Famu wrote the book for others to follow. From the highest of seven hills, the Capitol of Florida, magnificent, incomparable, fantastical, and what has become to be known as America's band. The most imitated band in the entire land. The world famous Florida A&M University marching 100.
Chiiiile please I can name 10 bands in my sleep, and particularly drumlines, that will put whatever this is they got going on to eternal rest REAL QUICK. This is trash.
Hubba doc, the Law, the Maestro, musical and organizing genius, the greatest band director in the country, trend and pacesetter, and creator. So before you comment make sure you read "the bible" for marching bands. In All of America, there's only one.
Everybody is saying "it's just a warm-up", but shouldnt warm-ups be clean too? if the warmup is dirty, what does that say about cadences and the field show music?
Myster Ausby cuz that's horrible. Snares struggling, snares sound a mess, especially the section leader. But I second your motion 1000% - "Sudden Impact" Alum, BCC, now BCU.
That’s how famu is tbh. Famu snares play with their arms instead of their wrist. With famu as long as you can play it (sloppy or clean) then your in the drumline.
marshall smith it actually IS easy to say. because i’ve done it. i found their sheet music for that piece online once and played it. it sounded a bit dusty (lol. i cant front), but i did NOT sound as bad as your 100.

Is this really a college drumline? I played harder warm-ups in high school..And sounded much cleaner.. Whats the link to JSU War and Thunder's warm up?
There are some really good HBCU drumlines out there. This is not one of them. Yes, I know all about FAMU's "fine tradition"...blah, blah, blah... But at some point one has to stop talking about being great and actually BE great. I don't care if this is "just a warm-up", there is no excuse for these kids to sound this bad. C'mon FAMU, get your shit together! Fire your instructors and start over. Your audience, and the kids who sacrafice so much to be part of your organization, deserve better.
Tyrus Edwards I thing it’s a Japanese or Chinese company, back when Famu first got them the company was Ming, but they’ve recently changed their name to Mair, they honestly make some really good drums and all of their products are carbon fiber
Hot garbage. Bethune, SC State, NC A&T, Norfolk are worth watching. They must have been good in the past because of the hype...the reality is that this is hot garbage juice...95 degree weather...raw chicken and shrimp peels from last week...bottom of the trash barrel. Meanwhile, some HBCUs out there are laying down some notes. I see you....
