Very cool. I’m 61 and have been watching every video on the Notos recently, so of course I’ve seen a couple of yours as well. I subscribed because I really like the long range shooting you’re doing with the Notos. I haven’t seen anyone else pushing it that far out. That’s where the real skill comes in. I’m not a hunter so, not all that interested in close range shooting. I’ve done lots of plinking and target shooting out to 500 yards with .223 and .556, which is doable but not easy. I’m too old and sore to bother with going to outdoor rifle ranges anymore so I got into air rifles just a month ago. Got a Gamo swarm fusion and it’s really accurate but I’m looking for a smaller PCP that I can soup up and the Notos is perfect for that. What you’re doing with this little rifle is exactly what I want to do. Having to hold over on the scope to lob a pellet into a target 200 yards or more is sniper stuff man. Amazing skills for your age.
Keep up the interesting long range shooting videos.
    Aloha from Seattle. 🤙🏼

You're welcome! I'll, the Notos is an awesome gun. I bet you'd love it! 500 yards is no chip shot for a .223, I bet the wind knocks it around a lot! If you get a compressor I would recommend a yong heng don't get a Vevor. Thanks again for the kind words, have an awesome day! Happy new year!

@ , Thank you man. You’re right, 500 yards with a .223 ain’t no chip shot. But neither is a .22 cal low power short barrel PCP at 200 yards. That’s actually harder. The wind, is a pain in the ass in either case. But pellets are affected way more as they lose energy in the first 50 yards. You have to compensate for all that. Not so much with a rifle meant for that distance. What you’re doing is way more fun. You’re not on a range under pressure, you’re on the farm and can really focus on every shot. No distractions. Just good fun and trying to make the impossible shot. And you hit it! That’s not by accident. You’ve nailed the holdover and hoping for no side gusts, and squeeze.
You’re good man. I have no idea the different names of air rifles you mentioned are good, I just know I can’t afford them. I’ll be super happy with the Notos to start off with. It’s not a sniper rifle, it’s small, light, cheap, and way more of a challenge long range. I SHOULD be missing at 200 yards with a 50 yard pellet carbine. That just means, try harder. Know your scope. Do the math. You’re doing all that and more. You’re hitting some amazing shots with something that shouldn’t be able to. That’s really all I want to do now. I’m not walking 200 yards through a field to check my target either. I saw what happened in my scope. Let’s try that soda can at 300 yards. And keep going from there.
Keep up the great channel. Keep looking for that impossible shot. You’ll notice that it’s smaller and further away every time. That’s what it’s always been about for me. Mostly, have fun man.
Peace and aloha to you and yours from Seattle. Have a great new year. 🤙🏼

@@Woodstock271 I'm glad you appreciate the effort it takes to hit a target at 200 yards! I would totally go for 300 yards, but I ran out of MOA on my scope, and I don't have any mil-dots in it, so I may never be able to push it further. I'm really happy you liked it! The air rifle I used to shoot 200 yards is the AEA Challenger Pro-such a great gun! I actually hit a brick at 340 yards within 7 shots with my 22lr using bulk ammo. I was recording it, but my little sister came outside and bumped the camera, so I never got it on video. But, I did manage to capture some footage in this video ua-cam.com/video/SjFbhd4ybuc/v-deo.html Have a good one!

@ , Yeah, my little sister screwed me up lots of times. Get used to it.
Thanks, I’ll check out the video.

@ , Well that’s the conundrum isn’t it? A better scope would allow a much higher holdover but it’s a $250 dollar gun. A $500 scope would get you 300 yards but you’d be aiming the rifle at the sky. It gets ridiculous at that point. So you keep moving up. More power, better scope, and you’ll notice that your scope is twice as much as the rifle is after a while. I had a $2000 dollar scope on an AR I got for 300 bucks. That’s overkill but whatever. It made those shots possible. It goes on and on my friend. Have fun with it and be safe.
