As a senior at IU I’ll comment after watching but the fact that we’re PLAYING IN BIG GAMES and being hated on by the media is so much fun. You realize we never get talked about, even mentioned on any important schedules and suddenly the one time were a top 5 matchup AT osu we get shoved down as easy schedule etc
I could be proven wrong tomorrow, but the analytics and eye test says Indiana is not an analytical fluke like 2022 TCU. Even when you adjust for the schedule, this team is a Top 12 team at the very worst, and a Top 5 team potentially. In addition, this is the 2nd best WR corps that Ohio State has played all season long, and it is closer to Oregon's WR corps than PSU's. Also, as much as I love PSU's defensive front, Indiana's defense is better at stopping the run per CFB Nerds' relative performance metrics (how you perform vs your opponents' expected statistical performance). I believe this will be a hard fought battle, and if that is the case this matchup will not change my opinion of Ryan Day and only of Curt Cignetti a little (the latter possibly earning a Top 2 win is massive).
I hope SEC nerds start to factor in all the cold weather big ten games SEC schools will be playing in the playoffs 😆 oh and grats on the Bryce Underwood bidding war! 👏
As an IU grad, football has never been on my radar. The last decent Hoosier team I can remember was with Anthony Thompson when they beat Michigan in Ann Arbor. But that was a hiccup and most years have been misery so my expectations have been low to nonexistent. That is until the shock of this season. I believe IU has the potential to have an undefeated season. This game obviously will be a real test. I know OSU is a stellar team. But historically even with bad teams IU plays well in Columbus despite losing. This is no bad team. Not even close. Regardless of the outcome I am just enjoying the ride. The fact we are having this discussion is astounding beyond words. May it be close, and may you be right Sam on your change! 11-0 on this stellar OSU team would be magic! Can’t wait!
What's really crazy is that most of these Indiana players are coming from James Madison and still grading out close to Ohio State players. And I'm not saying it's inaccurate, but that's still pretty crazy
Just shows how much coaching matters. They WANT to play for Cignetti(sorry if I butchered his name) and so they do play. I don’t think IU are frauds, they’re a legit team playing elite ball because that’s what their leader demands. Good for them, hard not to root for the Hoosiers this
Despite the fact that it sucks that Ohio state has now lost two of their best offensive linemen, I expect them to rally around each other and rise to the occasion and I wouldn't be surprised if this offensive line plays really well the rest of the year. It could be similar to what we saw in 2014 when they lost Braxton Miller and JT Barrett
I'm hoping that Ohio State decides that they're not going to really try to run the ball up the middle. They haven't been very good at that this year, and it's wasted a lot of downs and put them in 3rd and long situations. Now they have a better excuse not to do that with the changes on the offensive line and honestly I think it could benefit them if they try not to do it, because they do better when they run outside
@Sw0rdnBoard Carson Henzman started at Center all year last year for them, and he is bigger and in better shape now than he was last year and more motivated because he got benched, so I expect him to do pretty good
Yes you are correct I believe Indiana's quarterback will run the ball, and we have to watch out for that. We have already seen quarterbacks like Drew Aller, in Dillon Riola, run pretty good against us, and so they definitely have to be ready for that and I think they will be at least expecting it
While I think Indiana can keep it competitive, I just think Ohio State’s defense will keep Indiana scores at a premium. It will be close in the first half, but Ohio State pulls away late in the third. Best thing Indiana can do is implement Northwestern’s game plan (win TOP battle and keep Ohio States offense off the field). With that said, I got the Buckeyes taking down the Hoosiers 33-21.
Totally agree about both coaches doing there/eir? thing. I love Cignetti swag and I like Moore a bit more now. I want the B1G to be better than the SEC. I can’t stand UM but I have no love lost for SEC!
Actually love it when my team it told. ”no”-continue sir, let’s just hope they hear all this Our run D is 3rd n they 1st but ur intelligent enough to see who we’ve played? how many 4th n “6 at the goalln we made??! Least 3. We shall see honestly. Hell I can’t tell tbh frank
Oh, absolutely. I brought that up several times. I also talked about how even when you factor for SOS, IU is close to OSU in a lot of metrics (such as run defense, pass and scoring offense, QB performance).
@collegefootballwithsam yes that's definitely correct because the strength of schedule probably isn't too far off because Ohio state has only had two games that were a lot harder than Indiana
Only thing I have to disagree with is the rush offense for Indiana. They had only 40 yards of rushing against the only DL that they played at home. OSU will out rush Indiana. This will be a game halfway into the 3rd quarter, but I expect a 2 score win for OSU at minimum.
Indiana reminds me of 2007 Boise State. Curt Cignetti coaches A LOT like Chris Peterson. If you watched them in the early preseason games against FIU and Western Illinois they ran many trick plays including Statue of Liberty variations and screens. They have not ran these plays at all since the preseason. If IU plays Ohio State heads up football basic plays, they will lose. Ohio State is bigger and faster than IU. I expect Cignetti to pull these plays out of his back pocket again and beat Ohio State the same way 2007 Boise State stunned Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. I got IU 34 OSU 31
I appreciate your prayers, and if I am wrong, I will say so and respond with a good analysis of Saturday's game as always. It's good to see you back on the channel.
LMAO! Everyone’s entitled to a bad day at the office I guess, but this was painful to listen to. Long story short, you’re about to find out how a WEAK strength of schedule can skew numbers significantly. 20 points for the Buckeyes at home huh? Come on dude…

Same here, shout-out to 3 years of disappointment. It’s paying off now lol

I love this change and agree with most things you are saying. Not fan of CFB nerds though they are SEC homers! But maybe they correct on some things!

You’re the only one that I have found that has the stones to pick the Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers!!! You have my subscription :)

We can't forget MSU was up on Indiana 10-0
Then what happened? 47 UNANSWERED points
Wasn’t OSU trailing against NU last week?

I still don't think we have seen Ohio State at their best yet this year. My hope is that it starts tomorrow and continues into the playoffs
I doubt they are going to get better after losing their center
@Sw0rdnBoard Carson Henzman started at Center all year last year for them, and he is bigger and in better shape now than he was last year and more motivated because he got benched, so I expect him to do pretty good
If Ohio State plays an A+ game this game isn’t close! I predict Ohio State will play a B+ to A game and will pull away in the second half.

Bro move your ad copy to the middle or end of the video. Don't mix your give with your ask. This is evergreen marketing advice.
Another thing you have to consider when you're looking at statistics is the fact that Ohio state has the statistics with a tougher schedule
Oh, absolutely. I brought that up several times. I also talked about how even when you factor for SOS, IU is close to OSU in a lot of metrics (such as run defense, pass and scoring offense, QB performance).

@@collegefootballwithsamI don’t even know how you would factor that in without them playing each other! How does that work? Serious question.

Sam, it's one thing to be wrong, but to CHANGE to be wrong is life altering sh!t. I will pray for you.

@@collegefootballwithsam You might be right, but if you're not...I will pray. PS: I still watch your videos, I just don't comment...that much.
@@greenman5255he’s pretty honest usually. I don’t think we need to be worried about that. 😊
Your initial prediction is the inverse of mine. Mine is Indiana 31 The team from Columbus 27
These analyst nerds are disrespecting Indiana for sure
Bro I am being serious here, You have got to be insane!! Ohio State will beat them no problem.
34-28 OSU
Osu wins 39-24
You lost all credibility when you said IU offensive coaches are better than Ohio State’s. Absolutely ridiculous.
You should Google it! Welcome to the “Cig ten” 😂
this dude also picked penn state to beat ohio state so keep that in mind lol
Osu 35 Indiana 7
😅😂 you’re not going to want to watch any news tomorrow night

A *ichigan guy saying Indiana is going to win. How original.
34-20 OSU
That's a very realistic prediction. If Ohio State is able to run the football effectively, they will probably score 30+.
👀👀👀👀
he also picked penn state to beat ohio state by 17
14*, and I was going to revise it down to 7, but I could not release the deep dive in time. I was wrong, it happens.
There was a disturbance in the force. I thought Penn St would win also. Franklin factor? 😂
He's a *ichigan fan, do you expect anything less?
lol bucks by 14
Trippin
35 - 24 Ohio St.
Lol nah Sam Ohio State wins this one by 14
Indiana has a better offensive staff?
