Best if you just go to world 330 (gilded house party) use their portal nexus and teleport to barrows (if they have the narrows tele) save cash, use their pool and teleport to G.E. When running low on supplies.
I tried both that and the iban staff . The almost triple cost of casting with that thing not to mention to infinity more expensive upfront cost of getting it is unbelievable . I'll go in and kill the brothers just as fast with iban
Actually it only has a 25% chance to attack through prayer and armour and it's reduced by prayer by 5. So you're taking 81.25% less damage with protect from melee up, it's definitely considered a priority to pray against.
I don’t use prayer against verac. Not overheads at least. 74 prayer and only use a sip of prayer if dharok is in tunnel. Just bring some sharks with decent defense. I bring monks as well so you can eat cheaply. I’d rather eat 5 monkfish and a shark than use 3 prayer pots
I've never attempted barrows before when I used to play. I stuck to your guide and with the ideal low-level mixed with some medium-level gear it went as smooth as it could! Thanks man! Also, this may just be an idiot moment on my part, but it may be worth mentioning that Iban's staff only holds 120 charges unupgraded. I ran out of charges against Verac and had a scary moment lol.
Because mathematically it's more likely to not save you a prayer dose until you hit much higher prayer levels, ie. 70+. And it has much lower defensive bonuses than torags and dharoks which you can use to tank Guthan and Torag with which can save up to 2 doses of prayer. Mathematically you're probably saving about 0.5-1 dose of prayer potion going Torags top over Verac.
@@Chazulu2 I don't think that's what he was saying but if it were, I did respond in another comment that protection from melee against verak is 81.25% effective and verac hits hard with his passive, especially without prayer.

Going to clan wars to heal every time seems time consuming. Do you know the average amount of chests you can get /hour when using clan wars tele versus just running back up and wasting more supplies? I don't mind that cuz I've farmed almost 7k ranarrs lol

@Jack Sullivan Alright first off, if you don't have 75 magic you can't use the the trident of the seas, use the ibans staff and enchant that, the necklace i an amulet of fury, the thing left to the necklace is an ava's accumulator (use any ava item you have to pick up the ammo you're using) and the potions are a strength, attack, restore and stamina potion
I only pray on dharok and karil. With 40def and full rune the other brothers hardly hit and as you said, food is cheaper than a potion. Ahrim is normally dead before he starts attacking because he does his curses first.
If that works for you that's great! If you're above 70 or so prayer you're also able to get away using prayer and not using a potion at all. And don't forget to eat between brothers so you don't lose any dps eating while fighting
I'm a returning player, 82 combat with: 70 attack, 64 strength, 61 Def, 68 hits, 71 mage, 63 ranged and 53 prayer I have IBAN staff, but I haven't done the quest for the neitiznot helm. Is there an alternative/substitute helm? And what's the amulet in the low setup. Thanks for your help.
If you need a replacement helm you can't really find one, you're better off sticking with a rune full or dragon med helm, then swapping the boots out for mystic. Just keep in mind whatever swaps you need to keep at worst -30 magic attack. The amulet in the low setup is an amulet of fury.

Yo! sorry for hte late reply. It's not super important to have perfect gear you can make a lot of mistakes in barrows so what the other commenter said is fine. The reason I don't put much emphasis on prayer is because it's drained in the minigame every 10-15 seconds or so. It's much better to just kill things as fast as you can. The drop rates about 1/16 if i remember right so you should be getting a drop any time now! as long as you're killing th ebrothers ofc
@@SilvenVids yeah it's around fifteen seconds prayer gets drained, I'm definitely killing all six brothers, I could just do with some advice on what to work on next, gear/stats I figured because I pray against all brothers I didn't need decent defense so I wear priest robes. Some things on your setups have increased significantly in value I.e. fury amulet, so I'm just looking for the best budget setup (2-2.5m) with additional info on what should be obtained next. @@CASANOVA68365 If you don't have the amulet of fury use an amulet of glory. The magic shortbow is probably the minimum you would need it yes, that would come with the blue dragonhide because theyre both 50 range

Barrows is a great intro PvM challenge as it's fairly easy, but still requires most of the same skills as harder bosses and gives ok rewards. Cheesing Dharok in the tunnels with either the invisible ladders or rocks is a great way to save on expensive prayer pots, and have the peace of mind knowing that he's not going to hit you for 50+ on that last hit when your prayer gets drained. At full health he's actually the least scary melee brother, since his attack speed is so slow. Having higher prayer is probably the single best thing for borrows, as prayer potions easily become the biggest cost at lower levels. If you're using more than 2 prayer potions per run, you're probably not going to be making any money at barrows unless you get REALLY lucky with valuable armor pieces. I'd also say that Guthan is slightly more advantageous to pray against than Verac (if you have any prayer left over after D, A and K), since his special can make him take longer to kill if he gets lucky. Praying against Verac doesn't really do much when you're wearing heavy tank gear since he's going to hit you about 1/4 of the time regardless of whether you're praying or not.
I don't understand what's going on with my setup. I'm at -29 magic attack bonus but I still frequently splash. Did I miss something in the guide? I just tried taking off my rune plate and legs, I'm now at +22 and Im still frequently splashing
@@SilvenVids It went so well! It's nuts how you can still hit high with negative magic bonus. I am using a combo of the setups with rune/dragon armor, rune cbow and Iban's blast. Also tried with the trident of the seas but I don't think it's worth the price for me. I got my first drop too - the Dharok's platebody. Was pretty hyped.
Sorry for the late reply! Technically yes, but ibans is better because of cost. You wouldn't shave much time off with ice burst and it'll cost a lot more money.
You die IRL =( Nah you just spawn back just before the start of the floor you're on. So if you die on floor one you spawn at the entrance, floor 2, at the end of floor one before you go down the ladder. Olm fight, floor 2 just before u walk down
@@thoaran8292 Ohhh gotcha, All I do is work out some rough appropriate stats to do the minigame/boss efficiently. So you can be slightly lower for some and slightly higher for others, it's not a fixed amount.
I got base 60 combat stats (str/att/def and 51 range, 61 magic), can afford the Low Lvl gear but if I understand correctly you should only use melee on the monsters inside the crypt and always mage/range for the brothers?
taintedman I mean, Mathematically speaking yes. But when I use my full gear setup (which was recommended for my level and financial situation my magic is like -54.
Because you don't need high magic to do dps as their defence to it is sooooo low, this means we can use tanky gear instead and use no supplies which increases the profit while barely reducing the speed. Once you get to a higher level it's best to use your best dps gear however (as it adds % damage rather than accuracy)

Dragon Weapons mainly. It's also a stepping stone into a lot of other helpful quests but mainly just the dds.
"Cost: 30m+" *shows dwh + 2 zenyte items plus full lvl 75 all combat skills gear and several imbued items but no avernic for a grand total of 60m+*

It's for the accuracy bonus not for the defensive bonus. Otherwise your kills are going to be very slow

No it's -40 Magic attack. It's not worth the extra 1 max hit.

@@SilvenVids I'm just confused how you get it so high with your other stats being lower? have i been training wrong?
@@thoaran8292 Ohhh gotcha, All I do is work out some rough appropriate stats to do the minigame/boss efficiently. So you can be slightly lower for some and slightly higher for others, it's not a fixed amount.

I got base 60 combat stats (str/att/def and 51 range, 61 magic), can afford the Low Lvl gear but if I understand correctly you should only use melee on the monsters inside the crypt and always mage/range for the brothers?
Yeah karil can be defeated with magic as his magic defence isn't great.

When you say stay above -30 magic, do you mean like -29 is better or -31? Right now my current set up is -50 magic
taintedman I mean, Mathematically speaking yes. But when I use my full gear setup (which was recommended for my level and financial situation my magic is like -54.
Why do people go for melee gear when we're using magic 80% of the time ?
Because you don't need high magic to do dps as their defence to it is sooooo low, this means we can use tanky gear instead and use no supplies which increases the profit while barely reducing the speed.
Once you get to a higher level it's best to use your best dps gear however (as it adds % damage rather than accuracy)

It's the Iban Staff. It's a reward for completing underground pass quest.

Unfortunately no, the fighter torso magic attack is too bad at the low levels
