I think the 'Textgate' saga is the number 1 reason why Andrew Strauss hasn't let KP back in the England side.
There is no text gate saga, it's just hypocrisy.
Who the eff stole his phone and went through his texts? Who , on the team,was running a parody Twitter account ,to publicly humiliate KP ?
Why were those people not sacked from the team for their behavior ?
There was reason to sack 3 or 4 people, before you got to the texts.

Yea...I wrote my comment back in February. I do have some sympathy for him. It appears that he was misled by the ECB that if her proved himself in county cricket then there would be a way back into the England team. Then Strauss took over and this was never going to happen. Pietersen is an extremely good batsman but he does seem to fall out with people..........
I don't think cricket is that popular in America.

PIETERSEN is just 34 (retd. at 33) trescothick at 31 , strauss at 34 etc. , the retiring age for a cricketer is 37+
their contribution is just not enough

Pietersen hasnt retired, he was sacked by England. He's still playing for Surrey, and also in the IPL, CPL, and Big Bash
Like Sam said, Pietersen has had his international career retired on his behalf by the incompetent ECB. That wasn't his own choosing. Trescothick was always fine as long as he was within spitting distance of Somerset and a plate of sausages (no joke!) Going on tour was never particularly easy for him. Strauss is waiting for his moment to inject some mild mannered ex-sportsman toryness into British politics, (aka Sebastian Coe) and in doing so, to make full use of that monotonic voice. Did I miss anything?

As an Australian I struggle to see the validity of your statement, the man has over 10,000 runs across all forms of international cricket and is England's highest run scorer. He's been one of the more dominant batsmen on the the international stage. He's a fantastic cricketer and your statement is completely unfounded.
