Just a suggestion incase you haven't already tried, we had a horse to get his tail knotted up with stickers. My sister and I decided to try putting Mane & Tail conditioner on his tail everyday for a week. Each day we were able to remove some of those stickers. After removing, we would again apply more conditioner, let soak overnight, and comb again. Eventually, we were able to free him of all stickers and save his long beautiful tail. It might be worth a try.
Thanks,yes under normal circumstances I would have used conditioner,but this was so solid and full of all sorts ,twisted brambles etc as well as the sticker seeds, it would havd taken weeks of little by little day by day. She needed her tail shortened a ton anyway as it dragged on the ground by about 10inches. Also will be getting back in the cart soon so will save me bandaging it ( which 9 times out of 10 she looses on trip).
