brownsville 5 years ago was one of the safest places on USA, today not so much, but the place still is a pretty clean and safe.

fascinating! my wife is a native speaker and my Spanish is pretty good, We will be spending most of our retirement in Latin America, hopefully several months here.
