Btw the in universe explanation for shadow not using his doom powers when he fights sonic is that he was holding back as shown in the cutscene
Also sonics "double jump" is the jump dash Basically a nerfed air boost

I think the in universe explanation for Shadow not using his Doom Powers is just so that he doesn't get an unfair advantage. We literally see him thinking whether to use Doom Spears on Sonic.
I think because he knows that he’s gonna fucking kill sonic so he would rather just convince him that he won and gave him the fake emerald compared to fucking killing him

Shadow Generations, Bowser’s Fury, Kirby’s Return to Dreamland + Magolor? All great remasters paired up with a new fun story
Chaos Control does a lot in other stages too. For example; in Kingdom Valley, you can use it to catch the Black Arms that is shooting you during the 2nd and 3rd water stages; and Doom Blast it to skip a large amount of the Surf section.
I've actually been trying to gradually improve my time in some levels because it just feels so good to control Shadow.
Shadow dosen't use the Doom Powers against sonic because he wishes to beat Sonic fairly or not at all. And he loses them at the end of the game as they are directly linked to Black Doom.
I agree with other characters in the universe of Sonic getting more attention, especially those that have been playable in the past. It would be fun for SEGA to do a game centered around Blaze and the Sol Dimension that has the games story happen due to some sort of time anomaly, different from in Generations, and Silver would be investigating more into this due to whatever is happening would also threaten Sonic' dimension and his future as well.
I agree I love when a remake decides to do more than just improve the game for the modern times
Shadow Generations is more of a remaster. But what a remaster it is
29:10 A slight correction: That move was never called a double jump. That is an air dash, and it has existed in the series since the Sonic Adventure (1998) days. It was in 2013 with Lost World when they started to use a double jump instead of an air dash for the games. LW, Forces, Frontiers and Shadow Gens use the double jump, while any other 3D game has an air dash.
And also, 23:55 he doesn't use the Doom powers cuz he is honorable when it comes to fighting Sonic, and we can literally see him thinking whether or not to use the powers on Sonic or not.

Also Infinite would've been neat, but Black Doom literally is doing the whole reality warping so much better than Infinite ever did, so it might've made it a bit redundant.

every 3D mainline game After sonic adventure 2 and before Sonic unleashed gave Shadow a big role in some way, in 06 he even has a bigger role than Sonic and I see that happening again.
The next big sonic game will be 100% Sonic Frontiers 2 and because of the Final Horizons update we will probably have several playable characters, including probably Shadow.
powers like the Doom Wings, Doom Morph and Doom Surf are perfect for an open world game.
@joopvanhedel1372 I wasnt a huge fan of frontiers but unironically shadow with these new abilities would probably sway me to loving it. These work TOO well in an open world setting
Oddly Shadow was missing from the 2D Games of the era, while Advance 1&2 can easily be written off as before Sonic Heroes, Shadow appeared in Sonic Battle which happened before Advance 3 which like Rush he wasn't in at all. Rush Adventure was understandable because of Sonic & Tails being in Blaze's World. I don't know what the next 3D Sonic Game will be or who the next character to get focus on will be.
Also having these games be the most recent in their series has fans speculating and anticipating what they could mean for the future of their series.
Honestly I do think these games are some of the better aproaches to remakes/remasters we've seen as of late. Even if I think in some scenarios, the base game itself could've used a bit more attention, slapping a whole side story mode onto the base experience is really cool! I love that it lets devs and designers play around with ideas that might not work in a full fleshed out game, or try stuff out to potentially use in future games, while also giving a new unique experience! The biggest complaint ive always heard about these side modes is that people kind of wish this was just the whole game, and i cant help but agree from everything I've seen! Also i will say that, and i might be wrong here but, the first game i remember doing something like this was Superstar Saga + Bowsers Minions, which i never really got around to doing despite loving the idea, same with Bowser Jr.'s Journey. Also i love magalor i would buy fruit from he.
the power of shadow are tied to Black Doom and because Shadow defeated Black Doom he lost the powers but Black Doom is Imortal so if he appears in the future probably Shadow will get the powers back making potential for solo Shadow games where Black Doom would be shadows eggman equivalent
That's what I expect is going to happen, now that they've shown Black Doom can come back from death.
I want SEGA to Remaster Shadow with a Playable Sonic as a Secret Bonus.
Sonic is already playable in Westopolis, Lethal Highway, & Final Haunt if you use the 2nd Controller.
For the Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe There was also The Expanded Mini games with Merry Magoland and the Reason why Metal General and Landia didn't get a Refight in Magalor Epilogue is that Metal General already has a Extra Fight in HR D3 in Extra Mode the Hard Mode for Kirby return to Dreamland and the Rampaging Doomer are the Same amount as Landia 4 Dragons/ 4 Doomers (Also that Super Kirby Clash Already had Landia Landia EX and Palleral Landia (Being Landia being Corrupt by the Master Crown and Looks Lot like Magalor Soul) along with the Masks you can wear of Many different Kirby Ailles and Enemies that are fun Cosmetics and some have there own sound effects and there is new Lore Once You Talk to Magalor in Extra Mode after Getting All 120 Energy spheres and talk to him a third time Magalor Admitted that he Lied to Kirby about a Lot of things mainly being Halcandra is NOT his home planet but when there for a very long time and reveal Magalor true Goal was want to give people Joy and Wish to Make his own Amusements Theme Park and First want to Make being a Shop keeper want to make Weapons and Gear Along with All the Boss Fight (Main Extra and Magalor Epilogue) having there own Pause Lore Descriptions also Magalor in Magalor Epilogue with the Skill Trees as Voice lines for each and ever Level of his Abilities and that not mentioned the True Arena not only has Extra Mode Bosses and all the Bosses Form Magalor Epilogue to play with Kirby and the Other But also Made a Hard Mode Version of Magalor Soul with a New Version of his theme form Magalor Fight with Morpho Knight form kirby Star Ailles 2 Pause Boss Lore and and Attacks Making it the most Dangerous out of any True arena to Date with and new Phase and attacks and a different defeat animations
shadow gens isn't exactly going to throw away stuff, after all they are embracing the canon nowadays

@AstralKat i dont think they are abandoning things like Sage or even trip Who is going to appear on an IDW comic very soon, depends on how they go about It in the future

About Shadow's Doom Powers and why they're not used in the other games: In the hub world conversations with Gerald its stated Shadow's Doom Powers are related to Black Doom's increasing power and influence over Shadow. When he defeats him at the end of the game it's implied he loses them!
