- Ever wondered what a room looks like inside the United States Naval Academy? Follow me through a quick tour inside my room! Big shoutouts to my roomates Ryan Bullock and Constantin Campbell.
For everyone that's new to the channel, WELCOME! My name is JC and I'm currently a Robotics and Control Engineering major at the US Naval Academy. I play on the Division 1 Water Polo Team and love to make videos about my college experience!

What are you not allowed to have in your room?
Nice, got a chance to see the room in person when I dropped my son off for wrestling camp two summers ago. He loved it there!! It's what convinced him to be a Sea Cadet. He and his roomies did notice that some hidden cleaning items in the tiles of the ceiling. LOL

Yes you can bring one. But I don't suggest bringing one on I-Day. Have your parents ship it to you later on in the year

Awesome video I can't believe 1 room has 4 beds and also do you inspect other midshipman. I really can't wait until I go to the naval academy. I'll be there in 4 years maybe
I don't inspect other rooms as a sophomore. Maybe as a senior :)

What size are the beds so can get a perfect fit fir the memory foam?
I'd say the surface area is a bit smaller than a twin sized mattress

I’ve watched all your videos and I love them. Do you have any tips for essays because the summer seminar application is opening in less than a month.
Try your best to write something unique. There are gonna be tons of others that will write in their essays that they want to attend the summer program because they want to serve their country and attend the naval academy and become an officer. Rather in your essay, talk about what first inspired you to serve or talk about a specific hero in your life that made you want to join the serices. Talk aout your passion that even if you don't get in the first time, you'll apply the next year or enlist in the Navy. Bring up something unique and that'll give you an awesome essay.

Is there anything you aren't allowed at the Naval Academy? ...and are the rooms Co-ed?
There are no coed rooms here. And we're not allowed to have alcohol, TV, anything that can easily become flammable, refrigerator, and other big items
J.C., you need a minimum of 2 screens, preferably 3. Take it from an old warhorse (USAF, retired 2009). You will leading troops, not "playing games", in the future (if you are not already).
RIP USMMA users, we have original public showers from the 1940s, no public wifi, 8 personal storage drawers, and the rest of the room can only have inspection ready stuff, at least were making 135k coming out

Any tips for applying for Summer Seminar? Applications open in Janurary and I'm excited to apply ASAP. Should I start my essay now so I have more time or what?
How would you start your essay if you don't have the prompt. Just wait till the application comes out and finish it during the first couple weeks that it is opened. Not much tips other than be ready with your weighted and unweighted GPA and your best SAT scores.

I would try and reach out to them to see if you can apply late. I would also apply for the vice presidential nomination if it;s still open. IF not, better luck next year

Pretty much but no one goes through our things besides upperclass during inspections
I love your channel! I have one question tho: how do things work socially in terms of meeting people/relationships and stuff. Like is it comparable to regular colleges with parties and shenanigans (I wouldn't think so but)?
So in terms of finding friends, you wouldn't have to worry about that. Everyone is put into a company filled with other people that you'll live with and hang out with for your 4 years at the Academy. In terms of romantic relationships, you can't date an upperclass as a plebe, you can't date anyone in your company , and you can't date a plebe if you're an upperclass. Those are really the only rules. Mids dating eachother happen all the time but it is a pretty small school so... :)

As long as you can put it away for room inspections, yes

We do allow care packages! I'm a robotics major and I have no idea what a loose deuce is
@@navalaviation the company’s had nicknames ... My friends graduated in 83/84 from 30th .. Robotics major . How impressive.. What is your planning with it ? In college I was a military history major , masters in psychology and now working towards my PhD degree.. I think you deserve a care package... after all the great videos you post . You have a tremendous following .. Thank you for all you do to help the next generation into Bancroft Hall .

I know a guy who the entire ceiling of his shower is the shower head, so maybe it is like that.
