I can’t think of this anime without crying, I always think of what could’ve happen if that faithful day had never happened. Anohana is the one and only anime that can make me cry with just one line from an Ending. "Time stopped for her that day, but it continued for all of you".
So her wish was for her friends to continue being there for each other and to not let their memories of their fun moments be lost in time. As long as they remember her, her time will continue to flow just like theirs.

I'm so late to this, but I still feel the need to leave my comment. I've only recently (last 8-10 weeks) started watching anime. It is way more than I expected it could be. Even though the Japanese culture has intrigued me since I was a kid in grade school, I never gave anime a look. I've only seen the first few episodes of this show, and it has already made a huge impression on me. From what I've read, I, more or less, know where this show is going. However, I've not yet experienced it myself. The music from the show, and many other animes, is truly powerful in it's own right. Whenever possible, I listen to English covers, or look for the English lyrics. I've been dabbling in learning Japanese on my own, and I'm nowhere near being fluent. However, I do know that when translating from Japanese to English, nuanced meanings are easily lost. This is especially true when dealing with emotional, personal, or spiritual matters. Yours is probably the 6th or 8th English cover of this song I've found. It is, by far, the best, that I've found. It conveys the sentiment and feelings of the Japanese lyrics better than the others. I know that Bloom, said basically this same thing 3 years ago but I just had to say it again. Thank you for your effort. I realize and appreciate the changes you made to make stanza syllable counts work and that is a difficult thing to do when working with these two languages. You did it quite elegantly. I do miss the stanza about the abandoned bicycle. However, the translation of that stanza is arguably the most difficult of the whole song. The literal translation from Japanese to English, fails to clearly express the concept. Not to mention, I don't know if the syllable matching could ever be worked out. Thanks again for your efforts. You did a wonderful job.
